  1. haha $110,000 "for a quick sale"
  2. I find that very hard to beleive. There are plenty of posts on here that would refute this. Also plenty where lower powered Ts out gunned HSVs. With the Ts putting out so much low down grunt, they can usually shame many more fancied competition off the line. Which LS1 is it. If a GTS then 235 wouldn't be far over stock, while we know that 250rwkw Ts are threatening the 12s bracket. Also a 250rwkw T should be over the 600nm mark. As already stated, different dynos on different days, add in driver skills, etc. Too many variables. ← The LS1 was a VX SS with exhaust + extractors and EDIT, possibly an air filter. whereas the T only had an edit with possibly air filter (K&N, etc.) the race was also conducted whilst rolling. vx manual, xrT was auto. This is how I saw the race, but others may have performed otherwise.
  3. and I do realise that the VE is not an LS1, just giving an example
  4. Hi the power readings might be pretty close but you have to keep in mind that they are two very different cars and work differently. I know of a few friends, one with an LS1 the other with an xr6T where the T makes about 250rw and the ls1 about 235 and the LS1 wins hands down every race. just my thoughts, only way to find out is to give him a race. 5. I think that looks great. I see one exactly like that (minus the shaker) every day to school down milleara rd and it looks awesome in the flesh. enjoy!
  6. My bad, you stated it was auto so im guessing the 6SPD cheers
  7. I saw the same guy last night aswell ... about 3:30ish and was in a car behind him in the car park. the exhaust looked massive but ugly, didnt seem to suit the car. he also had the F6 badge on the back. do u know if it was a manual or the ZF 6 speed (considering BF) ?
  8. was the intercooler a direct fit? ie. no cutting, drilling, etc.?
  9. sorry about that guys ... I didnt mean "stripes" I meant "strips" like the ones that the Gt has around its front bumper fog lamps. Like what I have circled in the pic. The intercooler also seemed somewhat more noticeable
  10. One other thing, the front bumper was more like that of the GT bumper as it had the same fog lights with the two strips. Hope that gives a slightly better indication
  11. It might have just been the force 6, but I know for sure it wasnt a BOSS engine and it had the gauges mounted on the dash. It did cross my mind but I got caught up in abit of traffic and unfortunately didnt get the chance to take a snap ! but I can assure you that it looks the goods ... guess its only a matter of time before someone else spots one..hopefully with a camera in hand BOSE
  12. Hi guys, was driving towards highpoint shopping center down Milleara rd today and spotted and usual looking ford. Big 19's ... possibly 20's .... not so much like the current ones but a more silver rim ... had no spoiler on it not sure why ... the rear bumper was different, same kind of style but with more spokes comming through the mesh, if u get what I mean. the front bumper was also different. it also had the dealership number plates that kind of hang off the car with the 'typhoon' badge on the back and side door covered in black tape and he surely wasnt babying it around !! colour was red. and gotta say it looked IMMAC !!
  13. anybody know whats happening with melbourne fuel prices? I paid $1.16 on tuesday night........
  14. with running the 10psi custom tuned map ... say approx 240-260 rwkws .... what mods would be needed to strengthen the auto and keep it safe? BOSE
  15. Great results mate ..by the way .... have u given your mate in the LS1 a re-run? if yes ... what happened?
  16. ouchh .... gotta say thought .... that last pic make it look like abit of a BMW roadster

    Gen 4 Is Here

from memory, MOTOR ran a 13.85 with the SS 6.0L. not too sure about the mp/h
  19. these BF Typhoons are serious weapons!! congratz on the new found power! According to the graph your running ~ 13-14 psi, seems abit high for just an edit. do u know how much boost you were running prior to the edit ?? BOSE
  20. yeah sounds about right, my brothers getting between 250-350 km's per tank. Geez, heavy drinkers these LS1's. I thought it was because of the power they were making but it seemes like the ford turbos seem to be consuming alot less with equal or more power but I guess its upto the way you drive the thing aswell
  21. that's not a big cam.....if he thrashes it then of course it will use fuel, I wouldnt expect it would be a tuning problem if HPF did it, they have runs on the board with LS1s.Sounds like a problem with the right foot to me and if he is doing those speeds on public roads.....a wake up call might be in order ← private roads ofcourse.... but anyways, was just wanting to know if the ford turbos do push out high fuel consumption figures whilst making big power. thanks
  22. interesting, di fllipo exhaust and extractors, edit, and a pretty big cam (232/232). the 30L/100k is achieved whilst constant redline changes to speeds of close 2 200k was tuned at HPF by Rob himself. its a VY SS II
  23. Well as the title suggests .... what sort of fuel consumption are most of you guys getting with ~ 280-300 rwkw ?? my brothers got an LS1 with 290rwkw, babying the car around sees around 20 ltrs/100km but as soon as you begin to punish the car .... you see figures of 30-35ltrs/100km just wanted to know how the ford turbos go in comparison to the LS1
  24. So..... any results/progress as of yet???
  25. Surely that cant be right .... so in otherwords it took your sedan .5 a second to travel one car length at 115mph .... 184 km/h .... or 51 m/s ?? in half a second it would have travelled approx. 25m ... not 2.5-3m or whatever the length of the car is.
