  5. Ive noticed an increase in rear tyre wear Ive only had 300+rwkw for a week now, but no problems yet. MaccA
  6. with some decent tyres and a good launch you could be looking at mid 12s. Ive got 254rwkw and my tyres are at about 30% tread left, running street pressure, I managed a 13.5 @ 108mph. The launch is tricky. Its different than on the street. I struggled a bit and the best 60ft times I was getting was 2.3 secs. Its all just a bit of fun though. With new tyres and more practice I want to pull a 12. MaccA
  7. Ah sorry, yeah its a sedan. So all you think it would be is the shocks? Would better bushes help too? It gets pretty violent sometimes. MaccA
  8. Hey all, pretty much since I got my car its had a bit of an issue. when it breaks traction it gets a massive axle hop and ive noticed its been getting worse and worse. its fine to drive normally, but wheres the fun in that in the wet ive tried a few 'experiments' like add more wheel spin. this just adds more axle hop. What to do...? Do they all have this problem with stock suspension to some extent? Or is mine Ive done the bounce on the back of the car test, the shocks appear to be fine. But are they still up to the job? Thanks, MaccA
  9. Bittofah late reply but if you mean the BA FPV Range, then no. They have the grey bits too.
  10. not too sure of thickness as I dont have any to compare with. but the diameter is definately noticable as the rotor only uses half the pads.
  11. was thinking of doing this myself. got a 12 inch sub, going to put a wood spacer in so that the sub has room to move, then box it all in and carpet it. no cutting required (hopefully) MaccA
  12. Yeah when I did the service they said they are too small. And they quoted me 1050 to fix it. I got it serviced where I bought it from. Not real happy.
  13. G'day everyone, got the first ever service ive done the other day on my Phoon since ive owned it (45,000kms) and the mechanics picked up that my rear brake rotors were too small. no one could explain why it was like that. upon closer inspection you can see that only half the rear pads are biting the rotors. its an ex executive driven typhoon, always been serviced by ford. I bought it from ford. and they want me to pay $1050 to fix the problem. to me that doesnt seem right. any thoughts? MaccA
  14. well I I got back last night and have to fly back up in 5 and a half hours. its an interesting place. lots of circles im living in dickson and working in barton. which only takes around 10 mins to get to. I laughed at how the people at work said dont go down northbourne av, as traffic gets heavy at peak hour. I think it adds 3 mins to my travel time. they havent been in melbourne peak hour. except for the first day I was coming home from work. I got a bit lost and ended up on the tuggeranong pkwy, dont ask me how. but I got to see alot of canberra that day. I was getting worried whe the telstra tower was still on my right hand side. havent really had a chance to go out yet. think I gonna go to the ice hockey on saturday night, coz melbournes playing canberra. ive heard its alright. does anyone know if that moose head bar is any good. $1 drinks sounds mighty cheap. if anyone see's a black BA typhoon with personalised Vic plates. that's me. im usually pretty friendly so feel free to have a chat if you see me round. MaccA
  15. YEAH but they told me that's why hailey's comet collided with the moon. actually I hardly ever speak to the union. but I do know a couple of people that have gotten screwed over by the IR laws.
