Thanks for the replies. The car has just done 125,000 k's and it's a non turbo. Yeah that's what I had in mind but wanted to check if anyone here had the issue before. Today I gave it in D and it did the same thing so I'm assuming it's gotten worse. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow to have it checked out just worried if somethings broken and not covered under warranty. Rab the car was fine two days ago so I don't think the problem's there....

Hey, I bought an FG XR6 ute a few days ago with a ZF 6 speed gearbox. I just wanted to know if anyone could diagnose the issue I've been having since two days ago. So the car drives fine in D even at WOT yet when I put it into performance mode and accelerate to say overtake someone then the car will down gear and make a thump while the traction control sign on the cluster will flash a few times even though there's no way I'm spinning in say third gear. After this it just won't accelerate quickly at all. I have only had the car for a few days and honestly haven't thrashed it. Maybe the occasional acceleration but nothing harsh. Does anyone have a clue as to what it might be? Thanks.
