  2. Ive noticed an increase in rear tyre wear Ive only had 300+rwkw for a week now, but no problems yet. MaccA
  3. with some decent tyres and a good launch you could be looking at mid 12s. Ive got 254rwkw and my tyres are at about 30% tread left, running street pressure, I managed a 13.5 @ 108mph. The launch is tricky. Its different than on the street. I struggled a bit and the best 60ft times I was getting was 2.3 secs. Its all just a bit of fun though. With new tyres and more practice I want to pull a 12. MaccA
  4. Ah sorry, yeah its a sedan. So all you think it would be is the shocks? Would better bushes help too? It gets pretty violent sometimes. MaccA
  5. Hey all, pretty much since I got my car its had a bit of an issue. when it breaks traction it gets a massive axle hop and ive noticed its been getting worse and worse. its fine to drive normally, but wheres the fun in that in the wet ive tried a few 'experiments' like add more wheel spin. this just adds more axle hop. What to do...? Do they all have this problem with stock suspension to some extent? Or is mine Ive done the bounce on the back of the car test, the shocks appear to be fine. But are they still up to the job? Thanks, MaccA
  6. Bittofah late reply but if you mean the BA FPV Range, then no. They have the grey bits too.
  7. not too sure of thickness as I dont have any to compare with. but the diameter is definately noticable as the rotor only uses half the pads.
  8. was thinking of doing this myself. got a 12 inch sub, going to put a wood spacer in so that the sub has room to move, then box it all in and carpet it. no cutting required (hopefully) MaccA
  9. Yeah when I did the service they said they are too small. And they quoted me 1050 to fix it. I got it serviced where I bought it from. Not real happy.
  10. G'day everyone, got the first ever service ive done the other day on my Phoon since ive owned it (45,000kms) and the mechanics picked up that my rear brake rotors were too small. no one could explain why it was like that. upon closer inspection you can see that only half the rear pads are biting the rotors. its an ex executive driven typhoon, always been serviced by ford. I bought it from ford. and they want me to pay $1050 to fix the problem. to me that doesnt seem right. any thoughts? MaccA
  11. well I I got back last night and have to fly back up in 5 and a half hours. its an interesting place. lots of circles im living in dickson and working in barton. which only takes around 10 mins to get to. I laughed at how the people at work said dont go down northbourne av, as traffic gets heavy at peak hour. I think it adds 3 mins to my travel time. they havent been in melbourne peak hour. except for the first day I was coming home from work. I got a bit lost and ended up on the tuggeranong pkwy, dont ask me how. but I got to see alot of canberra that day. I was getting worried whe the telstra tower was still on my right hand side. havent really had a chance to go out yet. think I gonna go to the ice hockey on saturday night, coz melbournes playing canberra. ive heard its alright. does anyone know if that moose head bar is any good. $1 drinks sounds mighty cheap. if anyone see's a black BA typhoon with personalised Vic plates. that's me. im usually pretty friendly so feel free to have a chat if you see me round. MaccA
  12. YEAH but they told me that's why hailey's comet collided with the moon. actually I hardly ever speak to the union. but I do know a couple of people that have gotten screwed over by the IR laws.
  13. cool as! thanks people. that's exactly what I was lookin for, very informative. will definately check those out cro. when I say I like going out I ment id prefer good places to drink that arent over the top busy. im not really into the zoss/twister/circus bikky munching scene. ive heard so many people say bad things about canberra, ive got a picture in my head of some deserted country town with tumble weeds and where the sheriff bullies everyone. no ones allowed to run a business that involves people having fun. MaccA
  14. call the union. johnny howards fantastic AWA's doing wonders for australian workers again... zaps right but. keep calm, make it sound like youre happy still. then get a lawyer to read the contract and tell them how it is. if your old contract states those terms, that money is rightfully yours. no new agreement should ever question that. But dont sign anything until A: you have the money with no strings B: you seek legal advice
  15. yeah I spose its like anything depends what your into. But im only young so I still like going out and meeting new people. I dont exactly know what area im staying in yet either, I find out tomorrow. but if theres any good pubs/bars im all ears. is there any scenic places to go to. when I get bored I just like to go for a drive and explore stuff. wheres the good places to go on those nights? MaccA
  16. Hey everyone, works sending me up to canberra for a few months to work, just wondering if theres anything good to do up there? Ie night life, places to check out, things for car, anything? P.S. I think everyone knows about the porn and fireworks Thanks, MaccA
  17. Name: MaccA Age: 22 Location city/state: Melbourne, vic. Occupation: Electrician Currently drive: F6 typhoon Pimpin': yes
  18. Yeah ive seen that smoker at mcdonalds on the hume hwy when the illegal drags were on. We gave it to him and he sooked up and left. MaccA
  19. this is getting interesting, good feedback peoples. I would have thought that it would have bad turbulance when the pipe narrows back down at the flange, or is this only minor compared to the restriction of the stock cat? the above reason is the only thing I can think of why not to do it. F6BF, did you notice a decent increase compared to stock? And does anyone have a rough price on the xforce dump/cat/intermediate setup? (PM if dont want to advertise in here) Thanks again, MaccA
  20. sweet as, thanks. was just curious. think id probably just go the whole system though. is there much difference in price between this and a full system? Are the stock pipes only 2.25? MaccA
  21. G'day all, Just reading through BCLs nizpro stage 2 install on his F6 thread, and finally saw a picture of the X-Force twin 2.5inch exhaust. (thanks BCL) Judging by the pictures it looks a similar shape to the stock system. So does anyone know if the Xforce Dump/Cat/Transition Pipe, will bolt up to the existing system? Thanks, MaccA
  22. Cool, thanks heaps for that. ive worked out what I want but it would be good to meet up and hear your opinions. probably wont be for a month or so though. but ill keep you posted. thanks again, MaccA
  23. Hey everyone, Im getting confused about alot of stuff. Ive tried searching but I keep getting side tracked. Please excuse me if I sound like im repeating questions that have been asked before. Ive got a typhoon, so I have the colour TFT screen. 1. Where are you people getting these cables from that plug into the ICC? I know companys like ASL have them but I dont wanna buy a kit. I wanna use my own head unit. 2. Are you making them? 3. If I run another screen on the roof. do I need a special kind of DVD player to run both screens? (I wanna use an in-dash one, preferrably with tv tuner in built) 4. Just making things clear. Do I need to get a PAL to NTSC converter to run the factory screen if the roof mounted screen is PAL? or do I look for a NTSC roof screen? or it doesnt matter. hmmm , thanks in advance, MaccA
  24. Well I have a 15 and I dont have to worry abou the the wing rattle as I dont have one lol Did you ever have it the other way, using the line converter from the back speaker and running the amp with out the factory one as that's how mine is now. ← lol, yeah I cant bring myself to deface a F6 and rip the wing off. I like the look without them, but to me it just doesnt seem right on an F6. Nah I only put it in a few weeks ago. But when I get new back speakers that's how im gonna wire it. then run the sub and back speakers off the new amp. MaccA
  25. Ok sweet I might try it on my amp and see if its any better, do you get deeper bass??? ← I cant quite pick it but some songs sound poo. Like the cross over in the factory amp isnt set up for the range a 12 inch gets. But saying that 99% of the time it sounds awesome. Massages my chair But since installing it I found theres something floating around in my spoiler like a little bit of moulding has come loose. Oh well. MaccA
