  1. ok I did some logging on the weekendand it definately gives me more boost it spikes to about 9 and levels off to 7 and as for the ivct I couldn't really tell the cams had different advance but I compared it to the standard software and the cams were different as well. the only reason I put this software on was because it didn't cost me anything, I would still like to get rid of the oil light. cobrav8 said most likely that Ford put the oil light on - as a warning light to reflect the 'wrong' flash based on the vehicles vin #. the only thing is when you manually flash the computer you loose the vin number stored in the computer so it doesn't have one anymore, maybe that could be usefull for the capa software to program more than one car at a time.
  2. I'm not exactly sure what it does yet hopefully I'll get to log some data this weekend I'm guessing it ups the boost and maybe gives independent variable cam timing, but it gives the car alot more go.
  3. I've just checked out the part numbers for the sender and they are the same and also checked out the wiring wich is also the same and checked the fpv guages and they have a seperate wiring harness and don't interface with the pcm at all, which leaves me to beleive the only other thing that is different is the instrument cluster, obviously it is different as it has the 8000 rpm tacho to start with, so does anyone else know if this may be the reason
  4. I have a xr6t and a mate of mine works at a ford dealership in town we tried something on the weekend we reflashed the computer with the software from a typhoon and it made a big difference the only thing is now the oil pressure light stay's on. I have searched the forums and have found posts that talk about the oil pressure light problem but no solutions, does anyone know how to resolve this is it because the typhoon has an oil pressure guage not just the light and the sensors are different or do they have 2 different sensors. thanks for any help Ross
