  1. Thanks! Sandwich plate still the way to go these days?
  2. After a couple of years with 2 empty slots next to my Cobalt boost gauge, I'm again interested in getting the Interceptor gauges. Is direct from the US the best way to go these days? I assume CNF Ford is the one we need? I was tracking Xtreme Auto Gauges back when I first installed the boost gauge but couldn't justify the $700 they were asking...... Did you do any of the analog senders too?
  3. The hose to the BOV is actually just really thick - I installed the Autometer Cobalt in mine a couple of weeks ago and was skeptical, but it is big enough to fit snugly. What's wrong with taking the ICC out? It's a small job and makes feeding the tube down the left hand side much easier.
  4. Found this post in the Electrics section which solved my problem: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...st&p=733897 This is probably something that needs to be stickied or in a FAQ for the electric Autometer gauges.
  5. Electric Fullsweep. Installation guide attached. Section 8 is where it details the requirement I'm talking about. autometer_boost_install_manual.pdf
  6. Hi guys - I'm having a hard time trying to find the right +12V wire to tap into for the Autometer Cobalt Boost/Vac gauge (#6159). The install guide says to find a switched +12V source that maintains power during engine cranking. This is where I've come unstuck. The power source in the tissue box area resets to 0 when I've checked with a multimeter and the mobile phone plug behind the fuse box also does this. There is a constant +12V which looks like a direct battery connection but I don't think it should be used for this case (won't it drain the battery?). Just after pointers by others that have installed this particular gauge. The problem with the wires I've tried is that the gauge resets itself when you switch to ACC as well as when you start the engine and then gives incorrect readings (idle is -8 and full boost on an unedited car is reading 10). Any help is greatly appreciated!
  7. What's the model of your original bluetooth module? Reckon a generic ebay cheapy could be wired the same way?
  8. Anyone got the metric gauges installed yet? They're listed as available now....... I'd also be keen to find out if anyone has used their analog sensors for oil pressure/temp - they're listed on the US website but not the Aus reseller.
  9. Right here at the Alpine website. The link you want is VehicleHub at the top of the grey menu section.
  10. Who's this with? I just got myself a BF Turbo, I'm 24 and the best I could find was Just Car for $1045.
  11. As of last Thursday I've joined the XR6T club with my BF Bionic manual. Just wondering if people in SA can recommend someone to do tinting? And more generally what films are good. Tint-a-car quoted me $395.....
  12. I just bought myself a Bionic BF XR6T last week. I'm 24 and with Just Cars with a premium of $1045 + $35 for rating one protection. I haven't done any mods on it however......
