  4. Gonna ask here cos this forum tends to have a trick or two up it's sleeve. I bought a haltech elite pro plug in for my territory and the cruise control ain't working. It will switch on via the cruise on/off button but it won't set etc. I have gone through the cruise control button calibration and everything works there, the numbers were out by nothing or 0.01V. I can probably ask some tuners that I know for help, figured I'd ask here anyway cus I just like typing sh*t sometimes. I have messaged haltech support, I'll ring them when I actually need it to work lol. Cheers
  5. There's most of a bottom end. Still gotta clean up the sump surface and torque the mains but the hard part is done.
  6. He just said come back in 3 months for another blood test
  7. Engine out and measured the bores. Bear in mind this block is std with 380xxxkm on it... It has between 0.5 and 1 thou out of round and taper in it. Taper is nearly non existent but obviously out of round is where it gets most of the wear. I could get it professionally honed to make it round and it would still make size. But I ain't gonna, it's well within service limits so I'm just gonna send it.
  8. He doesn't know how to fix it so it's doctor google for me.
  9. My good cholesterol is super low, any tips for not dying?
  10. Haha yerp I think I might give the gym a miss today and get my car done instead. Then I might restructure my program to only do 3 days per week. Dunno why I had it doing 4, that was a stupid idea, 3 is enough for full body.
  11. Heh I knew that move was coming lol. Gotta make you earn your wage somehow right?!
  12. I'm not strength training right now, I need to get everything moving again for a while. I'm old now mate, it takes a while before you can lean on the joints and tendons lol. Here's something to think about... This literally adds fatigue for no extra muscle growth. Fatigue is bad. Take enough time between sets so you can use the muscle again effectively. How effective would a leg day be if you pre-exhausted your legs by running 25km? I get it, if that's what you want to do, then more power to you. If growing muscle is your thing, then running sets back to back with little rest is not the best approach. I've seen that trend in you for a number of years now and it's worth pointing out, as you can make better gains for less pain and fatigue. Anyhow I'm off to the doctors to see what my blood looks like
  13. I'm the one doing my programming and have done for years, so I know what I would or wouldn't be doing. I don't have issues with systemic fatigue right now, the issues are with localized recovery, hence the work being identical to what a bro split would be.
  14. There is no difference between a full body workout with legs, and legs by themselves, as far as the leg work is concerned.
  15. So I can kick carnts in the balls harder, why else? I already said I was doing full body 4 days per week, so that means I've done 7 leg workouts since Monday last week.
  16. Yep I will be interested to see what it looks like the next time it gets pulled down for work.
  17. Did legs yesterday and another workout coming today, should do the trick. I have done 7 leg workouts since Monday last week.
  18. Yay Friday My legs are finally not absolutely killing me now, so that's an early xmas present.
  19. It's a very commonly used thing in drag racing to get more time out of pistons and afford some protection to the piston during the season. It's easy enough to apply, you just spray it on and once you've used a spray gun a few times, you get the hang of making it come out evenly. There is an instrument to measure the thickness of it, I didn't get one cos they are $1200 or something like that. With the gun/compressor settings I use, a very light coat does nearly nothing, a single heavy coat does about 5 thou and a couple of heavy coats is around 10 thou. I have micrometers, so that is what I use to measure the piston after it's dry. Because they are self clearancing it's not vital to have them exactly the same, but they are very close to each other anyway once they're done.
  20. The coating is designed to take up clearance. They recommend 2 to 5 thou which is a fair bit when talking piston to bore clearance. If you did a very light coat it would be nearly nothing though.
  21. Ok well that was a slight fail. Turns out the instructions for the coating stuff say DON'T use glass bead, use garnet. I thought it said DO use glass bead... So I blasted the fresh coating off with garnet, blasted the crowns to rough them up more, cleaned them up and coated them. I had literally just enough skirt coating to do the job, literally ran out on the last spray pass, but it was enough. I have plenty of crown coating, probably another 50 pistons worth. Also when swapping the media over, I dropped 3/4 of the bag of glass bead on the ground cos I missed the bag, lucky I decided to blow out under the machine before I did it. I scooped it up, swearing my arse off and all was well. Here's a pic of them completely finished, I measured them and they are spot on, so I'm very happy with that. Have a close look, you can see where the valves hit last time.
