  1. any weekend any time but prefer night time , liverpool orange grove meet let me know!
  2. Thanks. and f***
  3. I called up two or three ford dealerships but I cant get a straight answer. I have an 09 fg with premium sound with the ipod connectivity in the middle compartment. I have an iphone 5s. What I'd like to know are a few things. 1. Are cables for the ipod only available from ford? if not, where can I buy these and what are they called exacly? 2. Are these cables a universal usb connection at the other end or are they a fixed ipod/iphone connection? if so, is lightning available?
  4. yeah good point. Is the headlight bulb easy to replace in the fg like in most cars?/
  5. I guys. I have an 09 turbo and just had a headlight failiure message on the dash come up. The left headlight seems to very lightly flicker then die when I turn my headlights on. The fact it flickers means it cant possibly be the headlight itself, right? Could it be the earth wire? Does anyone know where to locate this??
  6. that's a good suggestion. Rims look banging. Do you have a rough estimate on the price for 19's ? Found some pics of a black g6e with the vertinis. im not sure. Looks good but I want "woah" http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww321/steveurban/G6ET/0014_zpsd989050b.jpg
  7. It seems like you have mind reading abilities as these were the exact rims I was looking at yesterday. I did a bit of reading on beamer lexus and porche forums and most people say theyre decent. Had a couple people on the porche forums say theyre quite heavy ( admittedly I havent checked the weight of these yet which I should ) , and some guy in the audi forums saying to "avoid any rim maker with a guido name like the plague" - LOL, but most people had positive things to say about them. Also read up about how theyre made and theyre a decent quality rim, not gravity cast but rather low pressure cast so that's good to hear. Only thing im really worried about is that they might be a bit "too yellow" im also looking at these at the moment http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/files/files_variation/0.23526400%201385535899_636.jpg Work emotion D9R in the bronze. Any opinions? I really like the colour. With a nice offset it could look banging.
  8. Cheers Matty. Would you have any recommendations for just a fitting service around south west sydney or near my work in rosebery? as I will supply the parts I dont really need someone pricy like tunehouse as you said, however I dont want a shonky el cheapo job either.
  9. Yeah definitely. I think I will be doing a lot of research on the wheels before I pull the trigger. I dont mind spending 2.5-3 k on rims if its going to make the car look like a million dollars. Deep dish gold 19 inch on black hmmppphh!!
  10. I've decided on what I will be modding under this months budget!! ( post xmas ..eww ) Front and rear swaybars Blistein shocks DBA slotted rotors and ferodo pads just waiting on tunehouse to get back to me on supply of swaybars and installation of other bits. Should keep me happy untill next month. Hoping to do a tune and exhaust next and finish it off with a nice set of shoes. Been looking around for wheels but am unsure at this point in time as so many options. Was thinking of a set of work emotions or similar in gold ..just dont know if it will go well with the current look of my car. Id like a really nice set of 19 inch deep dish non chrome or in gold to really set the car off but I need to do a bit of research on rims as I dont want a sh*tty set from ozzy tyres that weight half a tonne. However I think I will go down the black and gold look. Also need to order a black numberplate with gold writing.
  11. Does it clunk with someone in the seat putting pressure down?
  12. what are the mod plans and what have you got done to it so far?? im thinkin of mods soon but not sure where to start. im thinking brakes and suspension first
  13. Looks nice mate I like that colour. Stock height?
  14. they are too.. I was looking all over google images for which exact rims they were. the dealer receipt said something along the lines of 19 inch luxury or something like that. cheers!
  15. theyre not fpv rims, rather 19 inch luxury option rims from the dealer.
  16. thanks guys. the previous owner took the ford badge off the rims since he put fpv badges on the car. where can I get ford badges to rebadge the car? is this difficult?
  17. Hi Guys. Just bought an 09 turbo just under a month ago from the original owner with full logs books, older seller which was good. currently 48,000km on the clock and rising Lovely car. Lot roomier than my 99 prelude especially considering im 6 foot 7 115kg No engine or intake mods so far. Will do dba rotors and ferodo pads soon and a suspension upgrade. Am thinking of getting rid of the FPV badges. Looks great but I've never been a fan of anything fake. Car is lowered 1.5 inches, full tints, daytime driving lights, 19 inch dealer luxury rims with premium sound tech pack and an xr8 bonnet. heres a few snaps http://imageshack.com/a/img905/1610/DtUvQt.jpghttp://imageshack.com/a/img661/3960/ozGOng.jpghttp://imageshack.com/a/img538/5926/pthXZW.jpghttp://imageshack.com/a/img537/4058/5Ry7mq.jpg Located in Moorebank, south west sydney. Will definitely be coming to the next meet / cruise to meet some of the members and get some modding advice.
  18. if anyone ever wants to meet at liverpool orange grove maccas, etc I live in moorebank so very close by. I slso dont work weekends so can go anytime on the weekend and friday night. Would be nice to meet some people on the forums.
  19. Hi MattyP. Thanks for the welcome!! currently it has the 19inch luxury rims from factory and is lowered with an xr8 bonnet and dark tints so currently its great in the looks departments ( well for me anyway) depending on if I want to spend money on tunes I will be going for a stage 1 tune , turbo back exhaust, upgraded brakes and suspension. If I decide on only a couple of things it will be to upgrade the brakes and suspension first.
  20. Seems I made a mistake with my post. I was meant to say that the squeak happend every time I pushed down on the passenger side FLOOR not SEAT - my bad. I drove today with my girlfriend in the car in extremely hot weather and the noise got pretty bad. I definitely dont think its suspension parts. the car is smooth as anything over humps and bumps and the noise is quite random. Its coming from the front end for sure and sounds like something needs lubrication - maybe the strut, ill have to check it out at a local mechanic to put it up and fiddle around the front end. When I drove her home tonight in cool weather the noise was hard to notice. Ive got a feeling its got something to do with the hot weather causing things to expand and making the creak.
  21. Ive got an update on the squeak noise its definitely caused by someone sitting in the passenger seat and at times it got pretty bad tonight with my sister in the car. Definitely no where near as often when im cruising, mostly when breaking, going downhill, stop start driving on flat/uphill road etc. Just when I was about to give up, I parked my car in my driveway (flat), got out of the car and pushed down on the floor of the passenger side to bounce the car and what do you know - the noise happend every time I pushed down on the floor of the passenger seat.
  22. Thanks for that. Ive also noticed that the car wants to pull a bit more to the left than it should. Im not sure where to find factory alignment numbers. Ive uploaded my latest alignment numbers and was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest a reason why the camber is uneven on the front axles? Would this cause a pull to the left? http://imageshack.com/a/img633/7374/71Yl8e.jpg Im thinking that the squeak and the allignment issue are somewhat related. By the way, the car is lowered at pedders by the previous owner, if that helps. 2 Pedders Coil springs and 2 pedders sportsryder coil springs.
  23. Thanks for your input and I agree. I spoke to Joe at CMS who was extremely helpful over the phone. He said the same thing as you - to book a 28$ pedders check as noises, etc such as these can be a nightmare to locate and can cost you an arm and a leg in trying to fix it without having a proper look at the car. I've booked in my local pedders down the road where I live at moorebank to look at it. Has anyone dealt with pedders moorebank on newbridge road? Oh and one more thing. I dont have a f****** clue how I cant find the key to my lock nut. My mechanic that did the bushes SPECIFICALLY told me to take a photo of the serial number on it. Of course I didnt and of course I cant find the nut. I remember trying to put it in the service manual zip up book and that not being able to fit. What I did after that is a complete mystery. ffs!!!!!!
  24. Thanks mate, will look into this Called CMS and they are happy to take a look at it!
  25. Thanks for that guys. I certainly be more involved in these forums - seems like a great community to be a part of, helping each other out etc. I failed to mention that I did replace the upper control arm bushes with nolathane ones as suggested by one mechanic and I did have a feeling it was them, however it seems to not be the case. Ill cut my losses at 350$ and stop replacing sh*t now for no reason before it gets out of hand. With noise issues like these, if I were to take it to a mechanic, ask for a diagnostic and they say its this and that for x amount of dollars and I go ahead with the work, am I expected to just walk away if the issue isnt resolved? It seems a bit silly to just keep throwing money at mechanics recommendations without any real garuante that the work done is actually fixing the issue...
