  1. Yay Tuesday, did fixing on a rodeo today. Will do more fixing again soon and hopefully double the power output.
  2. A razor blade is good enough to clean the block, you use a wire wheel on the sump.
  3. Ink for the dyno printer arrived today, the printer is leaving blank lines across the page. I run a print alignment process a couple times, no better. I run various cleaning processes and no better. Finally 2.5 hours later, I manage to get a couple of drivers installed and can now send prints over the network to my printer in the house. Farken yay and fark me
  4. Fingers crossed for early next year, things are cooking
  5. That's not the kind of thing that is a bolt on affair by itself. It wouldn't fit unless the manifold supplier made it to suit a specific turbo etc. I've bought a couple of barra high mount manifolds from 6boost and while they were advertised to suit the same style turbo, there was half an inch difference in clearance between the rocker cover. You can get a dump made to fit your exhaust fairly cheaply and that's what everyone does.
  6. If I'm having a party it ain't gonna be a home brew party...a dyno comp with bbq would be better
  7. Haha never, those beers are all mine
  8. Was gonna run up a Pajero today but the guy changed his mind. All good, nothing wrong with having Sunday off anyway
  9. Well I'm making it faster than I'm drinking it and that's what matters lol
  10. I currently have 106 home brew long necks bottled and another brew on to be ready in 4 days. Woot
  11. I made a bunch of onion rings for a snack. They taste good but the last few have gotten cold and now it feels like I'm eating onion on toast
  12. The Caprice showed up and we ran it up a few times. Made a best of 239rwkw, looking arguably a million times better than the equivalent Ford
  13. If ya didn't know now ya do...Ran the wife's 2012 Lancer today, managed a respectable 85kw to the front wheels. It goes very rich up top, I reckon just a fuel change would get it to 90kw.
  14. They are an unavoidable part of life after 40. Each day I don't sh*t myself I count as a win
  15. I'm nearly 50 and did a skid in my driveway today
  16. On 98 you can get nearly all the gains with road tuning a barra. You can also get all the gains if you know how much timing to run on E85. Knowing how to do those things is the trick and using a dyno will certainly give you an edge for future road tuning. I'll get the mower out later and see what it makes lol
  17. Oh well looks like I'll be running up this LS3 olden tomorrow instead. Maybe I'll chuck the wife's lancer on for sh*ts and giggles.
  18. I've been tuning my VN while I'm waiting for old mate. I did a bunch of steady state tuning and made a lot of low end gains. One spot went from 28kw up to 40kw, that's huge! Also made a bit more power up top. That's pretty good for an old school 5 litre!
  19. Haha I've been for a passenger ride in this one, it goes alright. It definitely needs some boost added to it, maybe I can talk the owner into it
  20. Got an LS3 powered caprice coming in for a power run today, should make some decent numbers
  21. I use a drill and a wire wheel, gets it done in around 5 to 10 minutes.
  22. Yep I'm slowly working it out. It's different than the Dyno Dynamics AWD I was using at work, but it won't take me long to have it sorted
  23. It's not slow but it ain't turbo barra fast
