  2. Was the sub a straight change over or did you have to cut and shut a bit to make it fit. I am sick of the pop pop. cheers
  3. Mine was built early feb and I pick it up late feb. Not sure of the exact date's on the plates The car is in the bits and spread between two different workshops getting billit rods and forgrd pistons due to number 6 bending and breaking the top ring land off the piston I had heard that the BF do have the LPG rods but I guess they must of missed mine, and they could of missed yours as well .WHO knows
  4. Well I can tell you I have seen my BF rods next to a BA F6 Typhoon's rod and the Typhoon's rods look a lot stronger and bigger then my bf rods. So unless they are using thinner rods it the BF F6 Typhoon's the rods are NOT the same. This what I have seen first hand not what some guy told me
  5. Didnt even try. I played and I pay and plus If I did try and get it fixed they would still only replace it will the stock gear. So now I have billet rods and forge piston which is good for long term power, plus I can do more mods with out the fear of throwing a rod like this poor guy So its all good at the end of the day
  6. If you needed to know what a bf rod and piston looks like, just take a look at the pic's. Its was my number 6 piston and rod. So my advice do the billet rods and forged pistons now it will be a lot cheaper then later
  7. Not a big fan of autobarn. The few stores I have been in the guys think they know it all, but they know jack . I got my pipe work from Plazmaman as I didnt want to go the nizpro / APS relocating the battery etc path. Helps the air flow and allows me to make 350rwkw which is more then enough for me.

    Oil Cooler

Looks sweet you have done a good job. What did you pay for your hose to be made up. My oil temp increased Once I had all my mods done to a bit higher then yours, So I would be very happy to get them down to 80-90c I still have to wait a few weeks before I can do mine, but its all good
  9. A little bit of track but, a few guys have talked about doing the oil pump gear when doing their rods. At what sort of power level should you be thinking of doing this mod and whats a set of gears cost to buy??
  10. The truth of the matter is. It does not matter how my rwkw you got because you are always going to find someone whos got more then you. So the most important point is, Holdens are and fords are no matter what they do to thier common hores. Just my opinion

    Oil Cooler

How many people run a Thermostat on the oil cooler line. I know that you do it to help the motor /oil get up to the correct temp quicker but surly with the turbo the oil will heat up a lot quicker and higher then a non turbo. So do you have to have in the T or is it fine with out one.????

    Oil Cooler

What adaptors did you guys use to fit between the block and oil filter. I was think about the Universal Engine Oil Cooler Kit form perma-cool but I am not to sure if the adaptor fits and it also use's clamps on the fitting. Would hate for one to blow off. Any more details on the rest of the setup that you guys are running Thanks
  13. Heres mine. I dont have one with the boost on it but I run about 15psi and 750 nm of torque. Next time I go down I will get them to do one with the boost and one with the torque. The cars off the road at the moment getting so work done on it and Iam stuck driving my ba e-gas ute and my better half's mazda 121 . Really miss the power of the xr
  14. My mate has all ready told me that he wants the rod so he can mount it and hang it on my office wall . Guess I am never going to live this down . It happen just as I was slowing down to turn right at some traffic light doing about 20 km/h, car ran rough like it was running on 5 pots not 6. So I drove the last 1 km to my mates house, wait for the motor to cool and pulled out the plugs and that's it. Running about 14 -15psi and has all the mods listed in my sig. Its a chance we all take when we mod our engine's and I new this when I started doing the mods. Its going to cost me $$$ but at the end of the day I will have a stronger motor which I know will give me plenty of power and I dont have live under the cloud of "will I bend or throw a rod" like all the other guys with good power and a stock bottom end
  15. The photo tells a thousand words or should I said a bucket load of $$$$ . Its my spark plug out the number 6 pot which I am guess has a bent rod as I have had the rocket cover off and the top end looks good, but can not be 100% sure until the head come's off. So looks like I will be saving up for a full rebuild and having my car off the road for a while. Good job its not my daily drive. This begs the question can I claim to be the first person with a BF to bend a rod
  16. Great job shane No one even came close to you that will show those Expensive Daewoo boys

    Bf Xr6t

My 06 BF does not have a oil cooler, not sure about the Con Rods being the same as the F6 but if they are . KPM just ripped the springs off my head so mabey they can confirm the springs
  18. Have a gutted 4"smb cat with a 4" dump pipe and have not heard any sounds, just a nice growl. Guess it must just be the guys with small pipes that have problems
  19. Would some have an email address for these guys or know of someone in Adelaide who sells them, as trying to phone during the day is just too hard for me with work at the moment
  20. Thanks guys Was mainly worried about oil in the TB so I have gone with the front hose. Not much room in the engine bay, had enough trouble finding a spot for one can, so only one is good for me cheers
  21. I looked at some of the other posts on this topic and they placed a filter on the hose in the middle of the motor which connects to the cross over pipe between the air filter and turbo. I can not tell where the one with the pcv valve hooks into. I think that I should be cutting this front hose with out the pcv and extending it to the catch can, which would place it between the rocker cover and the cross over pipe. The catch can does not vent, so the whole system is sealed just like the single pipe. This is my best guess, but still not 100% sure its right
  22. Brought a catch to fit on my BF the other day but I am not to sure which pipe to connect into. Is it the one in the middle of the rocker cover or the one at the rear? The one at the rear looks like it has the pcv valve on it so I thought that must be the one, but the one in the middle has thrown me.
  23. I got mine from injectorsonline, great to deal with and no hassles at all. He’s a member so just pm him as he does a special deal for member of this forum
  24. Not sure about the spoiler, it reminds me of a Expensive Daewoo a little bit. But the rest of the car is one sweet ride and as for the 4 exhaust pipes great stuff . Nice car!
