Haha sometimes junk is all you need and sometimes it's just nice to look at something going up and down if you get my drift. No punception intended. I don't need my boost gauge to be accurate, I just need it to roughly let me know what's going on. For me it's just a tuning tool and will be removed once I arrive at my final tune (if that ever happens). Same with the wideband. I had a cheap boost gauge on another car that was already installed when I bought it. Apparently the car made 2psi when it was switched off. If gauges were necessary or helpful to the average consumer then the manufacturers would have installed them from factory. Imo I'd use them for tuning or not at all. Sleeper look ftw

Ok here are some things that will help you out. Here is a link to ICC removal http://www.fordmods.com/documents.php?d=94 Here are the various picture I have taken just now. Boost gauge connector. Looking at it from the driver's seat. Above view. Idling. Oops they fell out. Close up. Dash piece removed. Melted and tek screwed gauge pod. I should have screwed both (hehehe) cos the other one falls out occasionally. I have new ones so I should probably just fit them instead. A bit of filing for the piping and wiring. Filing from a different angle. Swarf kept for posterity. Some motivation So yeah you pretty much just stuff the boost gauge pipe through the dash and hook it up. The oil gauge needs extra fittings and wiring extended as per our pm's.

I'll take some dash pics for you mate so you can see how mine fit, and also melted last summer.

I've been getting heaps of password reset emails lately and most of them are legit attempts. PSN, Twitter, Ebay, Paypal are just some of the services that have had confirmed attempts. Some filthy farker is trying to hack my sh*t. Is this happening to anyone else lately?

Neighbour's wife becomes regular wife if you get it often enough.

I dropped $850 on a BenQ XL2730Z last year when they were still fairly new. My reasoning was that there is no point having high end equipment and a crappy monitor. I would definitely prefer a gtx1080 as I get between 55 and 60 fps with maxed settings on witcher 3 currently. It ctd fairly quickly if I have afterburner open without an oc and won't load at all with an oc. I would notice the slight improvement that a gtx 1080 would have at that framerate and you can tell the difference in quality when you lower a setting or two to keep the fps above 60. It is worth upgrading if you don't mind the $500 to $700 depreciation that happens if you upgrade as soon as a new card is out. I mind so no upgrading for me yet. On furmark I just scored averages of; 219fps@720p, 130fps@1080p and 82fps@1440p. The minimum and maximum fps were only 2 or 3 fps higher or lower. That was with stock clocks. I just ran the Shadow of Morder benchmark with max settings, again on stock clocks and scored; @720p average: 196.03, max: 338.29, min: 98.39. @1440p average: 104.29, max: 145.73, min: 76.58. @3840x2160 average: 57.76, max: 73.44, min: 46.47. @5120x2880 average: 35.19, max: 43.35, min: 28.72. I guess that gives some idea of how the card handles different resolutions. Clearly gaming is a much lighter load than benchmarking. Imo the gtx980Ti is a 99% 1440p card. It gets you there 99% of the time but still lacks in some areas. All the fps in the world means very little when you get stuttering. That's like having a 400rwkw falcon that hits overboost every 2nd time you floor it.

Good stuff mate. Response in a turbo car is pretty much a little bit of lean/heat as the foot drops then fuel after that and timing to suit. Gotta be happy with improvements.
-
Yerp. Moving up some years to 1994 I used to play Indy 500 with a whopping 40Mhz cpu clock and 32 colours. Nothing like setting up your front and rear wings and gear ratio then holding it flat (mostly) lol. My now insanely rich uncle who was then a pauper like me showed me how his brick of a mobile could connect to the internet and load bulletin boards that we could talk crap on that had stars/asterisks for borders lol. It was long ago but I vaguely recall that perverts reigned supreme even then.
-
Ha I use adblock on my desktop but I only use my phone in the late evening or morning while in bed so haven't bothered. I was on the net before there was 16 colours, batch files were a thing and 25 Mhz was the turbo boost on my cpu. Something something fireworks lol. I'm not that old but I wasn't watching ads then and I don't now except on mobile. I dunno about you blokes but I'm not getting pregnant any time soon and not likely to click lol.
-
Hey k31th you know we get the top banner ads? Do you reckon that I really need an "are you pregnant" ad? We had a baby just 8 weeks ago and we made sure we aren't having a fifth. Advertise me sh*t from bunnings or something, I might actually buy it lol.

Ha I noticed that little discrepancy. It was never wine, it was water. 6 bottles of water it is then. You watching on Netflix? I guess you watch in the order of release date?! I just checked and there is Star Trek galore on Netflix and only "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" available in Australia right now. I'd recommend; Suits, Vampire Diaries and various other sci fi or zombie 1 season series. I'm currently watching Ascension and it doesn't suck too badly. I liked Meat Eater as a hunting series and Arrow wasn't too bad if dragging it's heels somewhat. Sons of Anarchy has a billion seasons if you like watching that sort of thing. The Originals is a spinoff of Vampire Diaries. Vikings might strike your fancy. From Dusk Till Dawn might be your thing but I thought it was a bit too much like a soggy nacho cheese plate. If you can handle the "Wild West" then I'd recommend that you watch all of the seasons of Deadwood. Don't blame me if your every second phrase is "goddamn cocksucker" after you watch it. For a tamer version that is more likely to piss you off at it's cheesiness watch Longmire. Download or buy The Walking Dead for a stretched out zombie excursion. Don't forget all the great movies from the last 30 years from Tarantino. I can't think of much more right now but I watched most of that in the last 18 months or so.

Don't believe the hype man. It doesn't look that close online but we're dealing with advertising here. My card is aftermarket and apparently I got a good one as it sits at 1530Mhz when gaming and drops to 1518 otherwise. I've successfully had it at 1547 when benching but that's good for fa. I was quite surprised then amused when the new gaming and synthetic benchmarks came out earlier in the year and my 980ti was already beating them. I was expecting miracles but I guess that is a testament to my noobness lol. I'm sure some blower versions don't fare nearly as well in testing but you should know that advertisers use the worst of the old and the best of the new for promoting new products. Yes you can overclock a new one, providing the chip in question will oc. Clock cycles aren't equal on different chipsets as the instructions per second differ greatly as proven (to me at least) by my own testing with various cards as well as being public knowledge. A Mhz number is not the be all and end all. We also rely on having quality drivers and bios's for our cards. Fortunately my card doesn't catch on fire like some 1080's. I rarely see more than 75 degrees at 50% fan in a 35 degree room with an oc on air. Aftermarket coolers ftw. Fyi the 980ti is dx12 compatible.

Here lemme fix that for you 1 fish, 1 loaf of bread and 6 bottles of wine.

Umm down the drain? You never had your paint, you never even had your car...until a couple of weeks ago. I think your paint has been uv affected over time or had a slight scratch in it. When you blasted it the paint just came right off. Yes thank me Captain Obvious Here is a link to how to repaint it cos at the end of the day that is what you will need to do. Disclaimer: I haven't tried this method but it seems legit. If you don't trust it then check with your local crash repair.

Haha you'd think after that long that there would be fully integrated, reliable dual card gaming options but it ain't so. I have at least one game that I remember (The golf club) refused to run when in crossfire and everything else had stuttering or crashing issues. There are other examples that required the user to spend hours setting up individual cf or sli profiles in order to get games to run smoothly and reliably. When the founders edition gtx 1080 came out they were $1200 and the aftermarket gtx 980ti's were $650 new. If there was decent sli and crossfire support I would have bought another 980ti in a heartbeat. As you mentioned dual card setups are pretty much only good for benchmarking and I agree 100%. My firestrike benchmark went from 18072 to 17002 when I went to a single 980ti from 2 aftermarket r9 290x's but now have none of the issues I had with cf. That sh*t can make you pull your hair out lol. Imo a gtx 1080 is still not the best bang for buck at the moment. I'd still be happy to buy a second hand 980ti now if I had to make the choice, although I bought mine new a year ago. My card exceeds a 1080 when oc'd and is still within 5 to 10% when stock. No doubt the 1080 is a better card but not worth swapping a 980ti for such a minimal upgrade. It would be worth upgrading to a 1080 from earlier generations though. Any way one looks at it, building a top tier gaming computer is expensive as crap by the time peripherals are accounted for. It's still cheaper to play Assetto Corsa than to flog the hell out of my xr6 through the hills though so that's a thing!

So apart from knocking down my fence and blowing every bin in the street over we escaped relatively unharmed. We even still have power on which is surprising!
-
Haha don't worry mate the baby can only stay awake for an hour or so at a time.
-
I'm currently petitioning my wife as we speak. It's not looking good at this stage, the baby has taken over the boobies.
-
I've changed nothing and have no wiring issues nor gaf either. Problem solved!?
-
Ya old carnt! I usually stay awake until I'm tired which is 1:00am most nights. My latest thing is to go to bed at a normal time ie:10:00pm and then wake up at 1:00am and stay awake for 2 or 3 hours then go to bed. It sucks a fat one as I'm left tired and fatigued for most of the day. I'm not sure if that's from getting old or sleep walking.

I've lived in every capital city bar Darwin. I've also been to almost every small town in Australia. If you are talking about geographic planning or urban structure then you couldn't be farther from the truth. Do some research and you will see that Adelaide is one of Australia's best planned cities. Here's a start; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelaide https://goo.gl/maps/8qtTn5GfNg62 Whatever gen x/y opinion exists of this place you will see that a fresh outlook reveals that this city/state is on par with anywhere in Australia in regards to urban planning.

I reserve the word epic for stuff that actually matters like the himalayas rising or an earthquake exploding in the main street. Next year indeed.
-
Farken hell I just saw this now. I filled up 2 hours ago and made my car ok to drive on the street. I came home and had some drinks and now I'm stuck here. I don't know how I missed this. Edit: I have no faceballs. My wife just told me there are 2500 people confirmed attending and she knew about it a few days ago. Maybe I got lucky lol.

The breaker was fine (for the wiring) as it didn't trip. The wiring was too thin for the load and heated up and burnt.
