It's funny though in the photos that f6 looks quite good with swift although in my opinion in real life on the dealers show room floor it looked different or am I imagining things haha? Oh and come to think of it I'm 99% sure that f6 in the photo is the one I was looking at buying tbh sales man at peter warren was saying they had trouble moving it (apparently)
-
Tbh when looking for my f6 ended up buying It in vixen. Peter warren ford had a f6 in that swift Green colour for a few k cheaper then what I paid for my f6 also a few less Klm on it as well but tbh I hated it couldn't bring my self to buy it personal preference I guess.

I know hey real first world problems right there but it's funny this age old debate usually stems from cars that belong to rival brands where comparing a ford with a ford shows just how highly we rate them

Barra with big turbo is great but idk that 5.0 sounds amazing but all in all there both crazy weapons in there own right

Hey guys id be up for a cruise sometime it be good to meet some of you guys and check out eachothers cars have a chat etc so yea id deffs be up for it sometimes I only ever drive my car to work and back these days gets sad lol. Tbh I think down south of Sydney is a slightly better drive then up North but either way it's all fun

In the grand scheme of things it just makes you realise just how lucky we are sometime. In my occupation I deal with sick and injured people everyday and even though they have it hard the are some of the nicest people I've ever met and appreciate the small things in life and these people are the ones who are first to help you when they can even though they probably need the help more then you. So the thing that pi$$ed me of tonight was the scumbag who abused the 14yr old at maccas bcoz there wasn't enough ice In his drink grow up and take a look at yourself you fool

So guys I own a mildly modified fg f6 old school mate came past after work he has the gt 335 both zf autos we got to talking an the inevitable happened I took his car for a wrap and he took mine well we both got back and we both had the same reaction wow lol . Being an f6 owner I was really really happy with the soundtrack of the gt and power delivery was a lot more linear (as expected) I'm still not totally decided on the bonnet bulge and the big spoiler but that all comes down to personal preference. Il be honest I love my f6 but the sound of the Gt I feel makes it worth owning based on that alone. He said my f6 is a great car and it's midrange torque is ridiculous he also says that he thinks the front of the f6 is more appealing with it's intercooler showing off behind the front bar. I guess what I'm trying to say is I think there both amazing cars for what they are and that I don't think one is better then the other I think there equally as good and both have specific strengths and weaknesses if only I could afford both ahah. I know this isn't a really indepth comparison but just wanted to share the experience. (Ps another strength of the gt is it's more forgiving on an unsuspecting driver power comes in smoother and back end wasn't as prone to flying sideways as in the f6 mind you sometimes that's a great bit of fun though

How about either a plazmaman or process west turbo side intake battery relocation etc ? :)
-
My mate in his fg small turbo made 327rwkw tuner said that's Maxed out this is with injectors, cooler, dump pipe, cat and intake so that ballpark figure seems about right also as we all know dyno figures vary so the 327 on that particular dyno may be slightly less on another.
-
Hmmm it's funny how inconsistent peoples reviews of workshops are not just here mind you comings from v8 Holden's the tuner I used I found great others wernet so happy but tbh with the amount of money we pay to get these things tuned I don't think it's to much to expect good customer service. The workshop I used to tune my f6 let me tell you won't be returning there next time it's a shame coz the tune feels great but the deceptiveness and workshop practices just ruined it :/ I think always go with your gut feeling I should of stuck with spiro the first time But other tuner was 250 cheaper and seemed to have a reasonable reputation ah well you live and learn and these things aren't the type of thing to go cheap on

Well unfortunately I don't get to take my fg out for leisurely drives as much as I would like To but on the odd occasion me and the mates cruise down to Woolongong from Sydney for a feed and then head back up usually head down there along the scenic route. Use to drive to Liverpool kks for a meet and a chill out but to many d*ckheads there on a Friday/Saturday night these days.

Hey gunna I'm with you mate if I wasn't in a different state id deffs give pitlane a shot with my car I havnt been on here long at all and ratter has already helped me out with some advice so can't complain with that at all and you know what the more I think about it the more I think of taking a week or 2 off having a small break and making the drive down to pitlane for my next and hopefully final round of mods
-
Nws so il just fly over speed humps driveways at 50kmph then car won't scrape suspension travels with speed as said and no it's not the height of my car it's at standard height it's Sydney's s#it roads and driveways that are ridiculously sloped

Awesome il check my roster tommorrow as long as I'm not on shift il be there be good to meet some of you guys -
What pi$$es me off the most is when you crawl over a drive way or ditch on a street at literally 1kmph and something still manages to scrape the ground brings me almost to tears with anger and frustration
-
Thanks for your advice mate appreciate it I guess il just leave it until I'm ready for the next round of mods and do it all then. Thanks

Hey ratter probably the reason why I'm saying it felt like a money making exercise probably wasn't based just on the fact that he wanted it on the dyno again (he said 99% should be ok but wants it on there) I guess this is reasonable and I'm maybe just abit disappointed with what happened when there was originally told my quote was for stainless dump and cat (was silly didn't get it in writing) when picking car up saw mild steel stuff and was told this is what I was quoted for secondly mechanics apprentice gave it a thrashing taking it up the road which I bit my tongue about and thirdly was told I needed a new panel filter k&n and was chared 160 for it which is a big mark up (I understand that workshops have to make a profit and am all for that) but 160 for the filter when your already paying the original quoted price I'm not a tite person I pay what people ask but I found it unfair. Also was told that my work was delayed coz stock dump pipe wouldn't come off tbh I sorta didn't believe it after what happened and asked his mechanic if the dump pipe bolts gave him trouble he said what trouble it came off easily we were just held up. Either way I must give give credit where it's due tune feels great and car feels good. Just really disappointed in the business practices and I won't be back it's a shame. I know you may be sceptical of me being I'm a new member but I'm being honest and I guess they left abit of a sour taste in my mouth
-
Hey wilco yea I attempted to do this he said to me that it would need a couple of power runs and maybe will be ok may not be I sort of found that answer abit vague and tbh I'm not tite but I sort of saw that as a money making exercise

So guys I'm gonna have to ask the question from what we've all seen of what the new xr8s gonna look like with all nostalgia aside which would you prefer an fg gt with the 5.0 or the new xr8? I'd have to pick the gt and in all honesty yea I'm Sure when the mustang gets here it's gonna be a great car and they look mint but it still won't replace our home grown cars :/
-
Hey guys when I had my fg f6 in for it's first round of mods I had a 4 inch dump and high flow cat fitted but retained the standard cat back my question is I'm now considering fitting a 4 inch catback for abit of a better note do you guys think the car will need a retune? Or should it be ok thanks guys
