Ok well looks like a surge is the go, I just saw the latest posts. Don't want another blown engine... that will make it the 3rd one.. Thanks for the info guys helped a lot! Pretty excited. Was making 310rwkw on 17psi bleeding down to a pathetic 10psi... Next mod 1000hp nizpro cooler Electronic boost controller (GeForce 2) E85 Injectors and pump plus tune Got valve springs from my old engine if I need to throw them in I will

My my options are basically run a 460 in tank with a fuel regulator or the 255 in tank with dual 044's into a surge tank. Is one better than the other? And cost difference? I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk
-
Ok ill probably just get the tuner to install the injectors for the sake of things and that off chance something goes wrong.. With the surge tank, is it going to smell like a space ship leaking fuel all the time? I haven't purchased them yet so probably better to just go with an in tank pump that will be sufficient?

Hey guys time to move up in the world and aim for 400rwkw on my BA with a BF 2007 turbo engine. Im about to purchase a set of 1000cc bosch E85/unleaded injectors and a Walbro 255LPH E85/unleaded fuel pump. I am currently running 80lb / 800cc seimens bosch injectors and a Walbro 265LPH fuel pump woth a custom tune etc. Now my question is do I need to get the shop to put them in for me (and charge me an arm and a leg or can I install them myself and drive I to the shop without any issues. Also a side question, at what point do I need to change the fuel filter and fuel hoses if at all?

Does the cruise control not work at all? Anything come on the dash? If it does not activate at all check to see if your brake lights are on even when you're not pressing the brakes. If they are its a faulty brake switch and that also prevents cruise control from working Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Yeah I know that much but I'm just trying to find out what the main difference between the one I posted and theb2nd one the other bloke posted for sale are Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Looks good, still throwing up between the two different systems trying to find out the difference Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

I don't even know the difference to be honest haha I'll do some googling though I've heard it thrown around a bit Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

I'll look into getting 3.73's thrown in Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

thanks, ill put some more effort in my footwork and see how I go

My mistake then, I must have 3.23 ratio. And that makes it even more sluggish down low than the 3.45 haha Thoughts? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Hey guys I've converted my BA XR6 turbo form a 4 speed to a 6 speed manual and it goes great mid range 3,500rpm to high making 300rwkw. It feels VERY sluggish down low before boost hits not because of a mechanical problem or anything like that it just seams not as responsive or jumpy off the line and I'm thinking this could be dew to the STOCK BA 4 speed turbo diff gears being a 3.45 and the 6 speed being a 3.73. It wheel spins like a boss off the line or bogs down can not find an in-between (may be dew to my driving but still feels like the car is asleep down low in normal driving) Thoughts on diff gears to waken the thing up a bit or any other ideas? I've read the other threads but nothing really specific to my situation.

If you want his setup you're going to need to change over the fuel pump, lines and fuel filter. I think everything else will bolt on long as they are both 6 speed autos. You will need a custom tune too it will not run properly on stock tune. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Getting the car tuned at Dynomite Performance in footscray apparently they are top notch with xr's Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Haha yeah well I've got 20's on it, might be in the safe side to throw stockies on there, plus who wants to argue with a higher reading?? Mr dyno queen Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
-
Haha well they are plastered all over eBay and tyre shops as semi slicks.. Ok awesome thanks for clearing that up just didn't want to destroy them on the dyno Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
-
Hey guys going in for a custom tune tomorrow and I've read a little online that for various reasons semi slicks are no good for the dyno? They rip them apart because of the temps they reach on the dyno And they give an inaccurate reading? Currently running NITTO INVO 245's on the rear. Anyone have some.experience in this? And should I run the stockies sitting behind my shed?
-
OK guys the battle is over! all sorted! done and dusted! Problem was me flashing the auto custom tune and overwriting the manual ECU's programming and when we flashed it back to stock it was idling rough dew to the big injectors not going so low on the stock tune and causing it to run very rich. currently running a stock manual tune with the injectors tweaked a little bit till the shops open up after the holidays and throwing in a new custom tune! BIG BIG thanks to everyone for being patient and reaching out! much love IF ANYBODY HAS ANY QUESTIONS ON WHAT IS NEEDED, INSTALLATION, OR ANYTHING I AM HAPPY TO HELP JUST INBOX ME
-
haha ill start driving now ill arrive around Feb? Ok no worries ill jump on the forums tomorrow and see if we get anywhere with it there if nothing changed ill get that custom tune done when the shops open up down here thanks again
-
Well places are closed for around a week or so now dew to the holidays. Is there anything other than bridging the neutral switch, reverse lights and speedo that needed to be modified on the loom to fit the 6 speed? do the shift solenoids, torque converter and all the other stuff from the auto trans loom need to be hooked up to their respective power return to the ECU? right now they just end at the pin out and they come up on diagnostics as being earthed and not getting signals etc
-
I wont get the mechanic to change over the loom then, thanks a lot for everyone's patients. ill keep you boys posted
-
Ok tomorrow ill go to ford and tell them to do a PATS relearn and if that does not fix the problem, then go to horsepower factory who done the original auto custom tune and tell them to do another custom tune on the manual
