Didn't really need anymore power- didn't use what it had anyway. I just wanted it too sound a bit better, hence exhaust and intake. Exhaust sounds great, intake a bit of a waste in hindsight but too late to worry about swapping that back.
  2. Had a good trawl through here but any thoughts on how this setup would go for an FG sedan? Work Emotion D9R 19x9.5 +38 245/35 tyres
  3. Been through the exact same dilemma, just did a few more mods so now at 385kw at the wheels. Decided to try good tyres before I stumped for a full set of wheels so put some PSS on the rear and they have made a massive difference. Of course 275 would be even better but its gone from breaking traction at the slightest whiff of throttle to holding pretty well most of the time. I quite like the mk2 F6 wheels in any case.

Massive improvement with the Michelins on the rear, I'm thinking good tyres on the stock rims are as useful as average tyres in 275 for traction. This thing goes hard now, can't imagine the 450kw+ range is like to drive!

Went in for a bit more work this week- Herrod airbox and 4 inch xforce turbo back. Now making about 385kw at the hubs. Exhaust sounds awesome, no drone at all. To be honest airbox seems a bit of a waste now as can't really hear it. As for tyres about to put some Michelin Pilot super sports on. Still running the same tyres as the car has done less than 10,000kms in 2 years, they are still average traction even less now obviously and scary in the wet.
  6. Is anyone running 9" front and back? Would the 265 that the sprint models use fit onto the front? Looking at new wheels and thinking it would be handy to be able to rotate them... Thanks
  7. Thanks guys. As far as modding stock exhaust was thinking centre/ rear muffler removal, if sh*t then can always fit a cat back. If the dump makes a bit more noise might try that first, was surprised how much difference changing the cat only made. I'll give Nick a call.
  8. Can anyone recommend a good exhaust shop, preferably NOR? I've changed the cat on mine a while ago but getting bored so looking for a bit more noise. Hoping there is somewhere out there where the guys will tell you straight up whether its worth modding the stock exhaust or actually know some good aftermarket options. Thanks
  9. Any advice as to how these would fit on an FG sedan? And colour wise on an F6 in Petroleum? Thanks Genuine VOLK RAYS TE37 Wheels 19" 5/114.3 + NITTO INVO TYRES
  10. Hi- you're in Perth? Where did you get these from and what tyres you running? Thanks

So I'm thinking I'm going to need better tyres and/or wider rear wheels. Traction control lighting up in 3rd gear, drove in the wet the other day which was actually scary in a fun way. What you would do with more rwhp on stock size tyres I don't know. Its got Federal 595 on there which I thought were a decent tyre, what is everyone else using?
  12. I have the boxes they are SSL, slightly lower than I was expecting particularly the front. Happy with the look though, glad I didn't go SSSL rear think that would have been too low IMO
  13. Found this thread useful when picking my springs, this is on SSL all around with Bilstein shocks. Only just fitted so will probably settle a touch lower.

Couple pics. Amazed at how deeper the exhaust sounds with just a cat, also more intake with higher boost and alu pipes as mentioned. Very happy with gains for the $$.

Just had the call from Monsta Torque- 356kw from their stage 1 package plus high flow cat and PW stage 2 stealth cooler. Picking up this avo so mildly excited to say the least, was a lot more than I was expecting and possibly too much as now I'm worried about breaking tail shafts, etc. Stock run was around 280kw. Dyno sheet on their FB page, not sure how to post up here.
