That VC would be quite valuable today, is it in good condition these days? My first car was a HK Belmont with 3 on the tree and a 161ci motor. I done heaps of kays in that thing but like many of us and our first cars it came to an end with a crunch!

Are you saying you changed the ecu cause you wanted to get over 450 or you changed it to get 450? What was the power figure ATW with the standard ecu?

My driver door actuator died, lucky with the driver door you can still lock it via the old school button down and hold the handle up technique

Ive put ethanol blended fuel in ages ago and never a problem, the fuel was that SHELL V POWER RACING 100, nice fuel but not for everyday.

I just got edited after 4 years of UNICHIP, at this stage its a capa style edit which im pretty happy with as the ute has never been better and its giving me butterflys in the stomach when I drive now which is a bonus as ive had the car since new and having a good feeling again about it is pretty cool. The over all power figure was kept the same but the rest is totally different and all for the best. I will be retuning it via a different edit once I have more time to book the car back in to the tuners, I basically had to get my car back before the tuner had enough time to fully work out this new EDIT style hence the (temporary) CAPA style edit.I have no preference to which edit my car is tuned with by the way.. Im glad I heard it from someone, im really sick of the rapid power loss from start up. Its like after 10 mins you lose about 40kw, well at least that's how it feels.

I like these cars, nice classy look with the power on tap. Its a luxury car and I guess if its teated like that no LSD is needed, its when talk of modding them and lowering with big wheels is metioned that I start to hear tyre noise and I start to see understeer.

Lets just see how he goes, I think its a welcome change regardless of circumstance.

I have tossed around the idea of working in the mines, but quality of life is the one thing that turns me around. Big dollars in labour based jobs doesnt come easy if your the one doing the labour..

How do the gears shred when hitting the limiter? Is it only when bouncing on and off it or is it the same if your just hitting it once, like if you spin the wheels and it just flys up to the limiter then you back off????

I think management is a good starting point to any career change especially if you had to supervise employees. Id say with the curret financial situation the change to Marine Sales would be a dead end Whats this new job

I guess the first thing I would consider would be, is my skill set usefull with another employer or am I capable to run a business on my own using these skills. A few good years then a decade of not so good years might not make the transition valuable. This might not be the case with your decision but the chances are just as even. I would say that most of us here have thought about a change in career, I think it shows courage to think outside the box and your already half way there to changing. If you tell us what you do it may help.
