  1. It costs twice as much. I'd be horrified if it wasn't the best of the cars you have mentioned. As for the original post: What are you after? performance? value? comfort? My sister just bought a liberty premium, I absolutely love it as far as build quality and comfort are concerned, but if you want performance then you'd be doing well to give it a miss. My limited xr6t/xr8 experience is that these things offer a great overall package for the money you spend. Comfort is pretty good, performance is pretty good, build quality I thought was fine. Nothing really amazed me, but everything was above average. Having said this, I just bought myself an s2000 and couldn't be happier
  2. Haven't checked to see if anything has changed, however I can tell you that FPV sport steering wheels are about twice the price of the XR ones.
  3. am I mistaken or is he doing exactly 0rpm the whole time..... you do know he's make the noises with his mouth right?
  4. oh crap... I turn around for 5mins and someone beat me to it
  5. so..... what colour are you gonna get it sprayed? (sorry - had to say it before someone else did! - congrats on the purchase, looks sweet!)
  6. Have a look for the guages on ebay. Or I guess you could just get a VIN number from carsales.com.au or drive.com.au
  7. IMCUTE on a civic hatch, fat chinese guy driving it of course....
  8. Part of the reason why I decided not to buy an xr6T in the end is the price of fuel is just going to go up and up. Such a shame really, completely ruins all the 'fun' cars which I had wanted. What are the specifics of your car? and where is it located?
  9. xr6boy: I was first interested in the 4L v8, mainly because it seems to have all the extras, however now I'm thinking that an sc300 might be better as I can put a 2jzgte in there without any dramas. exahsix: Thanks for the advice on the issues with buying an old car, I do consider that a pretty big downside, but with the money I would save, hopefully I can spend it on fixing up issues like what you mention. (I've been to soarercentral, what a great site!) I love T's, and I haven't completely ruled out the possibility of getting one, but I'm slowly starting to like the look of some of the nicer jap imports.
  10. not sarcasm at all. I've had a lot of help when asking about xr6t's and phoons. Now that my 3rd attempted order of one of those two has been cocked up, I've decided to try buying something else.
  11. thanks anyway. (I wouldn't dream of doing that to an xr6t!) I've located a suitable lexus forum so guess I'll ask there. Just thought I'd try here first as Im already registered, and know I'll usually get good advice here.
  12. I was wanting to do some large customizations to a car but have no idea where to go in sydney. The car is a 1993 Lexus SC400, and I'd want to do the following: - retrim the seats with leather (I know a few places for this, but recommendations would be great) - replace equipement in the dash/centre console (it looks out dated, I'd want to modernise it a bit). - turn it into a convertible (this is the big one, no idea if its even possible). If anyone can mention names of places or websites which deal with this kind of stuff, I'd be very greatful. Cheers
  13. I think that most people agree, its just not politically correct to do so publicly.
  14. I was suprised how cheap it was yesterday, and have been suprised for the last couple of months how expensive it is on wednesdays. Tuesday morning does seem to be one of the better times to buy your fuel.
  15. Why will they be checking your rego? just drive safely and avoid that part.
