  5. Yeh gave the go ahead don't wanna mess around anymore, though had a couple lined up if necessary. Vehicle is a 2005 bf early model though Hi torque have good feedback so putting my trust in them
  6. Update Hi torque stripped engine down bottom end is 100% fine. Needs cylinder head replaced bent some valves stems, snapped timing chain and one of the cams threw off its groove n bored into its guide. Total cost $3500 Still not the best scenario but could have been a lot worse hope she runs good for here on out as I like the vehicle but if any else goes wrong the missus will force a sale Thanks for help everybody was a learning curve for me

  10. My ebay skills are a little weak at the moment evidently. Cheers If need b Will prob take it to real dyno performance in Redcliffe they quoted me $1250 for sct flash tuner with 3 tunes. Supposedly owner before last had a sct in it but took it with him Vehicle is steadily growing in price. Not too thrilled about it. Money definitely ain't growing on trees in my backyard Just got a notice I've reach my post limit of 10 for the day is that correct???

  13. Yeh I'm hearing u. It's got brake upgrade. Heavy duty twin plate clutch. N new pedders suspension all round. Let's see if I can snap a drive shaft hahhahahha

    Yeh it's all in the thread mas linked. Not the best scenario considering I wasn't putting too much pressure on it only running 11psi. I hear of people getting away running 16-18psi n driving it like its stolen n not having any probs
  15. $6500 sounds reasonable. Spool import sellin rebuild kits for like $2300. It's goin into hi-torque at Gold Coast. They reckon anywhere for 4k to 8k depending what needs replacing. Would love it to just need a timing chain kit hahhahahha I guess if I gotta rebuild it I may as well do it right n boost it up a bit afterwards It's was getting 420rwhp on only 11psi would b good to see what 16-18psi would net me Thanks for the response mate
  16. No major metal grinding or banging just the timing chain noise. All the noise is coming from directly at the front. Was still idling fine and purring like a kitten otherwise I wouldn't have kept putting along. It's was only running dry for prob 2 ks is that far enough to do serious damage? Thanks for the response mate will know Monday once they pull it apart what the damage is. Fingers crossed

So story goes Got a bc early model 420rwhp Gave it a stab the other night too of second gear oil light came on, backed off Still sounded fine idled fine Cruised bout 1 km to pick up kids When turned car back on engine and oil light on Only bout 2 kms home so I putter along won't let me rev above 2500 Power cuts off stop car wait ten mins Hoo back in starts n idles fine figure I'll put home 40k/h bam loud metal rattle sounds like timing chain is just ripping teeth car shuts off. Done Try to start up get that horrible timing chain noise won't turn over. I think oil pump fail engine starving for oil Engine getting pulled apart on Monday to access damage Anybody got an idea what I mite b looking at Hopefully just timing chain no serious damage Currently quoted 6-8 Hun to strip engine 4k for semi rebuild 6-8 for full rebuild do these figures sound right? If rebuild I will get a spool import kit Any responses or help is greatly appreciated

    Hello ford men New to the forum and just purchased my first xr6t couple months ago. It's a bf early model 6 speed manual 4inch dump full stainless exhaust middle muffle cut out Plasmaman intercooler n piping Cold air intake New garret turbo, flapper mod, 12 psi actuator Upgraded Valve springs Supposedly ported polished head n possibly other internal work Prob a lot of things I missed Currently got a live tune got 422rwhp on 11psi It's a little flashy for my liking but I feel I got it for a good price though I have had my engine sh*t it self so will be posting a thread soon asking a few questions any help would b appreciated Cheers
