  1. I've been fighting off whatever the kids have, they are all snotty etc. I'm feeling better today but was pretty run down yesterday.
  2. Haha I am getting a prop for the boat on Friday. I placed an order for a Haltech plugin today so that should be arriving next week sometime. I have a guy wanting me too tune his billet block, massive turbo car to 2000hp next year with a Haltech, so I figured I would get familiar with it now. Plus it will keep my own engine running the way I want and has features I would like to use in the future.
  3. The actuator is pneumatic, it is controlled by air aka boost pressure. The solenoid lets the air through to open the actuator, or stops the air getting through to keep the actuator closed. You answered your own question. Something to check is any splits or cracks in both the line connected to the boost solenoid. Apart from that, you'll need to take it back to the tuner and get them to have a look at it for you.
  4. Nah I'll just get stuff done at home. I've got a flamin headache and my enthusiasm level is a solid 2/10.
  5. Haha nice emoji there I'm gonna stay home today, the bimini cover sh*t itself last time so I would end up sunburnt if I went out all day. I'll get a new cover and take it out on Sunday instead I reckon. Plus I cbf lol. In other news, Roll Racing is on again this Saturday and the weather is good.
  6. Yeah man, it's what you gotta do to catch decent fish. It also pretty peaceful out there, nice and quiet when you're a couple of km offshore.
  7. Yep well I didn't buy it just to look at it...unlike my dyno 🙃
  8. Far out man, it's pretty tempting to take the boat out tomorrow, I've got enough free time this week to catch up on things and the weather will be perfect. I just got a year pass to a local boat ramp, which will cut down my commute to the free boat ramp, and also cut 20 minutes off my sailing time to get to the fishing spot. Farken winning 🚤
  9. Good job on the not drinking. I did 6 months last year and I reckon it reverse aged me by 10 years.
  10. I haven't looked on youtube yet for my specific application, but I do recall watching a guy with his 3D printer making all kinds of different props for his model boat. I currently have a 13 1/2 by 12 prop, I think I can probably go closer to 15 on the pitch without sacrificing much bottom end, we'll see how it goes lol. With just me in the boat it gets on plane nearly straight away, it takes a second or two with everyone in it though.
  11. Installed a new tacho in the boat. Now I can see what rpm it does and see how hectic a prop I can use for higher speed.
  12. No they don't, and I see many people from there gravitate from there to here, to get the legit help that is available here.
  13. The trans might need some tuning. Talk to your local barra specialist and get them to set it up for drag racing. Tell them how much you want to stall it up so they can adjust it accordingly. For reference, at one point my territory did a 12.29 at 110mph with a 1.85 60ft and a 11.57 at 120mph with a 1.94 60ft. Good result there though mate, 12.2 is pretty quick, just gotta get it dialled and you'll be in the 11s in no time! Edit: RVO can get you a solid trans and converter package that comes tuned, without breaking the bank.
  14. Installed 2 more jets into the intake this morning and went for a drive. After adjusting the fuel a bit I got a fairly decent result, it feels faster, the intake temp is staying the same or getting colder through the pull, so it must be doing something. I think my cam phasers are a bit worn out as they are the original 365000km old ones and there is a bit of cam error happening. I suppose that will be the next thing I'll be swapping. I was gonna dyno it on Saturday but I have a service to do, so maybe I'll have to wait another week.
  15. My wastegate line split today and made 32psi in the mid. Lucky I know a thing or two about tuning and there was ample protection there to save it. I reckon some dash 4 fittings are in order for the wastegate and Mac valve, this should prevent any further issue like this arising. On a side note, I think I'm going to add more water meth jets to the intake, cos the warmer weather is showing enough of a tune change to warrant further cooling. Also did a trans service today, the trans fan stopped working yesterday while I was towing the boat and the car went into limp mode for a hot trans. I sorted out the fan wiring, gave it a fresh batch of hectic trans oil and a fresh filter, iirc the filter comes from a ranger. Should give the old girl a wash, it's probably been 2 years since it had one
  16. My car did this once, just died in traffic, then it half came back to life with the dimly pulsing dash, then it started again and the issue never happened again. I know there was a wire that had broken in the loom under the passenger side dash, as the car would not manually up-shift. Whether this contributed to the issue or not, I can't say. You'll need an auto elec to come out and sort it for you.
  17. Stock overboost setting is 2.2psi, could just be doing that and going brrr
