Just found the same issue on fitting a NOS Ford Alternator to my BFII, lucky I had the right size tap handy.. they must have made a heap on Friday arvo
-
Seems to be a relatively common issue, there's more than a few story's of people being charged 1000's of dollars at suspension places for repairs with the issue only reoccurring afterwards then cured with the rod adjustment I've owned a couple of BFII's since then but they never have any issues
-
I had this issue on our old 2005 BF XR6, was the brake booster rod adjustment, if the issue pops up again that'll be it The steering would shake pretty violently from no reason at all, slow down.. stop check tyres/missing wheel weight etc. carry on driving no issue for weeks then randomly it'll happen out of nowhere, slow down, stop.. start driving again no dramas! Remove the master cylinder from the brake booster (can be done carefully without dropping the fluid) inside the booster there's a threaded actuation rod, wind it in 1/4 of a turn (to increase the freeplay) and should fix, if not wind in another 1/4 of a turn From what I understand there's not enough clearance and the rod makes contact with the master cylinder causing the EBS to have issues resulting in the steering shake, since I did the rod on our car it never did the steering shake again Thanks Google!

Rspec Build No. Colour And Transmission
YEH RIGHT replied to SILK RSPEC's topic in FPV PERFORMANCE INC.
Hey Chicho There was a guy running the FPV Bible and another R Spec page that from all reports had left FB I still own #118 (ego/zf6) but no longer on FB -
my standard gauge just died one day, but that read zero.. had a a spare gauge and problem solved sounds like a sender or wiring issue

Nice, close to mine, #118 ego, 6 speed auto -
She got side swiped, insurance covered the damage so I paid in the extra to get the whole car done as the clear was failing plus some dents/scratches on the other side plus the new bonnet as the old one was a little rusty
-
Another one after painting I did think about a dash of pearl or heavy metallic, but thinking it's better to keep it standard

well, almost 2 years later #118 has has a full respray with a new bonnet and badges, new hoodlining, tyres and plates Been in touch with F6R but yet to catch up with him
-
Just an update.. #118 has a new owner (me!) and I've been in touch with F6R which filled in a lot of blanks Needs a tidy up and some things fixed but still a great car Thanks a bunch!
-
BUMP Looking at buying #118.. does anyone know how to get in contact with F6R from here as it's his old car.. looks like he's been offline for a number of years?
