New yeah? Don't pay them a cent. Ask the dealer to buy the unit directly from the manufacturer and ask Ford later for reimbursement as Ford take ages to get one out to the dealer (80+ days now!!) that's what my dealer did yesterday and got a call this morning it should be ready to fit early next week. Ford HO take way to long to react, this should be a voluntary recall and check if you ask me, too many people affected. Let me know if needing more info to help your case mate, Good luck

The fuel issues sounds like what I had, end up being a faulty fuel signal sender and Ford replaced that and the fuel pump for free. Be careful, I ran out of fuel going down the freeway at 110km and the car shut down very scary, no brakes!! When NRMA towed my car the Roadside assistant said he knows of lots of FG Utes doing the same thing. Gauge says 1/4 filled but tank dry. We put in some fuel and it kicked over. When I took it to my dealer they seemed to know exactly what the issue was, like they see it a lot. Get it checked bud.

How old mate? Mine was 2011 and out of warranty. It's a known issue with Ford I didn't pay a cent.

Get it looked at sooner then later, I just made the demanding call for compo as mine is still not in yet. Local ford dealer are now paying for it them selves instead of ford Aus so they saying this Monday I should have it installed, I waited 80+ days not happy. When I was talking to the service guy he slipped and said they have 5 on order for the penrith region alone and I know of 2 waiting before me this year alone, that's 8 this year from one dealer alone. Seems like it's very common issue

New Car warranty under Ford includes road side assist so Ford will have to pay for it to be shipped back to where ever it needs to be shipped to have it assessed. Your first contact is with the original dealer and stating the above fixes (car or money). This should take reasonable time to assess and provide ( 7 days ) if not happy with response call Ford Customer Service HO ( 13 FORD) and restate your case ( your rego is your case number) if not happy with the response state that the next course of action is fair trading and they should react if not make a claim and follow through. Log everything in print/email, make note of names/dates/times and be professional in your approach. Your main argument is that you would not have brought the car if you knew of the faults/issues and when you first seen a minor issue you were told it wasn't an issue only for it to then turn into a major issue that could of resulted in your personal injury/death. Hope this helped.

Major fail = new car or full refund! That's exactly what I would ask for, no more or less. Don't have it repaired, you will regret it later when something else fails/plays up.

Sweet good to know. Will do.

Mum thought it made her looked like a hoon! All my mates thought it looked sick and they did there mums car with liquid paper!! Lol. The first set of tires I put on my Corty back then was the good ol Bridgestone Eagers just so I had the raised white letters, cost me $1100 back then and when your 16 and work part time that was a lot of saving...

Bugga, sorry bout that. Some forums don't like it when I offer deals or help to others so wasn't going to say but after reading the thread and others I thought f*ck it, can't hurt. yeah always willing to help when I can. Where u situated?

I used to do that 20 years ago to my mum's Camry!! Arh the memories...

Looks sweet mate, matches the dark high lights around the bottom front bar. Good job. Is that raised white tyre lettering from custom treadz on the sides or just white paint?

I have Friday's off, might take you up on that offer!!

Yo, then you'll know the road in talking about? Turbo loves the climb up and the brakes hate you on the way down!! I live at the top so great way to go to work. Don't get out Richmond way much as I work in Penrith but we might pass each other on the Northern Rd.
-
No probs mate, glad to help. Ooh 08, even I would find it hard to get that through..... BUT is there documentation of the "in warranty" conversations you had with Ford service departments? Check previous service documents they should have written it down if you brought it up back then. If so it might just work, even if they come half way to the party it's still a win. If not check eBay under seller MRFPV he has them at good prices and I've had good dealings with him. Good luck.

I'm at Hawksbury Heights, Nitro FG T ute. Badges moved to the front guards under blinkers and red brakes. Gives us a flash/wave if you see me, or the missus!! Would suggest anyone out this way to have a run up and down the "bends" at hawksbury heights. Great stretch of road!!

Mate read the thread below this one about the same problem. It's the ICC, common problem. Read my posts on the issue and how I got mine replaced under warranty. What year? Mine was 4 years old and Ford are covering it all plus new speakers all round!! Only down side is I have to wait 5 weeks for the unit to come in, so very annoying with the constant noise it makes. Let me know if you need help with it.
-
Well I only run Shell 98 and no e85 near me, not that I'd run it anyway. Done CAI already and only want to hit the 310-320ish mark anyway. Fuel numbers have never really worried me anyway its the journey not the $$ I worry about

11.7 with a 42km round trip to work and home 7days a week. Mostly 88km/h on cruise control. 3 minute run on the freeway at 115km/h. I'm not easy on the throttle too, always have to be first in the que!! So I'm happy with that. Just ticked over the 50k too

Read on here somewhere that the trans "learns" how you drive and there is a way to reset that memory. Think it was disconnect the battery? Or it could be the dreaded "milkshake" issue slowly coming through also documented on here. Either way a trans service should make it feel better.... Hopefully:) as for the turning noise I believe it's normal, mine does it when parking in tight spots, think it's the camber of the tire at full lock rubbing. Have a look under there and have a look to see what might be rubbing or warn. Might be a ball joint/tierod in the steering system need attention.

Well can anyone answer correctly?!? Was wondering the same thing, want the same front bar but change the bottom black plastic out for something different or remove all together. Is it the same mounting points and do the foggies use the same plugs?
-
Sweet see you on the battlefield:) But bummer bout your back though

I will mate, I'm sure I've played against you. Know what you mean about maps played, as I only play HC it's mostly AUS locker available with decent numbers for me but been playing on the Reaperz server alot and they have been mixing it up which is good. Got banned last night for "hacking" cause I was headshotting everyone with my .44 with a 3x scope! lol love that gun, best "sniper gun"in the game
