  1. Thanks Matty, it is a daily so I was seriously considering the gtx3576r over the 82 but the only issue I have was the room to move later on. I keep asking myself how much power does a man need for the street? I will discuss this with my tuner and see what he thinks, thanks mate
  2. thanks guys I am sort of leaning towards the GTX3582r because who knows what I will get up to next with the mods and I would like some room to move if I decide I want more out of the car, I have read some more info on the 3582 and the lag with the standard housing (modified) seems to be the go? Is this possible?

Back again guys, I have an update on where I am heading with the mods to my G6ET, I am going to replace the turbo even though it doesnt seem to be getting any worse in noise and I am looking for a GTX3582r or GTX3576r, my goal is to get to 350rwkw so I will also have to buy a bigger cooler as mentioned above (Proccess West Stage 1 cooler). Now has anyone installed either of these turbos and how do they compair to the small turbo with spool time? I have read all the forums and I still have no answer as to which one is best for my application?
  4. Does not sound like Bizkets, that is fairly obvious is rooted. Mine is hardly noticable but it is still not smothe by any means. Just to give you an insite my car has only travelled 30000kms and has had regular services completed by ford themselves so if I was to replace the core and fix the problem what will prevent this from happening again in another 30000kms time? is there a better setup that will last longer out there?

Hi Guys, I have had a bit of a win with the first tuner that tuned my car after some lenghty discussions, he has offered me a set of ID1000 injectors to replace the 750cc ones he installed as this is the preference of the new tuner and to help with rough idle and injector scaling. He also has offered to reimberse me the money for the failed custom tune. So unfortunatly due to his good will and my promise to him not to rubbish him I will not be able to name and shame him at this point in time. I have noticed another issue though, my turbo is on its way out I think? When I turn off the car a noticable noise comes from the turbo when winding down, I wonder if anyone else has this problem and how long the turbo lasted before sh*tting itself?

  7. Yeah your 100% right I dont want to molest my G6E if I can help it in regargs to cutting it up. Is running 17-18 psi detrimental to these engines or turbo chargers for that matter? The 2nd tuner of my car suggested that my turbo may have been cooked by the 1st fark head that tried tuning my car due to heat soak (running 19+psi as per dyno graph previously), is this possible and how can I tell? Would the bearings be noisy or any other tell tail signs?
  8. Cool im glad we are on the same page, and exhaust is not an issue I take? happy days!! Thank you all again for your input and ill be back with some more info on tuners and hopefully in the 300 club. If I manage to crack the 300+ I will also run it down the 1/4 and post some times along with the dyno sheets. Cheers guys

The only reason I installed a F6 cooler was to eliminate the fact that the first tuner thought that I had a boost leak (picked it up for next to nothing), the only boost leak I had was coming from my ears when I found out after spending time and money on piping and intercooler not much changed!!! So from what I gather with all your advice (thanks heaps BTW) is that with the smaller turbo that the XR6T and G6ET have in the FG model the more boost you try and get out of these things the more friction you cause inturn creating more heat which results in less performance (correct me if I am wrong). So if I was to invest in a larger more efficient cooler what would you guys reccomend? I am not interested in cutting or drilling into my car as I want to keep it as stock as possible so is there something out there that will do the job by just bolting in? Also my aim is to max out the small turbo and that will be enough for me, not looking at more then 320rwkw. With the exhaust system I am also reluctant to moddify more then what I have (venom high flow cat) as I love how this sounds and do not want to draw attention with louder system, this said I have been told by my second tuner that with the set up I have exhaust wise I should easily max out the small turbo, anyone disagree?
  10. I noticed on your earlier post that you made 290.9 on 13PSI, so excuse me for being a little dumb but if you put in more boost eg. 16.5PSI sould my figure not be higher than the car you tuned at 13PSI?
  11. Unfortunatly the green line is after a custom tune so yeah took it hard without lube on the first attempt, second tune was by a reputable tuner in Melbourne and he suggests that injectors are not sufficiant enough to control Air/Fuel ratios he said to install som ID1000? Would this help?

  13. Here Goes, and the winner is..........................................Seaton. The Green power curve is the first tuner and the red curve is the second tuner. WTF is going on here I am over throwing away cash with no real gain!!

Hi Guys, Long time follower first time poster, I have a G6ET that I have recently modded and something does not seem right in terms of what mods were done compairing this to other peoples mods vs. power . Mods Include: K&N air filter in standard box with standard snorkle (holes drilled in bottom of box behind front head light) Herrod Intercooler Piping FG F6 Intercooler 750cc Injectors (recomended by tuner) Venom bolt in cat pipe Regapped plugs 12psi Waste gate actuator Ported Waste gate Custom Tune on 16.5PSI Can anyone have a guess as to what power I made in terms of rwkw?? (I will post dyno sheets after your comments)
