  1. I have just fitted some 15x7 to my BA MK2 with PBR PK8 upgrade kit to the rear wheels. Did not have to grind the calipers with this brake setup to get them to fit. My rims might be strange as they state they are 15x6 but must have been widened to 15x7. They do have a FORD stamp on them. I have painted them silver and fitted some 235/60 R15 Mickey Thompson ET street radials to them. Just need some help to find the local drag strip now........
  2. I want!! I want!! I want!! Should be a hills run though, with a few designated stops for everyone to catch up. Something like a few runs up and down the gorge or a montacute/norton summit loop up to lofty carpark?....
  3. Maybe consider a six speed manual conversion.....

  6. I ran a 14.5(I think) back in 2006 at calder(track was slippery),in my totally stock 6 speed manual XR6T. I didnt quite get to 100mph! My 60' was a 2.2 so that was what was stopping me getting a bit quicker for the stockie. I've also raced my 13BT RX7 at AIR before they closed that down, was not running well only ran a 14 in that too. But yeah heeps of fun what ever car you do it in. No matter how crazy you think you can be on the street, there is nothing like holding it flat at the track in fourth as you cross the line. Would love to do a 119mph 1/4 one day....
  7. Farmers Union Ice Coffee is the only way to go. In South Australia we drink more Farmers Union Ice Coffee than we do coke.
  8. Nice time and MPH, I would love to pull a 60'time like that one day......
  9. If you cruise around in them lots, without getting on it, they do feel a bit sleepy. Especially with the ZF as it will change its shift habits to your driving style. Even with my manual box it feels sometimes rather sluggish and slow if I havn't been giving it a regular serving of right foot. Might be time for some mods for me too.......
  10. Gday Mate, This is what I was interested in too. Can any one on here confirm that the caliper in the PBR PK8 upgrade kit is a C6? Not that it really matters to me as I have bought this kit already. Just curious now. I might have to check with pad part numbers on the Net to see if anything crosses over. Thanks Guys.
  11. Hi again, I went with the full PBR PK8 kit. Can pay it off through work account. Hope it is pretty good. Will follow up once fitted. See ya.
  12. That would be the way I would like to go with C5/C6 style calipers at front with 325mm vented discs and the territory rear calipers and 328mm vented discs on the rear. Just on another note, might have to call my insurance comapany, the full PBR PK8 kit be ADR approved. As was fitted to BA falcons as an option. What is the go with mixing the parts of the diffrent models and fitting them? They would have to comply to the original cars obviously. So will the insurance company and cops like the above mod. Or would it just be best to go with the full PBR PK8 kit? And what size are the territory rear discs? Are they actually 328mm. Thanks
  13. I know there is not much difference in size between the two calipers and I thought C6 was just reference to that they were first released on the Corvette C6. Then they were adopted by other manufacturers, such as HSV and FPV Does anybody know what the PBR/BA FPV front calipers are referred too? As in part #'s or brake pad references. They do not take the same pads as the PBR/BA FPV do they? I guess one of the advantages of the BFXR6T calipers is that they would be more common and brake pads and discs would be cheaper to replace? Any advice from people that have had a BA with PBR premos or BA FPV's then have changed car to a BF XR6T? On a side note did BA FPV's obviously have a solid 303mm rear rotor aswell? Thanks again for the help.
  14. Would love some Brembos one day. But looking for something to pull me up better but still stay under the radar. I think a front kit of 4 pot brembos is about $2500. I can get the full PBR PK8 kit for about $2000, but I think I want the 328mm Territory/BFI XR6T vented rears for some reason. I am still wearing down the stockies but they are warping on the front now pretty baddly. Just trying to get some facts and prices together.
  15. Thanks guys, Are the PBR C6 calipers bigger, by a small amount, than the BF XR6T calipers or are they the same? I know they are all made by PBR. Is there much of an increase in performance of the larger caliper? What other options in sliding-style calipers are available? I have seen a Ford Mustang Cobra with larger style calipers, I think the saloon cars run these as standard in their race class. Can anybody help me with a link for the rear brake conversion BA to BFI XR6T. I am looking for any part #'s of different parts required. Are the calipers different/bigger on the rear when converting to territory/BFI XR6T vented rear rotors than my BA rear calipers. Thanks for the help on this.....
  16. Hi, I am looking for some help and advice on upgrading my brakes on my BAII XR6T. Cant upgrade to Brembos yet, so looking at the other options.I have done lots of searching on this and other forums and need some extra help. There seems a lot of misconception on what brake sizings are on each model and what actually works well. I would like to upgrade the whole system to the PBR premos (kit # PK8 for cars with traction control). I think this gives me the larger C6 calipers on the front and the 325mm rotors. But the rear upgrade in this kit is still a solid 303mm rotor, which I am not that keen on. The other option is to upgrade to BFI XR6T brakes. I think this will give me the larger rotors (322mm I think), but not quite as big as the C6 front calipers as in the PBR kit. But this will get me vented rear rotors (328mm I think), but using my same rear caliper with different mounting bracket to accomodate larger rotor? What I am trying to say is I would like vented rotors all round, but also would like the bigger C6 calipers that come in the PBR PK8 kit, I know most of the braking is done by the front anyway. What are my options to get the best all round kit? But not Brembos yet. Also interested in peoples experiences with these kits, either in PBR premo form or FPV BA basic brakes (same kit)or with BFI/II XR6T. And any other help with caliper sizing on PBR Premo VS BF XR6T front and rear calipers. And also rotor sizings aswell. Thanks if you can offer any advice.
  17. G'day guys, I am hoping to make it to the low altitude cruising session tonight. Especially if it might be a hills run! Depends on how my rugrat is though... Have a good run. Hope to get there. What is the start location again? Is it still Hollywood plaza at 7pm.
  18. BAII XR6T Manual 210RWKW 1st run 204RWkW 2nd run
  19. I have had my turbo badge off since the end of 2005. Mine being a manual and stock I was sick of people up my ass at the lights. To lazy to give it some of the line all the time. Recently took the rest of too. Destroys the sleeper look of a NA but much cleaner look for the rear of the car IMO. As has been said its easy as to get them off. I used a hair dryer to heat up the tape then used fishing line to get them off. Cleaned the remainder up with some prepsol then washed the car afterwards.
  20. Thanks Sticks. Just recieved mine. Appreciate your work on this one.
  21. Hi Sticks, I would like one Walbro GSS-340 pump. Please could you PM me your bank details. How much longer is the group buy open for and how long until you start sending units out? Thanks
  22. Most of the quicker BF's have the ZF 6 speed automatic gearbox. The manuals need a very good driver to get the most out of them. The automatic will hold boost between gear changes while the manual will dump boost. I belive that valve springs can be a bit hit and miss even between similar build date cars. If you really want a manual then a BA F6 with optioned brakes would be nice and not as common as the BF F6. But if you want the ZF auto then BF is the only way to go.
  23. Engine is the same all through F6 series (upgraded short block). It will be the same block as what you had in your BF II XR6T built after 6/06. Only changes are larger cooler and engine oil cooler added for all F6 engines over XR6T engines. I think BF II F6 get the chunky steering wheel as standard sa well
  24. Good cruise guys. Nice photos. Look forward to the next one.
  25. I installed mine recently too. Made a nice little increase with k&n done at same time. Especially after driving around standard for the last three years untill warranty ran out. Definately feeling the better top end in the manual.
