Do XR6T/F6 have specific valve covers so you get a N/A model one of a wrecker and get that painted? I would like a blue one like the F6 but dont need to/have funds to upgrade to the F6 long motor. At a guess they would be the same? Or does the standard crossover need a specific turbo valve cover?

Hi Guys, I am interested in a shifter for my T56. Could we please have some details and prices on any options available. I understand that there are different colours but is there the option of a shorter stick? What does this cost in total? And how does this affect the throw and the force required to shift compared to a standard length Mal Wood shifter? Thanks

The 29th sounds good. I'll try to make this one aswell hopefully. Just need to make a half way meet up spot as said above. And maybe no starts with other cruises that will attract the cops again. I do like the hills cruises but anywhere except the middle of town will fine.

G'day Mate. Lots of threads on this allready... But the diffrences between sedan XR6T and Typhoon are same as the ute mostly. Depending on you build date of the XR6T you are comparing it to. The main diffrenence is in the conrods and other engine extras like oil cooler and bigger intercooler. The brakes will be PBRs if BAII as standard or Brembos if optioned or standard 4 pot/single Brembos if BF onwards or upgrade 6pot/single if you are lucky. You cant get 4 pot rears on Tornado as upgrade you only get 6 pot fronts. Interior will have better seats and other extras as optioned or standard in BFII's. Also try not to post in capitals as it makes it hard for people to read your post.

All Typhoons will have a stronger bottem end. All Territory Turbos got the upgrade as well I think?

Hey Guys! First week of XR owning going well! Have not given it to much continuous stick, just the odd run to 5,000rpm! What does she fuel cut at is it 5,800rpm ? Looking forward to some Gorge Rd runs in it on the weekend! Just a question? How soon did you guys take it to the drag strip? Im very keen to go back to AIR. Hello All! I am now I proud owner of a MKII turbo. All is well with the car it seems! Got the manual so its a little clunky still! Hope it will go away but not get any worse. I am to used to japanese gearboxes! Overall very happy with the car just got to get used to the manual. I dont think the auto would have been a option even with a 6 speed available! I just prefer to change gears!

Cant wait to pick her up now! Any tips with running in? I have tried to search a bit. Basically found that varied revs & loads in the fisrt few thousand kilometers. Cheers Leigh

I am very keen to hang on to the car for a long amount of time. This is the main reason I want to get a Run Out BA. So I know what has happened to the car from Day 1. Does anyone know what oil ford use in the T before the first service? Ant hints or tips with using the search function? I am new to this! Thanks Leigh

Thanks for the replies. Must agree that oil changes in a turbo car cannot be done to soon. What brands of semi-synthetic oil do people recommend? 15w-40 but what brands have people had good results with? Then once run in what have people been using? To all the Adelaide people Im in the North East of Adelaide!

Thanks Goldie! Interseted to know if anyone changed there oil before the First Service. Did you find anything in the oil? Metal shavings? Do Ford run Mobil 1 straight fom the get go? Am I being a little paranoid but Ford service intervals seem very long for a factory turbo car? Am planning on using Ford for warranty issues only. Cheers Leigh

Now that I have made a decision on a car thought it might be time I became a member. I have purchased a Run Out XR Turbo in Rapid with a 6 speed Manual & the premium sound package. Can't wait to pick up later this week! Im currently working out the forum. I am going to do a search on - running in procedures - what type of oil ford uses on services - first oil change time frame @ 1500km rather 3000km Look forward to your advise on all topics relating FORD & XR TURBOS Cheers Leigh
