Well done mate that ute really needed some Attention and you saved it love your work. But on a sidenote who coughs up the cash for an f6 ute then treats it the way the previous owner did . Yea stock cat back really flow well on these fgs although sometimes the dead quietness gets abit boring for me gonna have to rip it off soon I think. Nonetheless great car mate enjoy.

Hmmm the auto can get abit boring at times but when you line up next to a quick manual car and you keep that boost up going through the gears you realise just what a gem that zf box is dosent matter how competent you are with a manual the zf does it better IMO very good and intelligent box congrats and enjoy

When you go through drive through and order food you go to the window to collect it and they repeat what you ordered and you trust that it's all in the bag you get home and it's not what you ordered grrrrrr

A Sydney tune shop and thanks for the advice and yea quote is on an xforce catback Tuner says they are bagged out but really aren't that bad at all.

Is an auto and yea tuner said Itl probs need a rebuild in near future have factored that in

Tuner what he's asking for is pretty much no more then what I could buy the parts brand new for.

Also to the guys that are saying drop in system is overkill I agree but may want to go e85 in future also tuner says they are a better option then surge tank due to less chance of defects no excessive sound from the 044 whirring away also. And tbh have priced up both the drop in system is not much more expensive over a surge tank at all these days. Don't want to name the tuner on public forum coz I've pretty much put the price up and not to sure if hed be happy with that being up here but he is well regarded on this forum. What makes you say it was done on the cheap? I thought at the time 310rwkw-320rwkw which is what tuner said car would make would be enough power and didn't want anymore but as usual I've gotten use to it and want more. At the time tuner was honest and said thts all I need for low 300's

Hey guys my f6 is currently sitting at 315rwkw with just a dump pipe cat and tune Have been quoted slightly over 11k for the following * PW stage 2 cooler kit * battery relo and turbo side intake *finish of the exhaust with stainless catback * 1000cc injectors kpm * kpm twin 300 bolt In fuel system * wastegate porting 12psi actuator * zf trans service with syntrans oil * valve springs and retainers * cold thermostat * turbo smart Bov * custom tune Now I think the quote is quite a fair price for what is going to be done and I'm assuming the car will make close to the 380rwkw mark my question is guys this is a lot of money for me 11k I can afford it thts not the issue the issue is I know the car will feel different but will it be 11k better if you know what I mean . I know it may sound silly but I'm just scared I'm Gonna drop 11k and then not be so impressed with the result. I guess what I'm asking is Guys has anyone had similar power to what I currently have then gone up to what I'm looking at getting done and would anyone care to comment? thanks for the input guys. I guess this question sort of also stems from The fact that a few people have sort of hinted to me that my car won't be much faster due to traction issues etc but part of my motivation for the mods is the sound and aggressive note and really the cooler has to be done as power really sucks on a hot day.

Hey guys had my car tuned allittle while back as well as adding a highflow dump and cat (fg f6) had it serviced yesterday and mechanic said to me that my engine oil smelled allilte to much like Fuel suggesting the car is running allittle to rich he suggested I take it back to the tuner. Whereas the other mechanic at the shop said that tuners tend to Run turbo charged cars slightly rich for instances of Cold nights etc where the car will make slightly more boost and that it's nothing to worry about.(as we all know we don't want a lean condition) Car drives well, economy similar to stock maybe slightly better and exhaust tip isn't to badly sooted up. What do you guys think? Thanks I think it's fine but just wanted your opinions

In my opinion (in no way is it an experts) I don't really think that's repairable had a similar level of damage on another car of mine a few years back panel shop and insurance bloke said it needed a new front bar. Oh and I know money can be an issue sometimes but if you can avoid it please don't get an aftermarket bar you have a genuine fpv idk in my opinion don't cheapen your car if you know what I mean keep an eye out on eBay as others have said genuine bars come up from time to time as wel as gumtree

Welcome champ and yea as panda said whack A cooler on it I've still got stock cooler on my tuned f6 cold days are great hot days forget it massive loss of power. But they are great cars enjoy it

Hey champ really depends on what your idea of a fortune is. Best bang for buck mod would be a custom Tune. In addition this other items like a high flow cat, dump pipe intercooler and fuel injectors would be your next port of call just remember if your gonna tune your car to add the hardware first otherwise adding it later on will require a retune

Yea mate your right there are some Thugs out there but tbh I don't mind paying after all there called businesses not charity's but don't like being ripped off yea I've decided to leave it for now wait until I get some more cash together then do some more mods and make full advantage out of paying for a tune I think il just either see spiro this time or make the trip and see mic at pitlane. Either way I'm Gonna get in on the heat exchanger buy through pitlane very shortly as well someone like them I have no worry giving a few dollars to. funny thing is and no I won't say on a public forum who I felt did me wrong but they have a pretty decent name and rep and tbh I was surprised :/ but hey such is life. 1995 BMW 325i (manual)- great first car Cbf paying to keep it on the road over 300ks was well maintained age was beginning to get the better of it R33 gtr 350awkw - absolute beast (got stolen) living in Western Sydney with this type of car became a big pain in the neck (guys that live out this way would understand) VE e2 maloo - again a great car real head turner (more then my current f6 tbh) only had mild mods exhaust intake tune gave it to my brother he's loving it now (he got it dirt Cheap of me) brotherly love lol Fg f6 (315 rwkw ) best car I've owned tbh goes like the clappers and can be real Docile as well cops never pick on it either unlink the gtr ( on a side note the gtr out handled the lot but there heavy on maintenance great car yes but not as good as there made out to be some May say what makes you fit to comment on them I think I am coz I've actually owned one day to day for 2 years that's how
