I work on heaps of D40s that see regular mine use. They have really weak rear suspension mounts for the shockies on the diff housing. We are constantly welding them up with beefier bracing. They are gutless and have heaps of transfer case problems and the rear wheel speed sensors are in a vulnerable position if going off road. The new Rangers are even worse, with some utes having up to five engines put in them. We tow at least one ranger a week back to the dealership if not two at a time.
