Well I think I have finally recovered from walking around S/Hill for 5 hours in 30+ degrees!!!! Thanks to all who came along for a run - special thanks to Dazz for taking us on a 'scenic' route including some very steep hills, some great single lane strecthes where we could get up some speed ....... and the couple of off road u-turns :lol: I hope everyone had a great in whatever they ended up doing!! Yes - I got to pan for gold (and got about 5 cents worth)!!!! Had one of those 'old fashioned photos' taken with my sister, both dressed up as .... how should I put it?? ..... working women .... needless to say, she won't let me post it on the forum!!!! :( Anyway, I had a great time. There may have only been half a dozen of us but I still enjoyed our mini convoy!! See you all on the next one!! Cheers, Meg

Excellent!!! The first post has been updated. I am a bit unsure of how long it will take to get from F/Gate to B/Marsh so I have left the times the same. This will give us almost 2 hours ..... it may be a good idea for the B/Marsh guys to arrive a bit earlier in case we rock into town earlier than expected. See you all tomorrow for cruisin, gold panning and of course the V8's

mercturbo ..... what meeting point will you be at??? & Noddy - can you confirm if you are still keen?? It is looking like we will be able to skip the 2nd meeting point at this stage and go straight from F/Gate to B/Marsh. This will enable us to get there earlier and leave earlier to watch the V8's!!! Once we are all confirmed, I will update the times on the first post ...... be sure to check it before Sunday!!! F/Gate time won't change but I expect we will be arriving in B/marsh earlier than first expected (sorry Dazz, you will have to get out of bed by mid morning :lol: ) As for the timing of the return trip ... Let's just decide once we get there!!

We need more people!! Let's all put the word out to everyone ... we are running out of time!!! We should be aiming for at least 10 cars!! (... where are the people from last time .... richdave, deek, geea ......???)

The date is finalized - we are sticking to the 30th .... the only thing not finalized is how we are going to see the end of the V8 racing!! We can sort that out between now and then. I will just be heading to a local pub/sports bar.

Going from the 3 meeting points and departure times, I don't expect we will arrive at S/Hill till just before lunch. If anyone has been to S/Hill before, they will know it takes hours to go around the place (especially those with kids!) and at the admission prices they charge, I for one want to see everything (excpet go down in those mines!!). I don't think we will be finished by 2.30 which is why the local pub may be a good idea for those interested in seeing the outcome of the V8's towards the end of the day?? If everyone is going to pike on this cruise coz of the V8's, I suggest we all just pack our bags and cruise to Eastern Creek instead!!! :lol: :o

Where is everyone who was keen the last two times we tried to organize this .. ??? I am gonna get on your back!! Come on - we want HUGE numbers to cruise out of '03. You don't have to come into S/Hill - you can choose to go to a pub in Ballarat to watch the V8's and then cruise back if that takes your fancy!! Whatever!! Let's just get a nice, big convoy happening!!

Yeah - the Mustang has a note all of its own and how sweeeeeet!!! The 'other' XRT (the BLK one!!) has also had the centre muffler removed ... amongst other things ...... yet yours sounded much different. Must be the ute/sedan difference. Simple mod for the sedan with a great result .... time to call Knox Ford I think (when the other half isn't watching over me!!!!) :lol:

OK then - we will leave it as 30th November ..... let's just hope we all agree to be Mexicans for the day!!!! We need more people .... come on everyone!!! (How good is this smilie ... ) :lol:

The answer is simple - ROOF RACKS!!!! Stick 'em on the roof. No more worries about messing up the interior of the car and they will love it ....... just don't go under any low bridges!!!

I heard some beautiful exhaust notes on our VIC Warnambool cruise. There was one XRT in particular, I think it was the Phantom sedan with the number plate TXR6BA (??I think??) and it sounded awesome .... I don't know who it was and didn't get the chance to find out. If someone knows who this is (NSW plates) can you ask them to post their exhaust mods??

$HIT - I am beginning to think this cruise is doomed!!! :( Just finished watching the Expensive Daewoo onslaught on tv ..... the V8 championship is sooooo close and will all come down to the final round at Eastern Creek on .... yes, November 29th & 30th. I am not going to change this trip title to 'Mk4' but I have pushed the date out a week to Sunday December 7th. Can all those who have put their hand up already to attend, please confirm the new date is still cool. For those who haven't yet signed up ..... you now have more notice so C'MON!!!! I just want to go panning for gold!!! :tears:

I have also heard (thanks to richdave) that you can also get these vouchers off e-bay - but you will need to be quick before bidding time runs out!!! :D
