    Ttg 335Awkw

Good to hear its heading in the right direction now after lots of headf*cks.

    Cms Fg Xr6T

Superb craftmanship is all I can say.
  4. Good job there Newy, Whats it like to drive now with the new turbo setup?
  5. I would still use what ever brand spring that your budget and psi level requires. In this trade and many others it doesnt matter how expensive the product is there will always be a percentage of failure. Unfortunately for Gaz it was those springs but as I said other brands have had them too (luck of the draw).
  6. Ok , Allen w ebay,Plazmaman,Performance springs,Rapid springs and most likely but only a guess is intune springs. As far as I know Atomic source his own and crow springs do their own. Gaz is the only one to have a failure that I know of in those springs but others have had failures with most other brands as well . Havent heard of Nizpro springs failing, but just going soft and loosing seat pressure mind you that was a while ago and not heard anything for a while.
  7. Plenty of people have used those valvesprings and at that price are good value. These are also sold and packaged under a few different names in the retail industry for quite a while.
  8. Geez Eric your everywhere. Welcome to the forum and thanks for getting the Ford software moving in the right direction.
  9. Their hybrid and tune with their injectors and georges exhaust is sweet sounding, good on fuel and very impressive on the street and most likely the strip( if you can get traction) You wont be dissapointed.
  10. Yep. Mine was a mamba one to suit ba.Took a month and no turbo after purchase due to out off stock (apparently). When it did arrive it was to suit fg.After much f*cking around with front housing, actuator and bracket and engine mount, yes engine mount to clear the actuator rod (.7 front cover) I got it all up and running. Even though this was supplied with a large w/gate flap 40 or 42mm it overboosted like a mofo no matter what I did with tha actuator or tune. It was inevitable in the end and the turbo had to come back off and I had to port the housing for a better flow path which I did. Turbo itself performs well but was no worth the headf*ck I went through. You are better off with garret gtx or one of Blue Powers new modded turbos. Been in a fg with one recently and they are very immpresive all round turbo.
  11. Both you guys need to be more " INTUNE'' to whats going on
  12. Ok lets just say TUNE is part of their name but it does not start with it.
  13. By the time you get 400 fwkw or 340ish rwkw on either car you wont beat the sound of the holden (if that's what your into) but the Ford will win hands down on the strip, street, stealth and fuel economy. Plus that midrange torque that is pure bliss imo.
  14. PM him and I am sure he will pass it on, but I think most on here have a fair idea anyway.
  15. Fins still look allright. You could still use that turbo core without any problems as long as it spins freely. Whom did you buy it from ? PM me if you want.
  16. Nasty bracket alright, I could think of other names for it .
  17. Should be a bolt in procedure. you may have to plug up a water line on the firewall that is used on the turbo and not the n/a. you will have to get an n/a exhaust and air box/pipe setup. All the wiring will be basically the same, Turbo have some extra for the boost solenoid which goes into the 3rd plug on the pcm which n/a doesnt have.N/a also have a vac hose going to the broadband manifold to open the internal blades. If you leave the boost solenoid plug connected to the wiring it shouldnt bring up any codes. The turbo pcm should run the n/a engine fine.
  18. What did it end up costing at dtm to do the trans, Was it drive in drive out or just the auto build ?
  19. Waste gate actuator still in place, Yes. If you want to remove the actuator put compressed air in the actuator hose but at only a low level of psi to crack the waste gate open, and with the dump pipe off you can see to clip and remove it then release the air pressure.

    My Build

Playin for keeps this guy. Cant wait to see how it turns out. Lots of great things in this build being done and I hope you get the results you are after.
  21. He can pull something in half an hour, But its not springs.
  22. 3 hours would be for a guy that does this daily and that would not be many. 5 to 6 would be fair and it is a *beep* of a job even with the right tool. They earn their money. Its not like a 186 holden!
  23. Newy, How did you go with the Mantic clutch and what material were the linings. Has it taken much abuse and held up well previously ?
  24. Starting to relate to me Luke. Getting old, although I think I am a quarter of a century up on you maybe less.
