  1. Fitted extractors and cats today, was too hot but oh well. Will chuck it on the dyno when the weather cools down a bit. Car feels better and sounds heaps better so there will be some sorta increase
  2. So I've been keeping an eye out for parts deals and I've collected a few parts, all for about 35% of new price. Yeah I know this is a XR6 turbo forum but considering I'm learning LS stuff, I'm gonna post about it. I got a set of extractors and high flow cats, a hectic cam that's had less than 10 hours work, a set of new in the box valve springs and have been offered a LSD with 3.7 diff gears. I will get it on the dyno shortly, probably next week, I'm hoping for around 350rwkw but will see how it goes. After I do my car I'll be upgrading a mates car, so will report back on how it all goes. Looking forward to learning new things and helping others get fully fledged custom tunes, whether Barra or LS based. Still happy to do free tunes for a select few forum members
  3. Yeah man, that's a giant pita. We had to fork out for a new roof cos the water was coming through and damaged the ceiling a bit.
  4. Use Google translate, enter 12 months and translate it from English to Estonian. Then play it so you can hear it
  5. The joys of home ownership ay?! You get to climb on the roof, in the roof, clean the gutters, paint the walls etc etc. Wait until you get solar, you will be up there cleaning the panels and calculating the cost of water vs the amount of electricity gained from the clean
  6. I will try to capture something
  7. In other news... I got a Venus Fly Trap plant, it loves the flies lol
  8. Yay a day Took the Caprice to roll racing and got chopped by everyone lol...well except one car. Was going 160kph over the finish, compared to the 200kph the territory was doing with 500awkw. Ordered a sick cam and bought some extractors and cats, so I'll end up a bit over 300rwkw. That should be a bit quicker Also get 8.5L/100km at 110kph on the hwy, farken sick
  9. 6 or 10 metres, who's counting right
  10. Made a slightly inebriated decision yesterday to buy another na engine for the territory. Can just do valve springs and run 15psi for a while. At least it'll keep it mobile and possibly motivate me to build it again.
  11. Looked at the dyno today, was gonna use it but the weather has been so hot lately, I didn't want to stress the car out. Might get jiggy wid it tomorrow 😎
  12. Flamin kids ay, who'd have em?! In other news... Today I bought a single rim to replace my broken one. I fitted and balanced it then put it in the boot, in the spare tire compartment. Whomever the fark decided having a 7 piece spare wheel holder in the Caprice was a good idea, needs a good solid kick in the balls
  13. Obligatory yay whatever day it is
  14. Dunno. Don't overthink it. Get these, they are already gapped to suit boost. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/167175944733?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=khTEO-w9TDu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=7MxRuQwIT_G&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  15. There are two cam sensors, each located at the back of the head on either side of the engine.
  16. Your cams are moving and there's no cam error, that means the phasers aren't stuck and it's doing what is being asked of it. Go for a drive and get a log, you might see it play up then.
  17. Low oil pressure can cause cam error at idle, but with rpm it will usually come good. You'd have to measure it. I don't see why you couldn't leave the filters out.
  18. I suppose they could be, you'd have to pull the front 2 cam caps and check. Don't pull them off unless you have a small torque wrench to do them back up, there is a very small window between done up enough and done up too much and the bolt is stretched.
  19. If they are reading -10 at idle, something is farked. Check the solenoids are plugged in for starters, after that you will need to see a mechanic.
  20. You go to read PID data which is the oscilloscope symbol on the left. At the top you select dashboard, then you have to manually add it by clicking set up all gauges down the bottom, it's the settings looking button, then you have to connect to there live data by clicking the play button... Or maybe the other way around, I can't remember. I'm not connected to a vehicle now but that is the gist of it. Yes it has to be running, the cam has dicks that go past the cam sensor. The pcm doesn't know the engine position until it's cranking, and won't know the cam error until it's running.
  21. Honestly an aftermarket boost controller with a na pcm will do the job, providing the turbo is big enough.
