  1. There are even posts of yours saying to go see them other threads along with about 50 other people.
  2. Yeah pretty annoyed to be honest. I called herrodmotorsport (their supplier for the software they use) and they laughed as well, said tell them you bought from us and if they still don't want to use them tell them to call us. After I said that they went "oh ok, normally these are chinese ones that leak and have lots of trouble with them", not that confidence inspiring as they are extremely common and afaik no one in china has managed to copy bosch injectors to date. If they weren't halfway through installing other bits I would have gone somewhere else.
  3. Ok they thought they were Chinese knock offs which they have had trouble with before. All sorted.
  4. So took my car to get tuned with ID1000 and they are refusing to fit them as they said they leak because of the spacers they come with. I bought them from an ID supplier and are the real deal. Has anyone heard of this?
  5. Well as far as KPM is concerned there is no competition and people are buying the product. I'll see how I go with a pump and the stock swirl pot anyway.
  6. People don't make parts because for a warm fuzzy feeling, they make them to fill a niche market and make money, same with every industry. It is good to be critical, if people take it personally they are missing the point.
  7. Completely agree, $1700 is not good value regardless of how solid the product is. Why can't you just make a simple bracket and put your fuel pump in a metal bucket with a few holes drilled at the bottom? What is the breakdown of that $1700? Sure there was no doubt R&D put into it, but I don't really think a product as simple as this had more than 2-3 iterations so it could not have been that much. How many percent is the markup?
  8. Sure, but if you clutch kick the car the instantaneous force is might higher than any generated by the engine torque when the clutch is already engaged. Most clutches die from abuse eg dropping it at high speed and high revs.
  9. I'm trying to compare but I don't really know what I'm talking about, hence I asked you. Other than the bleeder being included is the kit basically the same, or are there other differences?
  10. Out of that list what does your kit have that the NPC kit does not have?
  11. Any pictures of what the KPM product actually looks like? Curious how it differs from the stock swirl pot.
  12. I would like to see this data as if true that is a pretty good sales pitch. What is the KPM intake solution and how much is it?
  13. It should go to the tank, it just may be easier to plumb it back to the surge tank.
  14. Surge tank especially but for example lots of people have problems with their fuel boiling when they use a 044 and sit around idling at the lights in summer. A 460 could have similar issues at half tank, look at the litres per minute they flow, it doesn't take long to pump the entire tank through the 100c engine bay. Unless the BF/FG reduces pump voltage at idle/cruise, I know some cars ECUs do this. Does anyone know?
  15. But if I'm not using the extra flow I'm just cooking my fuel for no reason, it is probably also louder. Every options has cons as well which should be looked at.
  16. How did it survive that? Was it just massively pulling timing?
  17. Well aware of dynos reading differently, heinrich runs his in 8F I'm pretty sure so expecting to subtract 40 rwkw to get the real figure. I used to see between 235 and 265 rwkw on my old car depending on which place we tweaked the tune on, just used it as a baseline and nothing else.
  18. I'll put a walbro 255 in it before I get it tuned. The money wasn't the issue (what is another $300??) but more I don't like just putting parts in for sh*ts and giggles unless I know they are actually needed. Cheers for the info.
  19. So people saying they are making 320-350 on stock fuel pumps, what do you make of that?
  20. Not all have recommended pumps to be upgraded, and I've had inconsistent feedback on when a surge tank is needed hence the thread.
  21. Either the pump is the problem or the swirl pot is, which is it? I find that very hard to believe.
