  4. Wake up to yourself, Chrome on late model cars, nothing wrong with a bit of bling. Funny how most wheel shops sells more chrome wheels than anything else.
  5. Keep it. Not worth loosing all that money. Spend a heap more on it, do it up, take it to the drags, put it around the track. Be worth even less then.
  6. I wouldn't let it go for anything under $40000 think about what car yards sell there demos for. If your prepared to loose more than that well so be it. I guess it depends how much you want to sell it and what else your going to buy. But you lost about $5000 the moment you drove it out the car yard.
  7. Count me in Shane, after the last day we had out there couldn't miss this one. Can't get enough of this
  8. Just go to a couple of local sign shops. You will be pleasantly surprised what they can do. Take a photo of another car the same as how you want them. It will be alot cheaper for them to do it than buy origional stripes from Ford.

  11. My situation was I had a car for private use. I claimed petrol and repairs on my business on BAS each quater. When I sold it to a family member for cash because trade value was sh*t. I bought a second hand car from a dealer, claimed the GST on my next BAS. The tax office rang me about 4 months later wanting to know where the GST on my old car is. I told them I gave it to a family member no GST was charged. They said you have to pay GST no matter what. Once you make any claims on a car you have to pay GST when you sell it. If you trade a car at a dealer you still have to pay the GST to the tax office on your next BAS. If you don't you will get caught you will have to pay the tax amount + interest & risk a fine.
  12. Don't get caught out like I did. If you sell a car privately and have claimed any of the running costs of that car in your business you will have to pay the GST when you sell it even if you didn't claim it in the first place. You will be able to claim GST on your new car and will have to repay it when you sell it. At the 11% of sale price that is. Hope you have an ABN or there is no hope.
  13. Are you going to create a ticking time bomb, that is the question. My opinion for what it's worth, which is'nt much is it will all come down to how you drive it. Flog it and somthing will give sooner or later, even on standard boost. I've been running 10psi for about 3 months and I know one thing, you will tend to drive alot harder when you have the extra grunt. No problems for me so far.
  14. I thought I'de have to buy the whole bonnet so I can get the metal workers next to my business to cut it out and weld it into my XR bonnet. It has a moulded lip arround the mesh/grille. Does the mould you have got this lip? how do you make them, fibreglass I assume? I want to keep my metal bonnet and put vent in it, not to sure about strength of a complete moulded fibre bonnet. Do you have any photos of one from your mold?
  15. At a mitsi spare parts counter, of course. ← Yeah, Yeah to expensive smart Ever priced genuine new parts. Wreckers are the next choice but try and find one with a Evo that has'nt been sold before it arrives at the yard.
  16. Sorry to hijack this thread but what about a vent like the Evo? Anyone know where I could pick up an Evo bonnet or a custom vent like it.
  17. Is Goldie going down the 1/4
  18. That would be great Ian. I'd like to line up next to you to see how I go against such a high powered beast as yours. Lets just hope the forecast rain doesn't spoil our fun. Big AL ← If this goes off image the stories you two will tell. I better come and witness this. Is it still on? What time are you leaving the coast?
  19. I have been running a custom tune done at chiptorque gold coast. Original box is a capa supplied by herrods. Yes I know how many hands... The dyno only showed 222rwks due to valve springs. But the torque now is great will light up rears at anything under 80km. Still have not regapped plugs or changed springs this is all to come later. So my opinion every car is different will fail at some point springs, injectors, fuel pump. So GET A CUSTOM TUNE to see the real story. Putting a generic tune from supplied box is asking for trouble. I still believe the rwks at 6000-7000rpm on dyno readouts is for the show offs what about the torque/pickup, mine impresses me, puts me in the back of my seat so I'm as happy as. My 2 cents.
  20. Search for the best price on a box they all come from Capa different names. AND GET A CUSTOM TUNE
  21. Hey Scott, You are more than welcome to come for a run in mine to see the differance and make up your own mind... Send a PM to me. My business is in Ernest if you want to come around one day.
  22. Hey there. Well I'm back after driving to Gympie for the weekend. Had a go on a skid pan yesterday, what sh#t load of fun is that, you've gotta give that a go. Back to my edit. Well after putting 98 ron fuel in it still have not gapped plugs yet. I'm very impressed with power gain. The power still drops of at around 5500-6000 Off the mark she gets up real quick. On the highway at around 120km give it a boot full and away we go drops a gear here comes 6000rpm starts to flutter until gear change up and it keeps picking up I thought I'd better back off at 200+kms I like owning a licence. So If I go to FIST for a custom tune why will they get a higher KW out of it if the valves can not handle over 6000rpm? Can they get higher kws at lower revs or something? By the way I paid $1400. Yes maybe a trip to Brisbane might have been a better result but I thought I'd give the local guys a go. I will eventually do valves. So won't I need to get an custom tune then anyway.
  23. Mine was about $650.00 for full log book service. I wonder if they did everything. Yeah right.
  24. Ian hav'nt you see the post on ya show'n'shine thread letting you know it on its way when the piggy bank recharges. The tuner at Chiptorque was only instructed to install the programmes in stealth box by Herrods. I'm not sure just yet as to exactely was has been done I hav'nt even payed for it yet. I picked it up yesterday and have only done about 30kms since. I have a printout from dyno showing figures. I must say the car performs much better now but thought I would share my feeling as to what happens if you do not get springs done as well. I guess that is what happens when you cut corners. The tuner did say that they have tuned back the car to stop vavle bounce but I think it still drops off at 5500rpm. I'll give it a good run on the weekend and see what I think then. Stay tuned.
  25. Its a Capa box from Herrods, installed by Chiptorque. Stock 186rwkw. Premium fuel.
