Yay Saturday and yay Sunday Looked after some dogs this weekend. There was this one male chihuahua, he was literally smaller than my cat, an old boy but so friggin cute lol. The missus and girls wanted to see him, so I took them over and the dog just started snuggling the hell out of them. I also hand fed him the dog loaf cos he didn't want to eat off the ground... don't ask lol.

Why not both

Went from a weight that last week was a 3rm, to the same weight today of a 5rm with 2 rir. Muscle memory ftw lol. Looking forward to getting under some heavy iron in a few months. I have a gym buddy now, he has a massive frame but not strong yet. We all start somewhere and I know that he'll get strong af soon too. After just 4 workouts he's gone from 50kg for 6 squats to to 75kg for 8. That's just the nervous system learning a movement pattern, we all plateau after a few months but pretty cool to see happen nonetheless. Good times man, we're both natural lifters, I'm mid 40s, he's late 30s, pretty sure he'll overtake me eventually, but we'll farken see how it all goes

Yerp. The shed builder replied to their info request on Friday but there's been no update yet. The council also wants to know what I'm going to use the shed for. How about I'm using it to store a cup of mind your own business?!

Yeah I dunno what crack they are smoking. They were also asking about septic tanks of which there are none, per their mandate several years ago for every house to connect to mains sewage. Asking for a diagram of the house waste water, that the plumber already gave them several years ago when they connected us. Also asking for a scale to be included on the shed plans, which is already there if they bothered to look. Gotta be a pita for no reason ay

The council said I can only have 80m2 and my proposed size will be 192m2. I replied to them saying that my neighbour has a 120m2 shed, only 3 years old, on the same size block as me (1700m2) and another local property is on 950m2 with a 175m2 shed. Fortunately the council doesn't have the last say in the matter, but I will be waiting a little longer than anticipated. End of the day I could just do a small upgrade to my existing shed and save myself 90k...it's kinda tempting but I'll see how it plays out first.

If a knock sensor becomes unplugged it will automatically pull all the available timing the tune will allow. In some cases this can be as much as 14 degrees so you end up running only a couple of degrees timing. This is something you can log with a scanner or a ford specific tuning solution. You really need to go to a shop that can properly diagnose and fix the car. Throwing parts at it and hoping it fixes it is not how you go about things.

Did meal prep on the weekend, back to eating rice veg and various meat. This one is completely home made chicken curry, with rice and veg, not the most glamorous but it does the job.

Nope not made up, legit small ass fluffy farken dog, piss bolting down the road after a dude on a Harley. Dog had to be going 35 to 40kph lol. The hound in question gave up the chase as I pulled towards the intersection, it trotted my way but fortunately I was ahead of it, as I pulled into a side street. In my rear view mirror I watched a car dodge the errant escapee, as I continued to the bus stop to pick up my kids from school. I sat there in my car, a 1993 Honda Integra, with the aircon running and noticed another parent pull up behind me to pick up her kid. Again, in the rear view mirror, I saw the same dang dog standing up against the dash, boinging merrily, from the lady's passenger seat. After she retrieved her kid and as she walked past, I asked her if she had an escape artist. She said she did, that the dog liked to chase motorcycles and that she saw it narrowly escaped being skedaddled twice. I replied that I saw the whole thing, corroborating her story, and she indicated that she still had a high heart rate, and said she was still mildly flustered over the incident. Finally I said that it was understandable to feel that way, after all I had seen the event play out. We said our goodbyes and we went our respective and seperate ways.

There are downsides in some cases, but for the most part you can just use 2 pumps and be done with it.

Got back in the gym, it's been a while. Can still bench bw (115kg) for reps, not behd. Can squat bw for 10 reps, meh not behd, not great though. Roughly 60% of the same time last year 😐 Be happy to deadlift 220kg this Xmas, see how it goes.
