  1. Found a small leak in a vband, fitting my 1800hp turbo to fix it.
  2. Nah I checked, carnts just didn't do it right. Bunch of teenagers working on a Friday lol. Second tyre was off by 105g each side when I checked their work, and when I took the weights off and spun it, it was only off by 50g and 20g respectively. They literally didn't balance it and left old weights on it, or just chucked something on to make it look good. I quoted $50 to remove and balance two tyres, first one took me nearly 45 minutes to get right, cos after farking with the balance, I had to debead it and rotate the tyre 90 degrees on the rim. Second tyre took 5 minutes lol, as they should. Oh well, at least I have a return customer lol.
  3. Balanced a couple of mud tyres this morning. The guy had been to a shop to get them fitted and balanced and complained about severe vibration. I chucked them on my machine and one was 115 grams out on one side! The other one was not much better. Needless to say I got both of his tyres to 00 each and he and his vehicle were much happier.
  4. Drank fireball whiskey last night, feel ten types of crap. Yay Saturday
  5. I overestimated the amount of duty cycle needed to make boost and I had the cut set at 30 just in case. Haha I was aiming for 25psi which is pretty normal, I will send the farker when the time comes, you can bet your whiskers
  6. Cos no one would donate and the advertisers moved to FB
  7. New FG coils fitted today, it fixed the cutting out issue so that's good. It also was going brrr on the dyno yesterday over about 12psi so it fixed that too. Tried to crank some boost into it today and it hit 32psi at 3200rpm then hit the boost cut. Turned it down slightly but there's a godamn boost leak on the intake side somewhere, I can hear it and it isn't holding boost. It wasn't there before the rebuild so I've just gotta have a look at what I've touched and get it sorted. Also I remembered that I already replaced the valve stem seals so I ain't changing sh*t! Just another day in the life lol
  8. Yay Friday
  9. Yes it's still there, along with the cutting out issue, despite changing the battery. I'm going to do the coils, valve guide seals, valve springs and retainers tomorrow and just for a sanity check, change the cam timing to a known good economy position. Should take about 4 or 5 hours if I smash it, lucky I've had a coles order today that included plenty of energy drinks!!!
  10. Oh yeah I ran gate pressure to start with...180awkw on 3.5psi lol
  11. Eh I ain't re-updating nuffin But here's today's update: I went down to the dyno to diagnose a fuel issue and instead found another issue. It made 265awkw on 10psi so not too shabby there. The valve springs wouldn't have it with the hectic cams and would valve float with much more boost than that, so didn't bother going further. I'll be upgrading my valve springs and installing new valve stem seals while I'm there. I'll let it run in a bit more anyway before I turn it up too much. The fuel issue is that it's using over double the required amount of fuel at cruise, over triple at idle and has an average of 50L\100km at the moment, and that's not all from flooring it either. I've checked everything known to man except drive-line drag, but it ain't the brakes dragging if it is. Trans shifts perfectly, doesn't slip at all etc. I wonder if the converter is farked? I'll message the trans shop and get their opinion. Anyway there's that, maybe one day it will let me just drive it for a while without having to fix something
  12. Oh well at least it's sorted as it can be now. Yay Thursday
  13. Wednesday out the ass
  14. Stuck it in quicker than ya dad on his honeymoon
  15. Yep it's one of those spots that has those issues. It's easy enough to do in the car, still a pita though
  16. Hmmm looks like that got a tad hot! Here's a pic, I helicoiled my sump turbo oil return.
  17. It's Tuesday
  18. A little bit more coating info, the engine in the video will be making around 2000hp
  19. Lol is that why you were a butthead yesterday? It was a joke man, your reply had no humour in it, so you do have some explaining to do
  20. Run that line to the catch can too and block off the port to the intake manifold. If you don't wanna change stuff, just use a stock one way valve like you would see in the brake booster line.
  21. You don't need a check valve. The routing goes from rocker cover, to catch can, to turbo intake. At no point should there be boost present in the catch can system. You use a one way valve for the brake booster from the intake manifold, and the stock one does the job just fine.
  22. I did hear it was windy over there. It was slightly windy here the past few days too.
  23. A mob of bastards, to be sure
