Yeah I'll check this O2 sensor possibility out ASAP. And I'll definitely check out CMS. Prestons isn't too far from me (I'm actually much closer to Livo than Parra) I never bought the car for 'economy' but I'd like it to be a little more economical. If not I'm still happy!!

Hey guys I've had my manual '09 FG XR6T for about a month now and I have noticed that my avg fuel economy is really bad. it has 90K on the clock and I'm averaging 16.8L/100 This is easy city driving and rarely going over 2.5k rpm I was wondering what mods I could do to drop that number because im only getting about 350km from a full tank Cheers guys

Haha all good mate! thanks for the offer. Ford had it today and said it was completely normal clutch noise. I think I can trust the guy because he's my brother in laws mate and not part of the dealership who offered me my warranty. Does it have a twin plate? or just the F6?

I'm in western Sydney (Parramatta area) Taking it to Thompson Ford late this week I have heard that aftermarket bushes and flywheel make the sound less noticable. I almost bought the nolathane bushes yesterday!!

No I haven't yet. I am taking it to another Ford dealer later this week (my brother in law is mates with the service manager there) and I'll get his opinion. But by the responses I've been getting it sounds normal.

Yeah, I've tried driving it a little differently (Well as best I could) and you have to get gear changes and friction point & throttle perfect and it wont make the sound.. Just frustrating to hear it.. I'm glad there's no massive mechanical issue..

Yes that's exactly what is sounds like! I thought I had stuffed something already! Well I'll try the sound deadening and see if that makes me feel any better otherwise I'm going to take it bak to Ford and see if they can do anything Do you know why it makes that sound? Is it a clutch or gearbox noise specifically?

Haven't heard anything about the flywheel being defective on any of the forums, its coming from the front as well so I guess I've ruled out the bushes.. I have been looking for a while now and apparently they all make clunking noises.. but I didn't think it was that loud or surprising

Hey Guys! I have just bought myself an 09 XR6T Manual and I am quite new to Fords so I was hoping to get a little bit of advice! After driving the car for a week or so I have noticed that when the clutch engages there's an awful clunking noise that accompanies it. (which I didint hear when I took it for a test drive) This is happening even when I am not moving, if the car is running and I pump the clutch in an out whilst in neutral it clunks on the way out just after where friction point would be but this does not happen when the car is off. I have searched the forum and haven't found a post resembling my issue and I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this before? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys

If you're in NSW you can't register a re-birthed car anymore. I think best bet is to check if its straight and all of the welding if you're not in NSW.
