David, there are many guys who have blown their turbos because of this filter. Most (including me) do the frequent oil changes too. Problem is, the filter is too small. Just do it , then your turbo will last a very long time. My box went for 18 months at around 380 - 400 rwkw before it started to complain. It lasted another 6 months before the rebuild became a necessity.

I was thinking of changing to an Earls in line next service. Kit wasn't too worried as I change the oil every 4-5k anyway, it has just ticked over 55k's so will look at it next. Want to do the box but it has not missed a beat so I also don't want to spend $$$ for the sake of it I guess. Will see...

David, that sounds great. Yes the dilemma......what to get next. Gearbox?? Have you removed the factory oil filter in the turbo and installed an after market one? filter? Good stuff Max. Kit checked tune today after tank went in, 373rwkw. Has been going great, no issues touch wood. Now just have to save up for next step.... decisions....

G'day David. I think the PW surge tank is a great idea.....insurance, plus not having to run with a near full tank when you want to have a bit of fun.
The Phoon is going great. A few new goodies have found their way into it now. The THR low mount extractors are brilliant. It comes on alot quicker and is so much more responsive....and they look sexy too!!

Max how is the car going? Myn is in today for PW surge tank so I dont have to fill it 3 times a week!
Was close to selling a few months ago to a mate and looking at buying a sh F6. In the end I know after a couple of yrs I will want something else so I decided to keep the turbo taxi. When it pops one day I guess I can just take the next step...... There black holes these things.
