  1. A farked trans is worthless
  2. It doesn't matter that it's from an F6, it's the same as any other turbo box. I just saw one for sale on market place for $700.
  3. The gearbox is at least $2000 to much but I could live with the rest of the stuff. You could get a flex plate of market place for $20 though.
  4. Fitted my hectic cam today and dialled in the idle fuel a bit. While I was half way through the install I had a phone call and when I was nearly done working on the car, I couldn't remember if I torqued the cam gear bolts. Pulled it back apart to check, I had done it, 2 hours later I was back to where I was lol. Better safe than sorry but fark that for a waste of time. Still a couple of weeks till I can use the shed, so I was out there in full sun, bent over cos the car is low. Dyno tomorrow, hopefully it all works good and does what is supposed to.
  5. I wonder if you can slightly modify your clutch pedal to change the ratio, to make it easier to push?
  6. It is when you know how. It would be a 6 hour job for someone who's done it before and has access to a workshop.
  7. Swap flywheel for flexplate, swap box and add trans mount, swap/add trans loom, swap tailshaft, add trans cooler, add shifter and shifter wiring, flash pcm and tcm, send it. Should only take a couple of days Start advertising and someone will do it for you.
  8. What's the status of the vehicle now?
  9. I hadn't heard of just 1 and 6 being done but maybe a high profile workshop has seen a trend in their machining? I just gave a couple of blocks some measuring and inspecting and 1 and 6 don't look or measure any different, as far as potential bore thickness goes. The bores themselves aren't much chop. None of the bores are siamese so they are all equally weak in that regard. I would just do the lot if I was already there getting it done.
  10. Yes I have heard of just sleeving a broken cylinder before. While this rubs my need for symmetry and uniformity the wrong way, in reality it is a valid repair. Make damn sure the machine shop knows what they're doing, not all machine shops are equal and there is a lot that goes into sleeve selection etc.
  11. It's nearly winter, maybe time for some sleeves
  12. Fark sake, breaking at that power level is pretty bad, but at least it didn't catastrophically fail. It could have taken the rest of the rotating assy with it.
  13. Surprised to see a block split at that power level but I guess they do, if yours did. It's not a small task to fix that, look into options before you spend up big.
  14. What issues did you come across? Just the usual immediate post build stuff like leaks etc? Edit: you said rollers, is he gonna do hub and roller while you're there?
  15. I just spent the past 3 months training for cock fighting. No one told me I needed a rooster 😐
  16. IMS can supply and install those direct port Aquamist water meth kits. It works amazingly well and you still retain your 98 levels of fuel economy.
  17. No E85 left in Morwell, you gonna keep it on 98 for now or get a flex fuel tune?
  18. Brake cleaner... Everything is a bidet if you're brave enough
  19. Hectic cam arrived today, I ordered tools for it today, last time I borrowed them on offer but don't want to be that guy who borrows stuff. Tools will arrive next week and I can get to tuning again lol. I think it will be very close in the tune anyway for reasons. Gonna head to roll racing and actually go this time, should do some chopping, at least the commodores anyway.
  20. No one? It's enter sandman by metallica
  21. Someone will guess it
  22. Try saying it out loud.
  23. Who can guess this? Do do doodoo do, do do doodoo do, do do doodoo do, do doodoo doodoo doodoo do.
  24. Gotta give you something to do ay keef
