Been researching for wheels that suit a BA BF ute shape. I want something relatively light weight, something a little sporty, maybe even a little JDM. I'd like 19" and to get over brembos. I might be a little fussy maybe Some wheels I like: simmons FR xxr527 weds kranze silver argents SSR professor p1 BBS mesh don't like: cheetahs chrome rotas rockstars or similar I don't want to roll the guards. the car will be lowered. Photo suggestions would be appreciated.

Yup! HD valve springs are next on the list with Xcal tunes, suspension and possible plumbing upgrade. I probably wont go too far with the car re: mods because I want to maintain some originality and reliability. But from what I have read the actuator, solenoids and sensors can be an issue. Unsure wether I want boost coming on earlier too, but once ive got maintenance and reliability attended to, I might crank up the PSI. At this stage I just wanted to clean it up and drive it for a while for a while and get to know the ute.

^ Pretty good power. Does the boost come on smooth or is it a kick in the pants? Dropped my stock BFII 65000kms tornado off at Heinrich Performance and Tuning. Mods were remove the turbo filter, walbro pump, 60lb (or 80lb) injectors, 4" dump, 3 1/2 turbo back with 100 cell cat and one muffler, CAI mod to stock air box w/ new filter and custom mild tune on 98. Think I'll make the 300rwkw mark? (ps I did pose this Q in general tech but had no response. Ive only seen my car for 2 hrs from transporting it haha so im a little excited)

I dropped my stock 65000kms Tornado 6spd man at Heinrich's Performance and Tuning for maintenance and mods. What they have done is: - new centre bearing - power steering hose - major service - new front EBC red pads and DBA dimpled and slotted discs - CAI mod - siemens 60lb injectors - walbro fuel pump (unsure which model but research suggests gss340 is the model of choice for utes) - stainless steel exhaust was unavailable so they are doing a mild steel exhaust unfortunately - ive asked for only a cat and one muffler - One off mild tune is being done as I type this Any guesses on power from the current mods being done this week on a mild tune? Future plans include: - bigger plumbing - super roo bush replacement when I put in shockworks suspension - heavy duty valve springs - new momo steering wheel - new wheels- maybe fr20-1's Any suggestions or things to consider?

So I just told my mechanic to slap on some EBC red's with new dimpled rotors. Want the performance not too worried about noise. Hope ive made the right choice :/

when I spoke to Jarred at thewheeldeal.com.au he was saying that the diff in ford utes aren't centre from factory which can affect the offset choice when trying to get a set close to the guards

lightning strike is such a nice colour for the BF F6 range. Gunmetal grey in the front bat and fog lights sit well against it. Almost bought a lightning strike tornado myself..

My car gets a few mods and tune next week. Anyone wanna put any guesses on the table? 400cc injectors 4" dump and turbo back w/ 100 cell muffler better breathing CAI custom mild tune on 98 Im hoping for around 300rwkw... but that's optimistic Once I get an Xcal 3 (anyone selling one) I'll get some better plumbing and go again FYI being done at Heinrichs - unsure what dyno they use

MC said they come in a different range of offsets, or do you mean one offset for BA BF range, one offset for pre-AU etc? -

also, anyone got anything to add to the hysteria around MC wheels made at the same place the now one piece simmons are made? inc. the simmons wheel caps and MC caps are interchangeable. also read a few comments that people seem to think simmons are cheapening their brand to compete with MC wheels. I agree to an extent, but in an open market and in a day where people should be looking out for their back pocket as opposed to holding up traditions of an already wealthy overpriced brand like simmons, are MC a quality/price healthy alternative to simmons, if in fact, they are not made on the same production line? -

I contacted SHOCKWORKS and I have to wait about 3 weeks. Wanting front coil overs and OEM spring and adj rear dampers. Just a quick Q RE: ride lower height. Did you guys order OEM replacement? or did you ask for a lower stance? Should I ask for slightly lower spring or can I achieve a lower stance with reducing the coilover/damper thrust?

FYI cat600 has built cars that only Satan could dream of. Think he works for bluestreak

Well it wont be much of a restoration. I will bring it back up to scratch and do some mods. The mods as I mentioned are more about squeezing some better performance out of it, whilst also maintaining the life of the car and enjoying it. I hope to get about 350rwkw without going overboard with mods. I want to keep it stock looking minus wheels and ride height. My goal is to lift the engine bay and barely be able to tell it has been modded. As I also said ill be keeping the stock parts so reverting back to stick will A) wont be too hard cause I wont be cutting/welding only bolt on mods B) the stock parts will have under 70000kms too. See how it all unfolds. I look forward to some spirited scenic driving along the south coast and a some amateur fun up the drag strip.

for some reason I cant post links or pictures. Its much like the AFF format but when I click ok nothing happens. I try to close the box and it doesn't close.

Much like the Pursuit 250. That was my next choice of car if I couldn't get a low KM manual Tornado.
