  1. Just caught up on your thread puff, have to admire your dedication. Makes me feel better knowing how frustrating these turbo territory are to work on when I see what you have persisted threw with them.
  2. Good to hear,Thanks Puff.
  3. Engine sumps are back on...has anyone ever had a problem with excess silicone clogging up the oil pump pick up? I didnt go crazy with the stuff, there was about a 3mm bead across the surface. Just curious and a little concerned.
  4. I will,thanks.
  5. Thanks Guys I will be siliconing the bejesus out of it....the workshop that built the engine 18months ago did it as per workshop manual and it leaked from both front and rear half moon seals.
  6. how are you guys going about installing them, workshop manual shows that one dob of silicone is to be used in the centre of the seal. I wonder if it would be better to smear silicone all over the seal.
  7. Thanks Puff,I appreciate your help. I will give it a go and report Back.
  8. Ok thanks Puff. Will the cam gears move on me when I undo the chain,or should I just resest the cam timing to tdc and turn the engine until I know its right.
  9. Would I be better off buying that pump or doing it myself dollar wise.
  10. Have a look in the diy engine removal thread,I found an oil pump premade.
  11. Just seen these on ebay from intune motorsport XR6 Turbo oil pump fitted with 4340 billet gears, steel backing plate | eBay Any good or should I stay away?
  12. 🤣 im sure the scooter would have a turbo or 2 hanging of the side of it.
  13. ok,I figured there was abit involed... precision racing and atomic are charging around the $800 mark if you send them your pump. Thanks for the advice Puff, would you prefer me to PM you in future?
  14. do you modify the pump at all for flow?...or is at simple as just changing the gears and backing plate.
  15. Ok well engine is out. Pulled of the sump and timing cover, most of the leaks seem to have been coming from the half moon seals. Shame seeing the engine was rebuilt 18months ago.it has the ross pistons and spool rods with heavy duty valve springs. Not sure if I should do the oil pump gears,im only chasing 300awkw....but being the f6x variant im wondering if I should do them for resale value. Id prefere not to honestly. 16. do you send the oil pump away puff,or do you just put in the gears and backing plate yourself?
  17. Have been working on this slowly, still need to purchase an engine crane...have been keeping an eye out on marketplace. What's the best way to get to the top Bellhouse bolts...I remember last time I dropped the transmission mount and it tilted the engine enough backwards to get access to them, being the territory is awd makes it interesting. Another thing I remember is the rear of the engine has a sensor and wire going to it, last time I completely ripped it of not knowing it was there.
  18. Good advice guys, thank you. Started on this today,I pulled the balancer off and took the radiator out. I remember last time damaging the radiator with the balancer. Do you guys mark the flywhel to the converter?
  19. ok thanks gents.
  20. it is a awd version.
  21. Hi guys I am looking at pulling the motor out of the turbo territory, oil leaks everywhere....I have pulled out an engine of a falcon bf many years ago. Anything else I need to keep in mind with the difference of it being a territory and a zf?
  22. They put a vacuum canister in for my stage 5 crow cams...did the job and a very simple fix. Before that when the idle was low, pulling up to a car Infront of me was dangerous, braking suffered under the right conditions.
  23. My thoughts Aswell, thank you sir.
  24. All finished. Running on 7psi spring pressure at the moment,(14psi tune)car feels good and no additional lag going from the territory 0.63 exhaust housing to the external gated 1.06. The pulsar chra has a noticable spooling noise, sounds great. Gave the exhaust manifold a little clean up as the casting had a few possible areas where the metal could chip off and damage the new core. Sent from my SM-A336E using Tapatalk
  25. Hi All. The previous owner of my turbo territory has had 650cc injectors fitted, will I need to go to a 1000cc injector for 300awkw on 98... or will the 650cc injectors be fine? Not interested in e85 or more power than 300awkw.
