  1. Push the connector tab upwards. Give it a tap with something if you need to get it moving, but usually you can just thumb it up there. It gets tight at the top too, so do it in one hit.
  2. Was gonna drop the trans this afternoon after soccer. Got a case of CBF and did housework instead. I need a break from it anyway. Not a territory but a 4x4 so similar, I retimed my Landrover this afternoon. I wanted more timing but the dizzy was all the way cranked. I moved each plug lead around the dizzy one position and then moved the dizzy back a whole bunch. I gained 45 degrees of potential timing from the plug movement, 360/8 cos it's a V8 etc. It might have had 8 degrees of timing before and now it's around 18 base. It goes heaps better and sounds angry lol. I will get it on the dyno and dial it in properly soon. I'm guessing it'll make 85awkw but we'll see.
  3. You forget whom you address sir
  4. Answers are: 1. Don't undo those ones, undo the other ones. Leave the rubber donut attached to the tailshaft. 2. Through the starter motor hole. 3. Undo that bolt for the black bracket on the trans. From there you can lever the lines out from the trans. Move them to the side, no need to undo the heat exchanger side to remove the trans. Those quick connects are easy to undo though, spray them with WD-40 and move them back and forth a few times, then you can undo them by hand. There's probably a tool for it, I know you can get quick connect tools for fuel lines etc. Google is your friend
  5. There's two questions there mate, learn to count
  6. Yeah nah yeah nah yeah nah yeah nah yeah? Or nah?
  7. Indubitably. Here's a pic from Tuesday
  8. Roll racing ticket acquired, plans to put the car on E85, dyno to get the tune dialled, fingers crossed it all works out. I'll be as sensible as I can be with the power level, I'm thinking around 900whp should be nice and safe
  9. Probably should on the upcoming school holidays
  10. I'm gonna pull it back out tomorrow and put the other one back in tomorrow afternoon. Then I'll finish it off on Sunday and be ready for roll racing in a few weeks.
  11. Haha nah I did click your thing, having lots of balls in the pocket is a good thing. I've never been bowling so I guess that makes me a bowling eunuch?
  12. I ain't clicking that, I'll stick to thinking you had lots of balls in your pocket
  13. I'll pay a half eaten sausage in bread from last weeks bbq, a packet of winny reds and carton of XXXX
  14. Well the na trans is in, I went for a drive to get some drinks for later. The fuel is no different so it's safe to assume the built trans and converter are fine. Trans oil comes out looking a bit sh*t sometimes so I ain't worried about it. Also a na trans does not like 470awkw. Anyone wanna come and put my built trans back in for me?
  15. Yay Friday Coffee and vitamins aquired, nearly time for wrenching
  16. Old trans out and new trans in. Just gotta button some stuff up and then I can drive it. We'll know tomorrow whether the fuel issue is trans/converter related. Also I ain't gonna chuck all the power through this trans, I'll run it on gate pressure, whatever that may be.
  17. Dunno if I mentioned it a few months ago but when I bought my na territory, I did a trans service on it and a pan bolt snapped as I was undoing it. Anyhow, yesterday I drilled it out and helicoiled the trans case, put a new filter in the trans and sealed the pan up...not with sealant you animal, with a dry gasket. I was gonna swap the trans yesterday but hit a wall after a few hours, I think I'm catching whatever the kids have got cos I ain't got no energy lol
  18. Did a wheel bearing on the Landrover today, carnt was a bit stuffed. Now I'm gonna pull the built trans and high stall out of my territory and install a stock trans and converter. I wonder how long a stock na trans can hold 470awkw?!
  19. Haha yeah nah, it ain't big enough for all that. It would be good to get a much bigger boat that needs some work and chuck a barra in that.
  20. Went fishing, caught a shark and a crab, then let them go. Sea was nice and flat in places, got the boat up to 28kts, which is 52kph or so.
  21. Yep, every day that I don't work on the territory, I can go fishing. Plus petrol and bait is cheaper than car parts lol
