  1. To put it simple , if you turn them upside down or sometimes even on their side you can "INK" the screen basically destroys the screen , makes it look like pen in has run through the back of the glass display.. after that point its a trip to the bin. I do automotive electronics and car audio , I've worked on this numerous times in cases where the "non premium" cd mechanism jams up and then the customer wants an upgrade , I simply get a premium system to replace it and swap the BCM box over so the rest of the car still works, then you can add on a AV unit to the factory ICC "navigation" input on the base of the ICC. add a single DIN deck below that does dvd and you're set for dvd etc.
  2. All that for an Eonon deck , did it crap itself the first or the second week?
  3. with those mods being stated I should be good for 340-350rwkw without an intake plenum , true?
  4. Ugraded bosch fuel pump, bosch 968 injectors, pwr intercooler, crow cams valve springs, ported wastegate and upgraded 11.8 actuator, full x force 4" dump to single 3.5" system , K and N panel intake ,xcal 3 flasher (only this 293 tune and stock - I assume) zf 6 speed
  5. ahhhh I see , so reflash the trans tune, not the engine tune , so theres two seperate sections and files within the xcal?
  6. I dont think he knows how to use the x3 I might have to bang it on there for him , so just to be clear, are you saying if I put the stock tune back that will change the shift patterns back again ? so it will be less vicious during changes? then if I re upload the 293kw tune it will be smoother because it hasnt learnt how I drive that tune(like a reset)?...... I thought changing a shift pattern would be a seperate things to the ecu "run tune" but then again im no mechanic im just an auto sparky lol
  7. Yeah hes got the older X3 and ive got a spare X4 as well lying around at home if I ever need it as well (I unlocked it off an old vehicle I owned), his x3 only has the factory tune and the tune hes running now (hes told me he doesnt know what tunes are on it - so assume its just factory and the 293rwkw tune)
  8. I've just gotten off the phone with the guys down at HPF in Melbourne (I was told that's where all the work had been done). They've told me the shift pattern had been changed.....they generally do it for any tune over 280rwkw, does that sound legit to everyone else - just concerned because as I say I've never owned a ZF and I didn't wanna dare step foot in the 4 speed trans zone.
  9. lol I'm near wanneroo area if that narrows it down? I usually get my work done on my turbo ute by Darren at Monsta Torque in malaga, I used to use Xtreme ford tuning , but they're just too far away. Trouble is the guy I'm buying off is Down near melville (southern river) and he works a lot hence he's here from Victoria on business. Makes it extremely hard to make the distance and get to my guys at MT for an inspection.
  10. The bloke said HPF in melbourne did the tune..... as he is from victoria and now brought the car to WA where I am, I have no real way of checking and I dont think a simple phone call is going to help me much unfortunately
  11. Hi guys (and girls) , im about to purchase my second b-series , I have a 6 speed manual BA mkii ute running 310rwkw ... and I just put a deposit on a BF auto 6 speed ZF running 298rww, only think I noticed aside from a crunch / scrap sound from the rear driver side (assuming its a bad bush) was the gearbox. I'm just wondering if it's normal for a ZF box to be very rough and snap into gears like a trick kit or shift kit. I am unsure if it's been built and strengthened to suit the power or if its just a standard box ( all the other ive driven havent been so rough , but werent running as much power either), the owner selling it says it was normal and adjusted for the tune - just checking to see if that's actually the case or if im buy a dodgy box. Its not slipping and gear changes are fast and when I stomp it , its manly when cruising around in "drive" 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd really seem to snap you back a bit... any info will be helpful guys, thanks... if I left anything just ask and I will submit more info.
