  1. Happy Birthday kgcG6ET!

  2. Vehicle has been sold to a fellow in Mackay who has the aim of getting it into the 10s.
  3. If I cannot sell it in the next couple on months, I will consider converting to E85 which should ensure a 10 sec time especially in winter. See what happens.
  4. Unfortunately, due to having too many cars, I need to put the G6E turbo up for sale. It has done 34,669km and I have put a price of $35,000 on it. It has $30k of extras and mods as list above in this thread.
  5. Dan, I totally agree with your comments on the brake package that you have chosen. I run DBA 4000 T3 Slotted Rotors with Ferodo DS Performance Pads (FDSE6002 & FDSE6004) and they are great for the size of them. Next to no dust and stop my car from 128mph at the drag strip with no effort at all. I also fully recommend them.
  6. Got a price for the 1,400hp half shafts and hubs from Diff Technics - $2,990. Rednose - Do you run these in your vehicle to get the times you have achieved? What 0-60' times do you achieve with your car at the drags on Radials?
  7. The HD halfshafts cost $550 from Prestige Auto. The price of the Driveshaft Shop Fd26 Full Chrome Moly Level 5 Axle/Hub Kit - 1,400hp would cost $2,200 + $367 freight + Import Duty ($400+?)
  8. Butt Plug have you had issues with your halfshafts and do you have the 1400hp shaft installed in yours? I did price them at one stage but they are not cheap. They would certainly be the way to go but I cannot justify the cost just yet.
  9. My car has averaged 9.1 L/100km for a 300km trip on the highway and averages around the 11 L/100km around the city. For the power that these cars can generate, the fuel economy is quite reasonable if driven normally compared to e.g. a Mercedes C63 which would average in the high teens around town.
  10. The ODS HD halfshaft was the shaft that sheared off at the hub. The reason for the breakage could have been that the nut on the halfshaft hadn't been tightened correctly on installation and had come loose. I will explain my reasoning for this. Normally when I jack the rear of the car off the ground, it would be to change the wheels over to the M/T ET Radials. During this process, I leave the handbrake on. While replacing the broken halfshaft, I obviously had to release the handbrake and found by accident that the DS rear wheel wobbled side to side. Initially, I thought it maybe a bearing but on further investigation, I found that the haftshaft was loose. It took 2 full turns on the nut to tighten it up. If the ODS was the same, it could have been the cause of the breakage. The HD halfshafts were installed by an independent workshop. The HD halfshafts do not have a manufacturer marked on them. They were purchased from Prestige Auto Venue, Victoria. I was told they come from the US. The shaft is larger in diameter and the CV joints are stronger. The attached photos show the standard halfshaft compared to the HD halfshaft.
  11. Driveline isn't standard. Strengthened flexplate, rebuilt zf gearbox by Monsta Torque - increased stall on torque convertor, capable of handling 750kw, Hardie Spicer Chrome Moly tailshaft, LSD and HD halfshafts.
  12. I am running Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 11 #3782R - P265 X 40 R18 set at 17psi pressure. I am loading it up on the line to 3,000rpm and waiting for the boost to reach 15psi before I launch it. This method appears to be achieving reasonable 0-60' times (1.65sec) when the half shaft stays in one piece. I will give it another go when the temperatures get down to the low teens again.
  13. Thanks fellows for your kind words. Come next winter, I will give that elusive 10sec a good run. If I converted to E85, it would be easy but I want to achieve it using BP98.
  14. My brother passed away from cancer.
  15. The 11.08sec run at Willowbank was done when the power was 409rwkw and torque 895NM. The 0-60' time was 1.676sec. After getting the tune tweaked by Real Dyno Performance to 432rwkw and 923NM, I gave it another go. On the first run, I got a great start with a 0-60' time of 1.659sec but hit the rev limiter in low gear which spoilt the time. On the second run, while I was loading it up on the line, the ODS HD halfshaft decided to shear off at the hub. That was the end of the night and I haven't been back due to the hot weather. It should easily get into the high 10s with a good run. Below is the Dyno Chart, a photo of a burnout at Willowbank and time sheet.
