Thing is though; car was fine before hand. It never use to rev up like that; so it only happened once. Im just wondering what could have caused it to now go from 15 to now 13 after it stalled once. Last time this happened it was because my fuel pumps were shot and fuel pressure was dropping. -

SuperPro Poly. Even has a washer on there to stop the bolt ripping through it again. -

Car is tuned. Thing is I dont have an xcal for it so ill have to have the mechanic have a look at it to scan it. As for the diff bush, I did change diff bushes already. Upgraded them after it split not that long ago so I get the idea of the little thud. Thinking just the gearbox needs replacing idk. -
Hey All; So I've got a 08 F6-310. Running roughly 500rwhp (probably less atm). I've gone through quite a bit of hell fixing this car up. Within the first year of it (bought it 2nd hand fml already modded), I've had turbo go bust, fuel pumps, clutch etc etc. (Car is manual) I love driving the car. It's my daily. When she pulls boost it's amazing. But there are somethings that just are bothering me atm. Now I'm not a mechanic, so was wondering if anyone could help me with possible causes for when I take it into the mechanic so we don't waste too much time. 1. Car was running a tad lean (15-15.3 AFR) in idle, but under boost is fine. Was just lightly boosting down the road/down the hill. Hit the lights. Car starts shaking a little, revs up, then stalls ('ETC Fault' is what came up). Start the car up again, she's now running idle at 14, and just during normal driving it's between 11-13. I have no idea what it could be; apart from O2 sensor? But I recently replaced my old one after it came loose and was in contact with piping and melted. 2. I had a cracked gearbox crossmember. We got a new one and we put in a TUFF Mount for it. It's tightened everything up since there was a bit of knocking going around. I was told the knocking was just the gearbox have a bit of movement from teh cracked crossmember. That being said; there is a strong bit of clunking when the clutch disengages, as though there is movement in the gears. Other issues include sometimes throwing the gears into second is sometimes hard. It won't go in or it grinds a little (usually in lower revs). Also when I do extremely quick gear changes, there is a thud (we thought it was the movement due to the cracked crossmember but it's still there so maybe in the gearbox?) any ideas? 3. If I full rev first gear; my tyres spin. Issue is at somepoint, there is constant thudding at higher revs. Like something is about to snap (Ive already gone through two cv joints). I was told it was because I have a Kazz Diff, but does anyone else have this issue? It kinda is annoying when I can do a burnout in a crappy proton, but if I go to do one in my f6, it sounds like the tyres aren't actually burning out. Any ideas? I really do appreciate any and all feedback! Thank you! George

Another reason is because I love the F6's interior and the body kit etc. To me it feels better and doesn't remind me so much of a taxi haha (no offense) -

These are his mods that he's done in the past two years so I'm kinda happy. If he's had it for only two it limits the time he could have thrashed it tbh. - 20' staggered wheels with Pirelli P Zero rubber, plenty of tread - Lowered on King Springs - Rapid Intercooler - 3.5' X-Force exhaust from turbo back - Herrod cold air intake - 80lb Siemens injectors - SCT 3 tune box -

Going in today to have a look at that Modded F6 for $32,900. Anything I should be incredibly wary about guys and girls or to look at/pay attention to the car? Also Jet told me to stay the f*ck away from his raped F6 hahaha -

Didn't see the mods cause it was posted as a mobile link. I'll see what I can do. $33k is still a fair amount out of my budget and I don't think he'd be willing to drop considering how much he's put into it. It's a hard choice. I really do love the way the F6 looks tbh. I'll keep it in mind though! Thanks mate. Also, any way I can post more cause Im limited to one more post after this one haha. EDIT: Also, trying to convince my nan to buy a modified car is hard enough at the moment as it is, haha. -

The only reason I would even spend close to that much money on a car is if I'm getting an F6. Found plenty of Xr6's for $10k less with maybe 20,000k KM ontop. -

I found an Auto F6 that's the colour I want, unfortunately it has 197000km on it. The good news is that it was a privately traded in and Hunter's Expensive Daewoo supposedly have the mechanics look at it. Swing or miss? I know the KM are fairly high but Hunter Expensive Daewoo is a pretty big company and fairly reputable. Any advice? PS. Am I allowed to post a link? -
Hey all, around a year ago I made a post trying to decide what was best for me in choosing an XR6T or an F6. The time has come for me to choose a car (only have $30k budget though) and the decision I've come to is the following but I need help deciding; - F6 Auto (Found one manual asking for $35k but its too much out of budget for me to get). I found one for $33k which already has had work done to it [350kw] and sitting on 100k KM and another for 28k that's stock and sitting on 130k KM). -XR6T Manual. Not in the colours I want (apart from one but the guy isn't getting back to me). Can pick one up for about $20k and might be able to convince the bank (aka my nan) that I need to spend some cash on it to make it last longer. -XR6T Auto. I'm a little stuck for wear guys. I read up that the F6's aren't even majorly that much faster than an XR6T so I'm a bit confused on what to go for. Also, they don't have the colour I'm after (apart from a Green F6 with 200k KM on it which is way too much). Advice peeps? Is the F6 really worth the extra? The guy who is selling his worked one has had it for two years and he did the work to it via a shop. Better off just getting an XR6T and doing some work to it via a shop? Cheers, George.

Not yet sorry mate! Still need to wait for the house to be sold. Our current person of interest just dropped out on us unfortunately :( I also read up that the ZF gearbox can go out pretty quick once you start pushing 350kw?

SO just a bit of an update. I decided that if I can pick up an F6 for around the 30k mark then I will. Overall if I decide to pick up a car, an F6 would be something that I'd be more inclined to keep for a longer amount of time than an XR6T. I understand that I could probably pick up an XR6T for less and mod it up to make more power then a F6 BUT the F6 is just built stronger from what I read and personally looks so sexy. I've also decided to go ZF Auto (Drove a Toyota with its Sequential Shifting and was amazingly fun so I'm gonna guess that its very similar to the ZF). It also gives me more choice with cars and less expensive. If I did decide to go for an F6, what are somethings I should be weary about? Heard the brakes and diff bushes are an issue with them, anything else? Cheers

Yeah I realised that since the Auto's hold boost way better but in the end, I like manual and prefer the control if it slips out. Also, I don't really plan on making it anything past mid 300'skw. Nothing within my price range :/

Will do guys, If I can get myself a cheap XR6T Manual then Ill go for it but if an F6 the right price pops up, might go that one instead. Thanks for the help everyone!

Only thing is I don't really want an Auto. Prefer the control from a manual better! Just preference I guess.

A second hand one maybe. Seen a couple for mid to high $30's, which are around the same for a MKii FG. Honestly but, I don't know if I should bother or not?

If this is in the wrong area then my apologies and if it can be moved to the right topic that would be awesome! I'll start off by introducing myself. I'm George. 22 Years old. Do what most kids my age do, aka Video Games, Gym, few hobbies here and there. I use to dislike XR6's. They grew on me though, to the point that the FG models are looking so damn sexy I'm tempted to take out a loan haha. Now I've been reading into these for a bit now and my aim is to get a nice car for 5 or so years till I have enough to buy the Ford Mustang they are planning on releasing (don't judge me hahah) So far, I've been looking at the XR6T FG since I've seen them for about $20k odd or so. Some of them are modded, while others aren't. I wouldn't mind the FG MKii but most of them Second hand are looking at $10k more for some interior and new front bumper! I'm looking at some mods for the FG XR6T but mostly just things to make sure that the boost won't destroy the car (aka, fuel pump, injectors, valve springs and intercooler). Might get an exhaust as well to make me jizz myself each time it revs. But those mod's are generally what I've read up on to make sure that the FG can take a bit of a hit without overstressing the stock parts. Now, If I did want to go MKii, I'm not too sure if I should just skip it and buy a F6 310 instead. Also, is there anything I should be looking at when buying XR6T's or F6's that would let me know that they have been thrashed too much? tdlr; XR6T FG with some mods or MKii vs F6 310. Also, How much would it cost to get it sprayed? Personally I love just the Orange or Green but would settle for White as well. Cheers George
