lol im thinking about getting a turbo ute, but father in law is tossing up G6e turbo or phoon... need to know if the brembos cost an arm and a leg to replace pads, coz that's what I've heard...

Hi all, just wondering what sort of servicing costs I'd be looking at for an FG F6? also, I've heard that new pads for brembos are really expensive, what sort of numbers am I looking at there? cheers all...

Sorry man but that thing is so ugly! ← I dont think its ugly, but I would have dropped the back a little, got rid of the mudspats, stripes, weathersield? thing on the drivers window, and found a new centre cap for the rear wheel... I also would have gotten rid of all the badges and stickers, but that's just me...

lol I was at the Expensive Daewoo dealer looking at a ve gts in the car park, and a salesman about 20-25 walks up and starts talking about it. he then asked about my car and I pointed it out and he said "oh, a ford... well at least its a turbo... I've heard those turbos go allright, make up for the fact that its a 6 almost..." so I said "yeah, mines got a few basic mods, 285rwkw, so it'd probably be a little bit quicker than this"... than he says "yeah, but mines got an exhaust, so it was 307kw standard and now its up around 400kw..." you'd think a sales person would know the difference between flywheel figures, and rear wheel... also, if I start talking about power levels, injectors, turbo sizing and the like, you'd think hang on a minute, theres no bullsh*tting this guy about a 93kw exhaust gain... as a side note, I highly doubt the car was his, it was the only ve hsv there, I think the manager probably owned it...

those "GT-6's" your talking about are sold from a dealer like that, they are XT's with full gt kits, but with original headlights, and gt-6 stickers in the stripes... people buy them and then proceed to think they are better than any xr or fpv drivers... its really quite pathetic... your right though, theres stripes everywhere down here!

yeah, I saw the old magna there that day... that was supposed to be an annual event, but got canned this year, and dont think it'll be on next year either... cant say exactly why it closed, theres a million rumours though...

also, I didnt have any bolts behind the number plate either...

you have to take the grille off, theres about 6 plastic screws on the top, then you'll see two 10mm bolts on top of the bar, they have to come out. theres a heap along the bottom of the bar, lining the undertray thing(I just left the undertray thing off) and a couple of screws in the guards on the outside edge. as someone else said, after all the screws are out, you have to pull the bar out from the sides, it clips in. after you do it once, you'll be able to do it in about 3 mins... it looks a bit daunting, but just get stuck into it, and you'll be surprised with how easy it is... p.s. if it proves a bit difficult unclipping the bar at the sides, just pull the bar down a bit, and look in the gap between the bar and guard, and you should be able to work out what you have to do...

I dont think AIR will be opening any time in the next year at least... dont know anything about a riverland strip...

Mallala and tha other one!! ← mate, adelaide international has been closed for about a year now... there is mallalla, but theres no quarter mile there, and I dont know which other track your talking about...
