I reckon that you could get that vixen red f6 typhoon here in SA (go to carpoint and search for it) for under 30K right now, even b4 orion comes out.. that's if you want a vehicle with chips all over it, after is has been trashed on a farm by a 22yo, and is comprised of about 13 different colours..

Hey guys, quick update. My vehicle was fixed instantly (full day), despite being told that there may be a delay in ordering the part. It sounds as though they were prepared for the replacement of the starter switch, but who cares, done and fixed now. Hopefully this one lasts more than a year and a bit.

Apparently, NO dealer in Adelaide has a starter switch (All Jarvis and Maughan Thiems). Hence it has to be ordered.

Part of the lovely service that comes standard with any ford. Its not until you need a claim that they break em, hence my vehicle is totally stock, apart from tint which was done by the dealer. Guess I just picked the wrong time of the year for this to happen..

Hey mate, no they just need their FPV elec for warrenty purposes im guessing. Not to actually do the job. Looks like the EF is gonna get a nice run..

I think that all of the features the Force 6 gets should have been standard in all FPVs anyway. Performance wheel, memory seating with more adjustments, options of leather colours etc etc. I would like one, but will never own one. G

Hey Guys, I am going to cut a long story short, really short. I have a F6 Typhoon. The stupid gimmicky starter button on the thing has jammed in place in the in position. I have called to RAA, and he informed me that at least the car has a mechanism to switch of the starter if the button is continually pushed (good thing as I had to drive it home from where I was (country), quite a distance from my home) and that there wasn’t nothing more he could do, apart from tell me to go to my local friendly ford dealer. Here we go I thought. So today rang the friendly dealer, and they informed me that there will be no electrician in until Tuesday (A bit late as I am going to my holiday place- with the boat and back tonight), and even then, they will need to “Assess” the situation before they can even order in a new starter and long story short, I will be driving around until mid January with the starter pushed in, no windows whilst driving, no radio, no a/c etc etc. Although they warned me I should not be driving my vehicle until it is assessed my their electrician.. Which they cant to until my holidays are over.. Why is EVERYTHING at our dealers so difficult? So not happy. Why bother with the stupid damn button if it is causing problems, although I have not had any issues with the button to date. Anyone else had starter/button issues? G

Why suprised bout the braking, the R8 has 365x32mm 4 pots at the front, and 350x26mm 4 pots at the rear, with 275 tyres also at the rear end.. Actually I think its time FPV put some 275s on the back of their cars as standard also..

So the BFF6 that was the performance car of the year just ran 0.4 seconds faster down the quarter. Imagine what that would have looked like a few months ago when it was over half a second faster than the top notch HSV DTS thing.. that's worth like 20K more! I think HSV paid some dough to quote a slower time then.. Ah whatever, Im happy with my F6, and wouldnt have it any other way, apart from a new one for the GF or something..

Is this true? Every spec I've seen says Xr6T weighs 1690-1720kg, F6 1805kg! How can all that additional equipment, bigger wheels, brakes, sound system only add 20kg. Anyway irrespective of weights, do you notice any difference. Motor and Wheels are always saying how you can feel the extra lard of the Xr8 over Xr6T and my understanding was XR8 and F6 are similar weight. The suspension package I ran in the T I now run in the F6, so handling is identical except for the difference in tyres. ← Ok guys, you've convinced me to have a look at the BFPhoon. I like to take things out my cars anyway, so that weight penalty won't last long. Now to choose between XR6T/F6 or STi Impreza. Don't laugh. ← Completely different cars mate, do you have a family? Exactly what I was after, thanks again! So isolated from the engine, that is completely disconnected isnt it? That is what I was told, as just switched off from the bottle wasnt enough..

So what is the law in regard to nitrous on the street, I thought it must be just turned off from the bottle, but was told only a few ago that the fuel lines from the bottle must be totally disconnected for street driving..

Top colour choice there, one of my favs at the moment, but will be a bltch to respray if it gets scratched/damaged, you may even have to respray the whole side of the car I have been told by a few sprayers.. Anyways, back on topic, yeah, I would keep it standard looking with no Tranny stripes, they look just much cleaner and IMHO the colour doesnt need it & would ruin the whole 'change colour look' of the car.. But holographic "XR6" and Turbo badges would be something that may look the best. But if it were mine, I would keep it as it is! There are stuff all T's in fantasy anyway, well I havnt seen one on the road yet, just in the showroom.. Good luck, if you do change it, post up some pics, or better yet, experiment with photoshop first, before you out lay money and all the time and effort to get them right on the car..

So force 6 is going to have stripes as a option, hope they are unique to the car.. Bout time..

So the newer versions of upmarket F6's (AKA Force 6) will get the memory seats I have always wanted.. What other lux items does a fairmont or LWB fairlane have that a F6 doesnt? I know of the memory functions and priority key, plus a passenger fully adjustable seat.. (but who cares bout passengers anyway).. ? I know that they are much nicer to drive as far as comfort goes as you feel very little bumps and so on due to the LWB, but they are also much harder to live with everyday due to difficulty of turning/parking etc..?

Sorry mate, I meant I didnt really have a answer for your question. Understood it clearly! The one I saw on the F6 here wasnt a GT one, it looked like Herrods unit. I cant see why not though, just need to speak to someone more knowlegable to see if they are straight bolt on bits!

Not really sure bout your question, but there is a nice BF F6 going around Adelaide ATM with a quad exhaust. Looks mean as! Yellow one..

Yeah fords probem, they will prbably not cover it if you start mucking around with anything more than a simple globe or fuse.. Have fun!
