  3. I want to connect mp3 player to ICC. Do I just purchase that AUX plug from ford? What about the aux whine that I heard about, will that be there and will I have to get that sorted as well? Does it matter which ICC you have, whether its 6 stack cd or just basic with single disk? Thanks

  7. Found a guy who is selling these mini PC's which you can plug into cigarette lighter coz it has 12v power supply. Its tiny and can fit under the seat. Does anyone know how I would connect it to the ICC to play music, vids etc?

The problem was due to the wastegate actually slipping down some how, not sure if it was factory fault or not but because it had slipped down it was hitting the wall of the turbo and wouldnt close. It took a very hard bashing to move it just a few mm so hopefully it wont happen again and if it does then a tak weld wil make sure it doesnt slip down again.

  11. Yes was custom tuned with edit and managed 230 rwkw with 6psi. Tune is meant to pump out 12psi and have 270rwkw +. Boost comes in late after 4000 rpm. Tried another boost controller and that wasnt problem. If its a sticky wastegate how would I go about freeing it up? And im guessing the only way to see if its the actuator is to change it, roughly how much?
  12. hi I have an 04 xr6t with a xforce exhaust had it tuned and it wasnt boosting over 6psi checked the cat and it was fine I havent checked the turbo we even tryed a boost controller what else could it be apart from the turbo??? thanx

    Edit Problems

    I felt no power increase after the flash and the turbo doesn't kick in at all after 3000rpm. Nah, I don't have a boost gauge but I'm thinking about getting one now. ← Like the others said, check all the pipes. If everything is ok then perhaps try flashing in another tune p2, p1 or which ever u havnt tried yet.

    Yeh the power light should flash and the slot you flashed in the light should stay on. Can you feel a power inscrease when you flash in the tune? Do you have a boost gauge? Nesh
  15. Are you using the stock cooler with stock plumbing? If you are than you have to block the turbo intercooled induction side aswell. What would you use to block that off?
  16. Checked the selector and its as tight as it can be. Its wierd becuase its exactly the same as the old box that's why im wondering if its something else that's causing it. Or it could just be my luck that I got another crappy box.
  17. I know 100% they changed it because I saw them working on the car and the box feels totally different. Very firm and I supose a little stiff going into gears. Its much stiffer than the old one so its definately a new one but same rattle problem as old one. Can the tail shaft effect a box in some way? Do tail shafts getting balanced have anything to do with the gearbox?
  18. Can anyone recomend a place to take it to in melbourne that have done a bit of work and know about the T5's in the xr6 turbo? Just to get an opnion. Nesh
  19. I know how it is had to be driven 3 different times to get aproved. Everything is normal with these boxes just so they dont have to get replaced. The funniest thing of all is that one of the ford blokes showed me on the computer how much a new 5 speed is, which is $5500 and a 6 speed $4500. Not axact figures but the 5 speed was in the 5k mark and 6 speed in 4k mark and was about 1k diff. How is the crapier box more expensive? Nesh
  20. it was just changed because of that and some other noise and the new box still does the vibrating. How can a new box be that bad. Could it be something else which causes it to vibrate like clutch or something, im not sure so dont laugh at my stupid questions. Nesh
  21. the old box used to do that wen u changed to third and excelerate but not this one, only in 3rd and 4th above 4000 rpm it starts to vibrate hard. Nesh
  22. Just want to know if this is only happening to me. In 3rd and 4th gear at high rpm lets say over 4, 4500 rpm the box starts to sound like the gears are grinding inside and wen u hold your hand on the gearstick it feels like a jack hamer. The car is stock and the box is new with only 1000ks. The previous box did the same thing aswell and that's part of the reason it was changed. Nesh

  25. I only clutched second a handful of times when I first got the car until my clutch slipped then I stopped. Now I wait till im in the gear and then I give it a bootful. Iv never wacked gears and treated it rough. Nesh
