  1. Confirm every single piece of rubber/silicone is serviceable. Remove it and check it for possible boost leaks. A crack/split can hide and you might miss it. Make sure it is all clamped up properly. Don't the fg's have plastic ic piping that can crack? Check it closely. Check intake side for vacuum/boost leaks. There are several methods. Do you have a pie sized hole in your intercooler? Check manifold and turbo gaskets and fasteners. I know you said the manifold was loose last time. Did you remove the heat shielding and do up the lower bolts? Did you get all the turbo fasteners? They can be a karnt to get to. If it is acting na then the wastegate could be stuck open or just flapping in the breeze if the actuator rod is not attached. It's kinda hard to fix it without being there but hopefully someone's suggestion will hit the nail on the head.
  2. Cheers mate. It'll be there but good to know I can still partake if it decides to have more issues. The only thing with issues after I swap some bearings is the trans and as long as I don't do wot 2-3 shifts it still works fine.
  3. I just booked a 6 bed cabin for Friday and Saturday at Belair. Kids under 5 are free! I got rid of the clunk in the back of my car and I've got bearings arriving tomorrow and Monday. I'll save my polishing until Friday morning as it only takes a day or two for my car to get dusty af again. Things are starting to look up.
  4. Yeah me too. I must have the origins setting configured so it doesn't update automatically. Edit: Yep the client update was enabled but game updates weren't. All fixed!
  5. When you decide to play battlefield 1 and it has to download a 6GB update and your internet is downloading at 2MB a second
  6. She's not too bad apart from the odd placement of various groceries. She'll always take dishes to the kitchen without being asked and can unload the dishwasher and put the cutlery away in the right spots. It's the boys that are slack arses.
  7. When you ask your 2yo to put away the washing powder.
  8. I'm pretty sure he gets that...
  9. I've currently got fat bastard pains. It pains me to be a fat bastard. This is me when I go to bed at night Oh and some cool stuff I just bought was rear wheel bearings and a tailshaft bearing.
  10. I bit the bullet and looked up how much it cost. Then I didn't order one. My current chair feels like a concrete slab with a twist of scoliosis.
  11. Tighten your turbo and exhaust manifold nuts and bolts. If you don't give it a hiding on your drive then it is likely that nothing will happen. You might get an engine light due to the rear O2 sensor reading differently from stock. You can swap the intercooler and cat/exhaust without a tune but you'll have to drive off boost more or less until it's tuned. You can't swap the injectors or raise the boost without a tune. You will be better off buying all your parts and then dumping it all at the tuners for fitting and tuning. That way you will only pay for one tune. Go all out and do it once to save money in the long run.
  12. It depends how much blow by your motor has. I left mine off for a couple of weeks and almost nothing came out.
  13. Ok different setup then... Haha it's never too early for a dad joke.
  14. At least you know where it all goes now. It'll give you something to move forward with.
  15. How bent is your axle? My car tramped at the drags a while ago and it tore all of my stock diff bushes and I suspect that is what bent my driver side axle. I did replace the diff bushes with superpro polylast afterwards and maybe that could have bent it on the road due to greater shock loading. I didn't notice it until much later and it didn't affect the drivability either.
  16. All good man. I know all about putting off annoying little jobs. The only problem is they add up and turn into annoying big jobs. Are you any good at brazing? You could make it work with some bits and pieces.
  17. Haha I knew I should have taken those pics. Brb. Ok so you can see that it runs straight down and around the front of the turbo ust under the intake and terminates in a pipe under the ps pump.
  18. Ok I took a few pics from the turbo to where it attaches over the other side under the thermostat housing. I'll post them in order and the last one is looking from the back of the car to the front.
  19. If you can't get hold of a stock hard line you could make a hard line fairly easily if you have a pipe flaring tool and the other tools/parts you need. I can take some pics for you sometime if you want to see how all the stock stuff looks.
  20. Time to update that sig then ay?! Heh I spose if it works it works. Is the hose still flexible?
  21. I guess if you're only running 7 psi it doesn't get as hot. It still looks melty though
  22. It does look a bit melty. I've seen my turbine housing and part of the manifold glowing red a few times. Haha I wrote that before I saw your last post jet.
  23. I'm glad you did that mate cos you need to look after yourself first. It obviously was something that was/is bothering you and that can lead to resentment and wasted time if not dealt with. Remember that although you have spoken you mind and "the ball is in her court", you can still decide what is best for you. You seem to be a switched on dude and have your sh*t sorted. Needless to say, don't let anyone lead you into misery or empty pockets. Keep your head up man and keep sight of your own goals. Fwiw I don't mind waking up early too much as long as I have 6 hours sleep or so.
  24. Don't you love it when your missus rolls over and boots you at 3am then that's you awake for the day? It's not all bad though, once again I get 3 or 4 hours of quiet time
