  1. There were no weights on the nuts to begin with. They did mark it all they showed me this morning. The centre bush was that bad, when the car was on the hoist you could hold the tail shaft in your hand and move it around. I will see how the balance goes before I go making anymore assumptions. But at this stage seems legit to me. Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
  2. Took it back to the shop... apparently the tail shaft just needs balancing. There no weights on it at the moment and the old bushes were pretty flogged out so now its back to square it needs a balance. Ford are doing it for 100. Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
  3. Yep... the new one with the hard outer Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
  4. Just had an eaton trutrac installed and had the rear bushes changed to superpro heavy duty. Drive home and there is an annoying wine sitting on 115km/h under light acceleration and at certain revs while half accelerating there is a vibration that is not overly loud, but wasnt there before. Anyone who had this done have similar issues after installing an eaton truetrac? Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
  5. Upgrades complete. Pretty happy with the result. Good guess on the power Stinky Ninja !!! 300.3kw at the wheels
  6. Finally got some cash together for some surgery to the G6ET. Mods to follow: Eaton TrueTrac 9" LSD 60Lbs Injectors High flow CAT and Dump Pipe Stage 2 Intercooler and Piping SCT Flash Tuner K&N Panel Filter Leaving stock exhaust and airbox as to make it look and sound as stock as possible. Getting it tuned down at Autotech. Will post the results in the next couple of weeks.
  7. Not sure what to expect from a stage 1 upgrade, but I want to at least upgrade the intercooler and k&n panel filter before a dyno tune. Don't really want to spend more than 2500 not including the intercooler and k&n. Hoping for around 300rwkw. Not sure if that's unreasonable or not but dont want to take it any further than that. I will look up that place in newie, thanks.
  8. Thanks willo88. I was on the forums back in 2004 when I had a ba xr6t. Went on a couple of cruises but sold the car, and stopped the forums. I'm keen to cruise with some locals now I'm back in a turbo I don't want to go overboard with mods, just want to get that little bit better than standard with little as possible complications. I'm considering tunehouse at the moment, spoken to BMA but not convinced by the guy I spoke to who may be an apprentice, but I have read good reviews. How did you find auto tech willo88 ?
  9. Nice... I was looking at old photos the other day!I was at the snowy cruise in the 3rd last white xr6T on the damn wall shot. Remember a tick ford au going off the road in the twisties .... Great cruise I will post some of my pics when I get on the computer next
  10. Hi, I have a 2008 g6e turbo that I purchased off the old man. He had it since new and has 60k on the clock. He is an old fart and never flogged it. Only when I went for a spin. His game was always how good he could get the fuel economy. Now its mine I wouldn't mind doing a stage 1 upgrade but am getting quoted varied prices and still finding it hard to decide where to go. Look forward to cruising with some locals in the hunter valley and great forum
  11. I'm always sitting between 9.5 and 10 L/100km, Mixed highway and town driving. Average speed is 70km/h, so probably a more highway than town. A trip up the highway and a reset trip computer will easily get 7.5 to 8 L/100km on pure highway driving with cruise set on 115km/h.
  12. Surprised with the results so far. I'm 33.
