  1. The block doesn't gaf. The compressor and iat are what matter in this case. Edit: I spose you meant rods.
  2. I would if she could keep up. Apparently having a 12 week old baby with three other young kids doesn't allow much time or inclination to hit it. I always pull out...eventually. Jks we have that sorted, no more babies. Off (or back on) topic, I saw a subaru come on boost (in second gear I think) a while back into a 90 zone. The farker spun 4 tires and hauled ass. They can't be all bad.
  3. Nah, too old for that sh*t. Got married, had all me kids, now I just think about days of yore.
  4. I remember that conversation. It'll help with grip but a tune will do the same thing. Turbine mods aside you are asking a lot of a 62ish mm compressor. I haven't plotted the compressor map or tried it myself but I can tell you from experience that even if you weld your wastegate shut you will be lucky to hit 30psi with a 35r on a 4L and 25psi will be gone in no time. You'll still hit the usual top end wall that the stock or slightly modified turbo has. Having it ramp up that quick due to compressor limitations will likely remove any chance of having grip, in most situations.
  5. That graph is more laggy than my gen2 gtx35r in the stock ford housing. I still have stock compression. I currently get 5psi at 1800 rpm with no brake boosting. I haven't even changed my timing as it comes onto boost yet. I know from logging I could improve spool quite a bit. Why is your car coming on so slow?
  6. Not me. I have advice regarding your car however. For big power you will need everything beefed up. There is no cheap way of making a ba fast. Hell there's no cheap way of making most cars fast. My advice is if you are serious then sell your car and buy one that is already done. I have seen some quality cars for sale over the last couple of years that are being offered at half the cost of doing it yourself. Well that's me done for now. Update us with results of your big power.
  7. Here is a variety of methods for cooking them.
  8. Just so you guys know my birthday is this year. I'll pm you my address.
  9. Keeping coolant inside the engine is always a good thing.
  10. Not sure mate. I'll chuck it on the dyno when 4th won't hook. I had my doubts about the T3's but I'm happy now. Edit: He was asking about fair priced diff bush choices recently. Sometimes our finances change.
  11. Fair enough mate. Imo brakes are not a priority when going "fairly big" on a ba. I've got more get up and go than boxy (no hard feelings mate) and I'm happy to keep the t3 fronts with the stock rears until well past 400rwkw on the street or drags. I like your outlook of doing it right the first time though.
  12. If you want good stopping ability with minimal outlay then I'd suggest T3 front rotors with pmu pads. @JETURBO sorted me out with my brakes and not only did he save me money (thanks jet) but I haven't felt any fade yet and the car stops beautifully.
  13. Are they recessed a bit? Maybe you can just leave them there and cover them with a sheet of gyprock or the like. Then you'd just have to plaster and paint it when you do the rest of the room.

    Aquaponics

So I was thinking about grow beds. On the site linked earlier in the thread there are 500 litre tubs for nearly $400 a pop. Ain't nobody got time fo dat! Bunnings has 170 litre tubs for less than $20 a pop. They are made from a different type of plastic but appear to suitable.

It looks like you can remove pesticides etc with various types of filters.
  16. The rego runs out tonight and cos I hardly use it I'm not going to renew it until the cruise.
  17. Fark yeah beautiful weather this morning. My cars having a rest for the next couple of months after today so I should probably take it for a spin before the lunch beers add up.
  18. Thanks mate, they removed it all so it should be ok. Apparently I have tough skin so my doctor asked me if I got a lot of sun over the years. I said, "About half and half, you know, cos half the time it's night time". Haha, dad joke Morning to ya all.
  19. I hope it all turns out for the best for you and yours mate. Not much more I can say.
  20. Yep. It also depends where you are. The roads out here are straight. I've seen a local bloke driving a few days after being stopped for going at least 45 over. I know cos I sped up to check after he overtook me flat out.
  21. I've had a decent lump appear on my neck over the last 2 months. After 2 weeks I accidentally scratched it and it bled for over half an hour. I patched it up and from nothing it turned into a half cc protuberance. I got it removed today under local. I'll find out soon if it is benign or not.
