How do you figure that? A quick look through Ebay shows that it isn't cheaper to buy 2 pcm's let alone pay someone to set up and tune just one of them. For sure some folks could wait around and find a cheap pcm on gumtree or something and set it up themselves but even then you still need the hardware to do it which is around the $1000 mark.

You mean a drag strip? I went to one recently myself. It cost $100, I did skids and drove my car nearly double the speed limit. I didn't risk anyone's life that hadn't signed up for it and got a total of zero demerits and zero fines.

I see your point about there being a possible raised risk of people doing a runner. I don't however agree with your stance on mandatory and immediate punishment. It is worth noting that police already have discretion about whether or not they want to stop your car and even if they do stop you, whether or not they want to take further action. As for mandatory immediate licence suspension and car impoundment there are obvious reasons why this is a suitable and preferred method of removing offenders and their vehicles from endangering the general public. Do you really want people with so little regard for human life and public safety ie; high range drink driving, excessive speed, dangerous driving, unlawful threatening, sex offenders etc (that is not an exhaustive list by any means) to be able to just resume driving or remain a threat once the police give them some paperwork with a court date and leave the scene? Fark no, they need to be dealt with at the time of offence and in some cases removed from society immediately until a court date. Just my 2c Brb pulling a skid

Lol I just had a slightly closer read of that link I posted and it appears to be for au stuff. It should still provide assistance with search terms at least.

Not taking away from that advice but rather adding to it, I've found aftermarket boost control a breeze to set up compared to the stock ford stuff when learning from scratch. On the plus side the stock stuff does work for 99.9% of applications and is free. I don't know about every pcm but mine has the option of making it manual or auto by ticking a box and inputting trans specs. Mine is designed for the zf though and I don't know what strategies can be flashed into it. It may not be able to run a btr and that's where I'd agree with using the specific ecu for the trans.
-
The pinout is referring to the pins on the ecu and a wiring diagram describes what signals come in or out of those pins. The wiring loom may look identical and be physically transferable (on many cars) but there can be different signals on some of the pins or slightly different internal wiring that prevent a simple ecu or loom swap. From what ralph is saying and what I can vaguely remember you need to rewire the tmap sensor as the wiring is back to front or something. I haven't looked it up for a few years but I know there is some very specific info online about ford tmap sensor wiring and voltage scales. This should get you started. As I said it's been a while but for me since I looked this stuff up but this should clarify some things for you and also give a starting point for your research.

That does all make sense and while I don't have the answers myself some guys here can definitely give you solid advice. What I can offer is a recommendation to check out the hp tuners forum. There is a lot of specific tuning and non bolt on modifying advice over there.

Bf xr6 turbo suspension? Issue.
Puffwagon replied to Jaidenbfxr6t's topic in Suspension and Handling
Not all mechanics try to shaft you. My local mechanic only charged me $30 to put my car on the hoist and properly adjust my trans fluid level. Well worth it considering the fark around of doing it in the driveway. I can't see anyone charging much just for a diagnosis even if they are charging $100+ p/h. -
Evening. Getting there, getting there.

That'll do. Same as mercury draught. Woop 1300 posts! Now where's my chicken dinner?

Humor me. Specific density and all bro.

So basically as long as your shart don't stink we're all good. Please repeat that k31th but in algebraic notation.

Where do I sign up for this saucy pass the parcel?

I see your point and don't disagree. I also stick to my comment. As for going deeper I'm kinda over it k31th. Like I said I'm on mobile so its a pita to even comment let alone look stuff up to prove a point. My stupid phone has the farken worst predictive text I've ever used. Imo there is fark all you and I can do as individuals to influence the education system in Victoria which is where I'm guessing this came from so we can only really state our views and move on. That's a fair point Cris. We're not all farked. I would look after and protect someone else's kids or missus as I would my own. Edit: more so protect lol. Ain't nobody got time for freeloaders lol.

I see that there are key points we agree upon that are being separated by definition or pedantry. Legislation needs to exist however that is another issue and I agree that mere words on paper won't stop an ill intentioned individual from drink driving or illicit butt farking. To show why my viewpoint is the best current solution is to point out that we currently segregate the genders and that is societies norm. The fact is that we are separated and I would argue that this does prevent crime due to lack of opportunity. Yes we should share when applicable but that would be rarely,in the changeroom context imo. I can add to fluffs sentiment about change rooms; I'm a dad and a loyal husband, I'm also a normal man and would have a boner from here to Mexico if I shared a room with showering naked women. I can obviously control my urge to run over there and fark them all or start jerking off but it is not a comfortable situation for me or anyone else. There are many people who would not or could not restrain themselves.
-
Not in every situation but in this one, yeah they should. I take my young kids to the toilet to be supervised on the off chance that some sick fark is in there. Ok I'll give you a pointer mate. Look up the ratio of male on female sexual assaults vs the female on female or male in male sexual assaults. Also look up how often mental illness plays a part in sex crimes against children. Then use some common sense to extrapolate those results to a bathroom environment that has exposed genitalia. Then add some mental illness to the mix. Nothing extraordinary about working that out. So guys, should we allow society to choose their own gender no matter their age or mental faculty, based upon their own private agenda and have grown men and women sharing public toilets with vulnerable children and women based on this decision? The world is full is sick farks and my answer is a resounding no.
-
Oh you sweet summer child. The world is not an innocent and nice place. Git yo ass over to live leak. George Michael was caught masturbating in public toilets so I guess they aren't just for weewees and poopoos. Nek minute your kid walks in for a piss and gets jizzed on. Fark that sh*t. I'll happily live with segregation of the genders if it helps prevent sick farks sick farking.

Mental health lies at the heart of this discussion. It isn't normal to want to chop your cock off and grow a set of tits. Your comments appear to suggest that because these things happen we should ignore them when making decisions for society because they will happen anyway. There will be evidence of my allegation and if you really want it then look it up. I'm on mobile right now and cbf. Unfortunately yes. I think the number of farked people that need help or shooting is much higher than 1%. If just one person is affected by another person's deliberate actions then we need to address the problem. It is common knowledge that thousands of people are affected by the issues that we are discussing. Ps we don't live in America. We don't have amendments. Agreed fluff. I can bench your bodyweight in one arm and you can make babies. There is nothing in the world that can make us equal in those regards. It doesn't detract from either of our self worths and doesn't make one of us better than the other. We are just different.
-
Do you even lawyer bro? We have legislation, police that enforce it, lawyers that say it wasn't me, witnesses that say yes you did and a judge that decides which evidence holds greater weight. It is less likely for assaults to occur, mainly against females, if we separate genders, especially if there are mental health issues present. Kinda like it's less likely for life changing accidents to occur because we impose "abritary" regulations upon sex, drinking and driving etc.
-
Ironically the formation of the majority of our legislation is based upon the suppression of malicious intent. Just recently in the news there was an article of a 15 yo girl that was railed by 25 dudes in the school toilet block. Who thinks that it's ok to let the younger kids near that situation? Raise your hands. Imho if anyone thinks that there would be no negative consequences with mixed gender toilets combined with gender disorientation/mental illness they are being naive. In a perfect world it would work. Unfortunately this world is far from perfect.

Character attack, strawman logic combined with a false dichotomy. The hallmarks of a great debater. We aren't talking about drunken clubbing, the topic is about whether children can define their own gender and whether it is suitable to integrate this ideology into mainstream society. Would you want your 4 year old daughter sharing a toilet at school with 13 year old boys?
-
Awww thanks K31th. 1. Agreed. Except when this rule is abused and there is some horny dude jerking off in the cubicle next to my daughter. It is 100% likely this scenario will occur in some form. 2. Agreed. That's why we tell them that boys have a pen*s and girls have a vagina. 3. Somewhat abritary but certainly not entirely. Genetic abnormalities aside, do you have a pen*s? You're male. If not then you're female. 4. Agreed. 5 year olds know what they're taught and use their limited use of logic to extrapolate imagined situations. Our job as parents is to define what is realistic and what is not. 5. Herpes is fairly benign but we should still seek a cure. Without opening a can of worms I feel that an individual would have a greater quality of life if they are not in distress especially something as firmly ingrained as gender identity. To recap and be clear imo any disorder should be cured if it can increase the quality of life of someone. I'm all for sharing the same toilet as it means little to me. As someone who has been online since for a long time I'm not sure I trust that everyone would act in societies best interest while peeing/pooping.
-
Haha k31th you avoided her question. Good chat. Here's my take. Men/boys have a pen*s and women/girls have a vagina. If you wish you were the other gender then that's fine but tough sh*t, you're not. If you believe you are then you're mentally ill. There is a reason that we have legal ages for sex, driving, drinking etc. It's because younger people are incapable of making informed decisions that may drastically affect their lives later. I could go on but cbf. Edit: I can say vagina but not pen*s. Sexist much?

Mmm Hondas. Brb installing vtec in conjunction with vct on my ford. Actually I'll do no such thing. I just made the kids a raspberry smoothie, gave the cat some wet food and cleaned the kitchen a little.
