Anyone know if I can get the fg style (bulge) bonnet on my Bf T, preferably in Melbourne. If not, can panel beaters weld the bulge on an existing bonnet? Has anyone tried this, I just prefer the fg bulge over the older one. Any help would be great

I'm new to modding here so basically trying to gather as much information as possible, as when I mod my car I want to do everything right at once and not light years apart. I'm trying to achieve something around the 350 rwkw mark and want it safely (without parts letting out or mechanical failures), I apologise for coming across as a newbie but its cos I am, and I am genuinely trying to do whats best for my car lol.

Is porting necessary, and how much is it approx? What do I change with the cams? My cars done 170k kms, if I should do all these think I may need to save some more money haha

thought the valve springs were good on the post 06 builds? budget is around 5-6k

Yeah im not looking to show off or attract cops with a system louder then a rocket. I want a nice tone, don't wanna be the loudest in the room. I definitely want a turbo back system but a lot of people were telling me that 350 awkw is easily achievable with the stock dump. My budget is tight and so far haven't been able to find a system under 1600 or so give or take.

so you reckon the stock dump is fine at the power level?

I really love the look of the quad tips, but I am on budget hahaha. Would eBay/gumtree be the only place to get second hand parts? I live in Melbourne not sure of any places where I find used parts. Pretty much have only been locking at brand new xforce systems approx $1600 or there abouts.

Hi guys, I saved up some money and ready to go hunting for my exhaust system. I have a 2007 BF MII XR6T, no mods on it atm (behind uni and work has been hard to dedicate time to mods) It has the ZF transmission. In terms of power I'm looking to reach somewhere around the 350 rwkw range. Basically mods I'm trying to gather are; intercooler (stage 2 most likely) tune+injectors fuel pump and depending on interceder piping etc relocation of battery etc Now with the power range I'm looking for I'm unsure of what exhaust system I should get. Mild or stainless (I heard mild is cheaper and louder, may be wrong) 3.5" or 4" inch dump (are there any pros/ cons for the power I want?) Quad or duel system (I love the look of the quad, but is there any difference between this or the duel other then probably sound?) If dual is the way, do I get twin dump? Help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

so then we could say that both the f6 and 335 are roughly the same in 0-100 and the quarter mile? just trying to settle an argument with a friend hahah, don't think we will settle by the looks of it

have you got a list of any f6 times?

has anyone tested a stock v stock, I think in the long the 335 would win, but in the quarter and 0-100 the f6 would have it, just my opinion, was just looking if anyone has confirmation hahah

Kinda curious now, with the following mods: - full exhaust 4 inch dump 100 cat etc - stage 2 intercooler - 1000 id injectors - fuel pump - battery relocation and cold air intake - tune What power am I looking at? How much of a difference will this make and has anyone with similar mods have 0-100 and 1/4 mile times, would greatly appreciate any input.

so I guess need to change the front bushes as well now lol

Thanks mate will look into it, mechanic says its the wheel bearing but kinda having doubts seems like every time he fixes something, something else around the region conveniently breaks

Just a quick question guys, I'm going to change the front wheel bearings on my T, I've been trying to do some research but haven't come to decision on whether to use the genuine ones or aftermarket ones, has anyone got some information for me? Basically noticed that my cars running rougher and louder, at first thought it was wheel alignment or even tyre pressure, checked pressure (all tyres at 38) did a wheel alignment but still the noise won't disappear if anything its gotten louder, also noticed that the steering wheel shakes even whilst cruising a 100 :/ kinda annoying. Another problem I noticed is that when I start the car and reverse out of the driveway and straighten my car I heard a knocking/rattling sound, only for a second or 2 and afterwards nothing, only happens after a cold start, seems to be coming from the LHS but not sure. I'm hoping its the just the wheel bearing but could it be something worse like the strut or something? Cheers guys

Well I cleaned what I thought was the actuator I assume we're talking about the same thing, sprayed wd40 in both hoses. could anyone kindly give or help me out with a how-to change diff oil?

Boost solenoid? As in the actuator? I cleaned that out day or purchase hahah. Is the diff oil change hard to do? Is there a how-to guide for that? Also is this braided turbo oil line http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121113420064?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 a good product? Or are there better and cheaper options out there.
