Just got this email in my inbox. Don't know if it has been posted before, but I would have remembered seeing it.

It started here in Canberra yesterday morning. Worse thing for my car was that it got rained on a bit before I put it in the garage. Then overnight, those water drops dried and turned orange. Now my car looks like a leopard with little orange spots everywhere.

It is actually Sensation. I think it depends on what screen you are looking at it on. On my laptop screen that I did the photo it actually looks blue (sensation) but then on mywork screen it looks phantom (purple). Maybe my laptop screen is crap since it seems to everyone else that it is purple.

Finally got outdoors on the weekend and took a few pics. Still playing with it, but I think this one turned out alright.

Pugs are funny and cute to look at, but they are such crap dogs to keep. We look after my inlaws one every now and then. It snores, chockes, sheds, smells, snorts.. It's so demanding. They can't breathe cause of their lack of snout/nose.. terrible terrible dogs.. and we only look after it on a weekend every couple of months. Don't know how anyone can put up with them all the time..

In Los Angeles, you have to go to Universal Studios. Entry is $60 each, but we paid an extra $30 for Front of Line Pass. Its a bit more, but way worth it. It's basically what it is called, you don't wait in any lines.. there is a whole different line for you. All the rides, and everything you get to see there, you just go straight to the front before everyone else. You also get to stay behind and see behind the scenes and meet cast members of most of the shows. New York, we stayed at a hotel called the Pensylvania. It is on 34th and 7th. Hotel is alright, rooms kinda smallish, but have own bathrooms and we got a kingsize bed. The main thing about the hotel is location. Empire state building is on 34th and 5th, so 2 blocks down.. (4 min walk) and Times square is around 42nd street.. so 8 blocks up.. (10-15 min walk). Maddison Square Garden, is literally across the road and Penn Station (one of the central subway/train stations) is right underneath the hotel, so you literally walk out onto to the street and down underneath the hotel to get to the subway. I concur on the "Top of the Rock Observation" (rockefeller centre), awesome views..

I too thought that Obama would probably get assisanated. But then I thought, any US president is going to have death threats on him. I mean how many people hate bush around the world.. way way more than a few rednecks that dont like black people. I mean seriously... if anything the secret service is relieved.. now they only have to worry about a few hillbilly rednecks, rather than worry about a third of the world trying to kill their president.

They even have done the blue XR dash lights.

I bought an ex chaser. It was 3 years ago though. I thought mine was well worth the price. Paint was in decent nick and the interior as well. I had it all checked out by a mechanic friend and he told me that if I didn't buy it he would. I know you cant really check cars at auction but I thought it was worth it. The car also come with "premium" brakes and reverse sensors that at the time were all the rage and they were a bonus to me, because I didn't know there were "options" until after I had the car.

I have had my tune done by ESP, and know a couple of guys that leave their cars there. The guys there really know what they are doing and are always friendly and up for a chat.

Why would you keep driving the car? If things got so bad you ended up doing that, then wouldn't just make you more angry every time you got in the car. If you are seriously not happy with it.. sell it. :

Six of one half a dozen of the other... I use Vortex 98 cause I have been burned with drity fuel by BP and Shell. Not with my car now but with my old EL XR6. Drove around for a week with the car spluttering all over the place. Filled up with Vortex after finishing the dirty fuel and everything was fine on both occassions.

I Don't know, maybe they had some special wiring or something was different. Why would they specifically say F6?
-
Can they only do F6's?

I always used to get into my mates car when they weren't locked and turn the radio up full blast, turn the air con on full blast , wipers on full speed, indicator on, fog lights on, window demister.. basically anything that can be turned on, turn it on. Then when they turn the key to their car everything comes on at the same time. I find it pretty funny.

Where did they get nicked from? ACT? or NSW?

Fg Fpv Power Figures Officially Released
chipa_12 replied to Ford_Power's topic in FPV PERFORMANCE INC.
The problem with these cars being too powerful dont show up until 5-10 years from now. When they are cheap enough for P-Platers and inexperienced drivers to get. Then you will see the real impact off the cars being too powerful. Almost every week I hear about a P-Plater with a WRX that has gotten himself in trouble. -
Does anyone else think that from side on they look like a mixture of the VE and the Aurion put together? eg, Door Handles and blinkers on mirrors.

A couple of years ago there was some big blitz targetting people breaking into homes. On the way home one rainy saturday night, I got pulled over 4 times by 4 different coppers. None of them did nothing, just checked my car over and checked my licence and that was it. By the last one, I was cracking up laughing cause I thought it was quite funny, that I had gotten pulled over 4 times in the one night. He asked me what I found so funny, I told him about the previous 3 times I had been pulled over.. He then proceeded to tell me about the blitz they were doing and then said, "we pulled over cause you were driving at 60 k/h on this street". I said.. "that's the speed limit isnt ?" HE then said, "oh yeah, but no one ever does it on this street so we felt you were suspicious". Right, so I got pulled over cause I was doing the speed limit and driving normally and that was 'suspicious'.. .

I think for 30 grand you could probably find something better than ex-cop car.. Having said that , nothing wrong with an ex cop car depending on what you pay for it. I bought an ex BA cop car, had 40K kays on it. Nothing wrong with it, other than a bit of wear and tear in interior. It also had premium brakes which was a bonus I wasnt aware of when I bought it. However I only paid 27 grand for it 2 years ago. So I reckon for 30 you should be able to get a much nicer car, with premium sound and probably leather seats, which is something you wont find in an ex-cop car...

Personally I think if you really want a true indication of a performance car, then you should have several tests for them. 0-100, 10-100, 60-80, 80-120, 1/4 mile, go to whoa, track times. Not necessarily all of them , but at least a few. Then people could decide what kind of car they want and buy appropiately. Eg if you care more about handling then you would look for something with a faster track time or if you wanted straight line speed, then you would look for something with a faster 0-100.. The problem is , like someone said, magazine write ups are usually biased in some way, and it would probably take too much time to run the cars through a few tests.

I wasnt trying to take the piss of the car ms700.. I really liked the GTS it was really really nice... the point I was trying to make was that I felt better about my car cause I got home and it was fine. I guess I didnt make it that clear in my earlier post. although the VK was just crap and funny to watch..
