  1. A man was sunbathing naked at the beach. For the sake of civility, and to keep it from getting sunburned, he had a hat over his privates. A woman walks past and says, snickering, "If you were a gentleman you'd lift your hat." He raised an eyebrow and replied, "If you weren't so ugly it would lift itself."
  2. Wow, this is an easy one. I can answer this ... So ... some POS bags my car ... I act surprised and say, "Oh, you've driven one of these then?" They invariably answer, "No". I then say quite matter of factly, "Well I've driven a few just like yours." Then I wait for a couple of seconds ... (the pregnant pause) ... and then add, "which is why I decided to buy this". Shuts them down and they never have a comeback after that.
  3. NSW has the blues ... again.
  4. Well I'm not in SA. And I don't own an XR6 turbo. However if either happened I would use Bruce. He was one of the first owners of a BA XR6 turbo in the country so his experience goes to the roots. There may be others as good but I doubt you'll get any BETTER. On top of that he's a top bloke and doesn't ask for your arm leg or left nut.
  5. Siamese - you get double the cat for your money ... esp good for V8s. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
  6. Heheheh ... you might have had your hands on it, BUT ... were you ever really in control???
  7. Yep, I've seen those faces too. And I've got some names for them as well. Pity most wouldn't pass the swear filter. PS. I am a bit heartbroken though that you didn't ride with me in a real T LOL.
  8. Therese and I will meet you all at Thirlmere - no point in our travelling to Mt Annan just to double back.
  9. Point One ... I don't think I ever warned or banned you (although you probably deserved it ... just for driving an auto if nothing else! heheheh) Point Two ... I have never lost an argument Point Three ... If I ever did lose an argument then Refer to Point Two.
  10. Everyone has some GAY in them. I don't see much difference between someone playing netball or basketball. Hell some people down (way down) south play Aussie Rules. And then there are those who drive autos ... maybe Tabbitha could put up a poll on THAT one!
  11. Yep he is half the price - and I have it on good authority that you can buy one from your local Expensive Daewoo dealer for half that again. I know where I'd be shopping. AND I HATE HOLDEN !!! but hey, if it saves you money !!! s
  12. Oh? What do you know that I don't? Or maybe you are confused between GTs and GTHOs ??? I can assure you that the original GTs used the same engines and suspensions that were available on the Falcon and Fairlane sedan range of the time. OK, a couple had bonnet scoop/shaker which distinguished them, but the engines/suspensions were available on the entire range. You could even get the Fairlane with 4-speed top loader. tabbitha> yep, sure do. Oh, BTW did I tell you I've added another to the collection? :smileysex:
  13. Actually, GT Falcons were just Fairmonts with stripes and stickers. Not much has changed at Ford in the past 40 years.
  14. That's pretty spot on. We had the HOs first release in 69 culminating with the Phase 3 in 71. Then we had to wait 30 years 'till 99 to get the T-Series which also evolved through three series to culminate with the T3, the only true modern day muscle car (from Ford at least). So look ahead to 2029 and we'll see what "muscle" Ford can deliver then.
  15. Ho hum ... another for the "who cares" cabinet. I'm just not excited by much that FPV offers ... except the Typhoon/Tornado
  16. Have any workshops out there yet managed to work out how to rig a full manual shifter so the box can be used behind "old" motors like Clevos etc.?
  17. Ford have noticed that the majority of drivers these days prefer to use their finger and have decide therefore to discontinue the practice of fitting horns to their vehicles. Also, automatic transmissions are soon to be the only available option due to the fact that manual gearboxes require the use of at least one hand to change gears. This is not only a great inconvenience but it also interferes with the use of said finger for signalling to other drivers.
  18. Ahh yes, I do remember that now. I also remember it was when I was in the TS auto with the poor ol' street tyres running at just 30psi. And I also remember it was a different story in the TE and some air in the tyres though wasn't it? Nah, it's not Al Zymer's time for me YET.
  19. So just because you did ONE lap ALMOST as quick as me you think you think you deserve promotion to the front now eh?
  20. WOW, I'm impressed. I'm not easily impressed. I don't know exactly what impressed me the most. Ivan's new car, or the fact that he kept it not only on the track all day but that he did it very QUICKLY. That thing is a concealed weapon. 1:14s around Wakefield in a stocker is a good effort by anyone's standards. Well done Ivy.
  21. Not when they get to the Clyde it's not ...
  22. It makes them feel important ... always a good thing to have them think they are in control heheheh.
  23. So what time is it kicking off at Wakefield? I assume the usual is about 9am - depending on the fog. Anyhow, Therese has "allowed" me the use of her TS for the day so we will be there. Also a work colleague is coming in his R8 Clubbie - so at least there will be someone other than Cro that Therese's auto will be able to beat! :tease:
  24. Just to update Ivan's fuel prognosis - there is no BP in Batemans Bay on a Sunday. There is Caltex 95 only, no longer have 98. And there is Optisoot but who cares? Unsure whether I can attend yet.

Nah mate, I don't think it had been "grandma-ed" - in any event it should have been well "over it" by the time I put the first 10km on it - my drive was about 20km in all. ... and yeah, ... damn fine machine. At $60k it shames a lot of Euros that are double the price. The finish is great and performance generally is perfect for the market at which it is aimed.
