  1. That's a great result for a new car that is stock. Many moons ago you had to spend a lot of coin to go that quick, Congrats on your new purchase.
  2. Welcome Joe, Take your car to ford and get them to look at it.The FG range can have some weird electrical gremlins at times.
  3. Crazyxa it ended up that it did have a flat battery, but for no apparent reason eg lights left on ect. The battery had been replaced 6 months earlier and has been charged and tested as ok as has the charging system but this vehicle has had a few electrical issues causing ECT faults causing loss of throttle whilst driving as well. Throttle body has been replaced but it still has random ECT fault on the dash, Mostly on cold start up . Car has come home back to me from melb with the ETC on the dash but has not played up since.
  4. Na xr6 is usually a black caliper for premium pbr brakes I think blue were on BA F6 from memory.
  5. The optional PBR upgrade rotors are 325mm x 32mm thick and the caliper colour on a xr6 is usually black. 322mm x 28mm front rotor is what is fitted to the BF.

    Nice ride and good job from the Nizpro boys but if it just put out 547rwks on the dyno then id say its run in.
  7. Kevs kit is good but as Mick said its a pain when it comes to service time. On my next one I will put the battery in the boot .
  8. No it wasnt, Mystery to me who it was.Trans was replaced while it was at the caryard when they had it and the original one failed.Seen the ones you speak of advertised,are they not worth enquiring about? Pm if you like.

Only had first and third left in the auto.Managed to baby it back to where I got it from.They said the trans has warranty but will have to inspect it first,Got a ride back home the next day and will just have to wait and see what happens.Didnt even give the car a bootfull I just wanted to make the 500k trip home.
  10. When you go 500ks to melboune and pick up a s/h xrt that has just had a rebuilt trans fitted and start heading home at 110kph with the cruise on the freeway, get 89ks and the trans sh*ts itself. f*ck me!
  11. It will get rid of a few front end knocks at the bare minimum and worth doing for the cost.
  12. Seen that car when it was for sale, Looked to be in great condition but not my cuppa tea. The changes to the vehicle now that you have done make it look great and the future mods will finish it off nicely. Looks 100% better. Keep up the good work!

  14. Most tuners do not remove the speed limiter or modify it for a increase due to liabilty reasons. That said some may if requested at their discretion only
  15. Does the vacuum block also come with the plenum ?
  16. You dont need high temp paint for engine parts unless you are doing exhaust manifold or extractors. The rest can be done with normal enamel paint.
  17. As above, You may have a problem with the slide on that caliper.Had one binding up at work last week with that issue.
  18. No probs, I will pass the info on to them and see how they go.
  19. I know the batteries are a problem on these and the alternator at times but if the battery is ok is there any other cause for immobilising? And no it doesnt need a diffbush either .
  20. Have a 2010 fg xr6 that wont start and comes up as immobilised. Whats needed to overcome this to get it to start? Its a friends car and its 500km away from me and any tech help would be appreciated. Cheers
  21. No such thing as capped price serviicing on these vehicles, Take it to people that are Pros on them and know what they are doing. These car are similar to some women,Very high maintenance!

  23. Lots of threads on here about diff bush problems. Clunks in the driveline are the signs of it starting to fail. A visual inspection will reveal an appearence of torn rubber in the bush around the bolt or may look like the rubber is folded over the edge. I use the Super Pro brand and have great results with them,Other brands are available but transfer more vehicle noise and vibration through the car because of the harder compound of the material they use in their bushes.
